Welcome to the Multiverse Group Chat!!!

Chapter 342: Chapter 338 ~ Overseer

The second Tri-Summit Meeting concluded far more smoothly than the first.

Discussions regarding the upcoming meeting with the All-Father, Odin, were finalized with remarkable efficiency. The three factions reached a swift consensus: an official alliance with the Asgard Pantheon would be pursued, and the meeting would serve as the final step to formalize that pact.

It was decided that Yuuji, Aika, Albedo, and Erika would attend the meeting alongside Rias Gremoryʼs and Sona Sitriʼs peerages. In the eyes of Heaven, the Underworld, and the Grigori, Yuuji and his companions would stand as trusted allies—neutral overseers whose presence alone ensured balance and deterrence.

Rather than political negotiations, the bulk of the summitʼs remaining time was devoted to a far more pressing concern.

Security.

After the ambush during the first Tri-Summit, followed by Creuserey Asmodeusʼ attempted assassination earlier that very day, none of the leaders were willing to entertain even the slightest risk. A meeting involving Odin—one of the most dangerous and cunning gods in existence—was not something that could be protected by conventional means.

Yuuji and the members of the Multiverse Group Chat actively participated in the planning.

From their perspective, absolute security would be trivial. If they so desired, they could seal the venue so completely that not even Great Red—one of the two strongest beings in this world—would be able to force his way inside.

Ophis, naturally, would also be unable to enter. Though, in her case, it hardly mattered.

At this very moment, the Infinity Dragon God was comfortably lounging within Yuujiʼs [Kingʼs Treasury], lazily snacking alongside the twin slimes, Alice and Aria. Occasionally, she would poke her head outside solely to receive affectionate pats from Yuuji before returning to her peaceful retreat.

However, perfection was never the goal.

Yuuji and the others deliberately proposed leaving gaps in the defensive net. Not vulnerabilities—never that—but carefully calculated openings.

Because they knew what was coming.

Shalba Beelzebub, one of the final two remaining leaders of the Old Satan Faction, would not miss this opportunity. He intended to exploit Lokiʼs schemes to infiltrate the meeting and trigger the opening moves of Ragnarok, and assassinate Sirzechs and Serafall in the ensuing chaos.

That ambition would be his undoing. This meeting would become his grave. And once Shalba fell, only one name would remain.

Rizevim Livan Lucifer. The final mission. The final execution.

Of course, even with intentional gaps in the defenses, the safety of their allies—and those Yuuji cherished—would never be compromised.

Not for even a second.

Odin was genuinely taken aback when Rossweisse informed him that an ally of the three major factions would be present at the upcoming meeting—and not merely as a guest, but as a neutral overseer.

He leaned back slightly in his throne, one eye narrowing in thought as he tapped his fingers against the armrest.

”An overseer, you say?”

Odin mused.

”That is unexpected. Do we know anything about this individual—or group?”

Rossweisse shook her head.

”Very little, All Father. The three factions only stated that they are long-standing allies who have cooperated with them on multiple occasions. They were also directly involved in resolving the incident during the first Tri-Summit Meeting.”

Odinʼs expression grew more serious at that.

He had heard of the attack—an audacious, large-scale assault orchestrated by one of the leaders of the Old Satan Faction. An all-out strike against Heaven, the Underworld, and the Grigori, executed with terrifying coordination. Worse still, it was later revealed that the perpetrators were tied to the Khaos Brigade.

An organization led by Ophis—the Dragon God of Infinity.

Even Asgard, mighty as it was, could not stand alone against such a force.

That reality was precisely why Odin had agreed to this alliance in the first place.

Still…

”To think the three factions would entrust oversight to a fourth party,” Odin murmured.

”And one they hold in such high regard.”

His lips then curled into a grin, the tension easing slightly as his usual mischievous demeanor resurfaced.

”Well, I suppose weʼll see for ourselves soon enough. Hahaha! Who knows, perhaps youʼll even find yourself a husband among them!”

Rossweisse stiffened.

Her shoulders twitched, her cheeks flushing red as she clenched her fists in equal parts embarrassment and irritation.

”All Father! Please refrain from such jokes!”

”Hahaha! Ah, ah—very well, very well,” Odin waved dismissively, still chuckling.

”Now then, onto more pressing matters. How goes our recent business with Linked Horizons?”

Rossweisse exhaled, quickly regaining her composure. Straightening her posture, she slipped back into her role as a professional Valkyrie.

”It is proceeding smoothly,” she reported.

”Lady Maria, a direct subordinate of Lady Estelle, has finalized the agreement regarding our joint research initiative. The focus will be on the development of new defensive artifacts to safeguard Asgard.”

Her eyes lit up slightly as she continued.

”Several proposals have already been submitted. Our researchers were… extremely enthusiastic. Experimental work has already begun.”

For the first time since the conversation began, Odin nodded with unmistakable satisfaction.

”That is excellent news,” he said.

”Iʼm pleased theyʼre treating this matter with the seriousness it deserves. After all, though we call it ʼjoint researchʼ for diplomacyʼs sake, we are—truthfully—seeking their expertise.”

He laughed loudly.

”And thankfully, they didnʼt demand Gungnir as payment! Hahaha!”

Rossweisse frowned faintly at the thought.

The idea of offering one of Asgardʼs greatest divine treasures as collateral made her uneasy—but she could not deny the truth.

Securing cooperation with Linked Horizons was notoriously difficult.

She had heard of entire factions surrendering vast swaths of territory just for the right to purchase or license a single piece of their magical technology.

The cost was staggering.

Yet the benefits were undeniable.

