Chapter 737  Chapter 303: The Crown Princeʼs Unprecedented Deed! Shaking the World! (Part 2)

”I have another proposal that will stabilize Qin and make it even harder for the remnants of the Six States to survive in the shadows.” Zhao Feng spoke with a cold tone, tinged with a slight sneer.

”Speak.”

”I am very much looking forward to it.”

Ying Zheng immediately laughed.

”Firstly.”

”To unify writing, in addition to creating a popular script, all books in the world must be collected. After the new characters emerge, they shall be cataloged and promoted throughout the land.”

”Secondly.”

”To spare the world from warfare and reduce chaos, collect all copper and iron materials and battle armor. The people shall not be allowed to possess weapons, armor, or forge weapons.”

”If discovered, severe punishment will be meted out.” Zhao Feng slowly stated.

”Good strategy.”

”In this way,”

”those remnants of fallen states who wish to rebel will find themselves without weapons and armor, thus easily defeated.” Ying Zheng laughed heartily.

Ying Zheng was very approving of these two strategies proposed by Zhao Feng, especially the latterʼs collection of weapons and armor.

This essentially cuts off the chances for the remnants of the Six States.

”Crown Prince,”

”Collecting weapons and armor from the world might be feasible, but thereʼs one issue.”

”Copper and iron are needed not just for weapons; hunters, butchers, and even farmers require them for tools like hoes.”

”If all weapon-related items are banned, how will the common people survive?” Yu Liao spoke with some reservations.

”The Shaofu has asked well.”

”Regarding this,”

”I naturally have a backup plan.” Zhao Feng chuckled.

Then he surveyed the assembled civil and military officials.

”After collecting the worldʼs weapons, ”

”blacksmith shops everywhere can register and submit their records to the government, which will allocate copper and iron for peopleʼs livelihoods. The quantity of copper and iron must be inspected monthly by the government, and if the loss is excessive beyond civilian use, it shall be immediately handed over for investigation by the Tingwei.”

”Eliminate any chance for the remnants of the Six States.”

”All copper and iron mines in the world will be brought under the control of the Imperial Court, and shall not circulate among the populace.” Zhao Feng said.

Upon hearing this,

Yu Liao nodded: ”The Crown Princeʼs planning is admirable.”

”In this way,”

”it indeed cuts off the opportunity for the remnants of the Six States to grow stronger.”

Upon Yu Liao speaking out,

Ying Zheng immediately laughed: ”I fully agree with Fengʼerʼs words.”

”Transmit my decree.”

”Four national policies, four positions selected by the Crown Prince will fully implement them.”

”Additionally,”

”Announce to the world, Qinʼs government will fully collect books from the Six States, any who do not comply will be punished, those who respond and submit books will be rewarded!”

”Now that the world is united, Qin governs the realm.”

”My Huaxia people will no longer suffer the calamities of war. When Qin Soldiers swept through the land, many weapons and armor from the Six Statesʼ armies were left among the populace. Now that the world is at peace, the common people do not need weapons and armor for self-defense, Qin Elite Soldiers will protect the citizens.”

”Therefore,”

”Qin will confiscate all weapons in the world, reforge the copper and iron, and craft new weapons.”

”From the moment this decree is issued, the places will have one month for announcement. After one month, government searches will ensue. Anyone found hiding weapons or armor will face severe punishment.”

”The copper and iron needed for peopleʼs livelihoods will be allocated to local blacksmith shops by the government.”

Ying Zheng declared loudly, and the decree was drafted accordingly.

”The First Emperor is wise.”

The assembled civil and military officials shouted in unison.

”Now.”

”Gentlemen, continue the discussions.”

Ying Zheng smiled, pleased that the national policies proposed consecutively by Zhao Feng had significant utility.

As the court discussions began to wrap up,

Zhao Feng suddenly spoke: ”Father Emperor, I have another matter to report.”

”Speak, Fengʼer.” Ying Zheng smiled.

”Now that I am the Crown Prince, holding authority over military and political affairs.”

”This position as Grand Commandant seems unnecessary for me.”

”Therefore, I recommend General Wang Jian as Grand Commandant, commanding the four camps of Qin.” Zhao Feng stated loudly.

Upon hearing this,

The hundreds of officials were not surprised.

For the news of Wang Jianʼs appointment as Grand Commandant had already spread following Zhao Feng becoming Crown Prince.

After all, Zhao Feng was already the Crown Prince and did not need the position of Grand Commandant.

Wang Jian, hearing this, felt an intense excitement in his heart.

”Since the Crown Prince has proposed.”

”And General Wang Jian can certainly undertake this great responsibility.”

”I approve.” Ying Zheng smiled, waving his hand, directly granting approval.

”I shall not disappoint the First Emperor.”

”Nor shall I disappoint the Crown Prince.” Wang Jian stepped into the hall, bowing deeply to Ying Zheng and Zhao Feng.

”General Wang Jian is promoted to Grand Commandant, Fengʼer, who do you think should lead the Lantian Camp as Shangjiangjun?” Ying Zheng again looked at Zhao Feng and asked.

Clearly, he once again passed the decision-making power to Zhao Feng.

”Wang Ben has the talent for commanding troops and can take on the great responsibility,” Zhao Feng immediately said.

This position naturally couldnʼt be given cheaply to outsiders.

Upon hearing this,

though many ministers in the court wanted to speak, they dared not say anything.