”Forgive my boldness, All Father,” she said carefully, ”but… may I ask what payment was agreed upon for this cooperation?”

Odinʼs smile softened, tinged with something more contemplative. He let out a quiet sigh.

”They requested permission to research—and collect samples from—Yggdrasil.”

”Eh?!”

Rossweisseʼs eyes widened in shock.

Of all things… Yggdrasil?

Not merely the practical implications—its immeasurable magical value—but its symbolic, historical, and spiritual significance made the request staggering.

It was the very pillar upon which Asgardʼs existence stood.

Before she could voice her protest, Odin raised a hand.

”I know exactly what youʼre thinking,” he said calmly.

”And believe me, I considered every consequence—then considered them again.”

He leaned forward slightly, his gaze firm.

”But I chose to accept because this alliance offers more than just artifacts. It offers a relationship with Linked Horizons.”

Rossweisse fell silent.

”You know as well as I do how influential they are,” Odin continued.

”Their reach spans realms. Their connections dwarfed even ours. By becoming their partner, Asgard gains access—not just to protection—but to support when we may need it most.”

”…I see.”

Rossweisse was still shaken, but she could no longer deny the logic.

Even from the surface-level knowledge she possessed, she knew Linked Horizons was a power that transcended traditional faction lines. Many sought their favor.

Few ever obtained it.

By becoming their ally, Asgard had leapt far ahead of countless others.

”But still…” she hesitated.

Odin chuckled softly, offering her a warm, reassuring smile.

”Your concern honors both Yggdrasil and this realm. That alone tells me I made the right choice in entrusting you with these matters.”

Then he added,

”I also secured their promise to share all research results with us—and to refrain from selling any technologies derived from Yggdrasil to factions not allied with Asgard.”

Rossweisse stared at him.

”…You managed to extract that concession?”

”Honestly?” Odin shrugged.

”I was just as surprised as you are. They agreed with remarkable ease.”

He laughed again, though this time there was a hint of unease beneath it.

”I suspect someone high within their hierarchy put in a favorable word for us.”

Rossweisse frowned thoughtfully.

”All Father… the only individual above Lady Maria is Lady Estelle herself. Do you believe she intervened?”

Odin leaned back in his throne, his smile lingering—but his single eye sharp with contemplation, caution, and a trace of wariness.

”I donʼt know,” he admitted. ”But I sincerely hope Linked Horizons continues to stand as Asgardʼs ally.”

His voice grew quieter.

”We have enough enemies already. Especially in times like these.”

And especially—

”—not an enemy like them.”

--------------------------------X--------------------------------

Yuuji laid down on his bed, his naked chest raising up and down under the cover.

By his side, Albedo rested her flushed, naked body, wrapping her arms around his chest, and her legs around his. Her wings draped over Yuuji protectively and obsessively.

Her breath labored, her chest raising up and down as she breathed heavily.

Red spots and bite marks littered her body, most of which were on her breasts and nipples. They were all marks of love and possession, proof that her body belonged to her beloved, who gave these marks to her.

And he didnʼt only mark her body on the surface.

Between her belly and her womb, she had been filled to the brim with his seed and love, and not a single drop had flowed out of her because of the magic he cast at her request.

Fulfilled and overwhelmingly loved, both as a woman and as his wife, Albedo rested comfortably, her heart and body full of his love.

Albedo clung to him tightly as if she feared he might slip away the moment she loosened her grip. Her cheek rested against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, and a warmth spread through her entire being.

This was happiness. True happiness.

”Iʼm sorry for not being able to spend as much time as I wanted…”

Yuuji gently brushed his fingers through her long, silken hair, letting the strands slip between his fingertips as his voice softened with quiet guilt.

”I wish I could spend the days with you too. Not just the nights.”

He would always make time for her and his other lovers when the day ended—he had already decided that much.

But deep in his heart, he wanted more than those brief moments under the night sky. He wanted ordinary days as well. Lazy mornings, shared meals, simple conversations that werenʼt interrupted by crises or responsibilities.

Yet reality weighed heavily on him.

School still demanded his presence. Heavenʼs broken system needed rebuilding. Linked Horizons required his guidance, oversight, and decisions that would shape entire realms. His position, his power, his very existence pulled him in countless directions at once.

Before the weight of those thoughts could deepen the shadow in his eyes, Albedo shook her head firmly.

She lifted her face to him, golden eyes shining with warmth and absolute devotion. A sweet, radiant smile bloomed on her lips—one that chased away his guilt far more effectively than any reassurance spoken aloud.

”My love,” she said softly, her voice steady and sincere, ”donʼt apologize.”

She reached up, placing her hands over his chest as if to feel his heartbeat, as if grounding him there with her.

”I am happy simply being with you.” She continued, her smile gentle but unshakable.

”Every moment you give me is precious. Whether itʼs a single glance, a quiet night, or just knowing youʼre safe… thatʼs enough.”

Her eyes softened further, filled with a love so deep it bordered on reverence.

”You carry the weight of so many worlds.” Albedo said.

”So let me be the place where you can rest. Let me be someone who never asks for more than you can give.”

Yuuji felt his chest tighten, not with burden, but with warmth.

In that moment, surrounded by her unwavering devotion, he knew one thing with absolute certainty:

No matter how heavy his responsibilities became, Albedo would always be there—smiling, waiting, and loving him without condition.

”I love you, Albedo.”

Her smile bloomed brighter.

”I love you as well, Yuuji-sama. Forevermore. To eternity, and beyond it.”

”Letʼs complete these missions quickly. Then, we can relax and spend all of our time with each other.”

”By your will, my love.”
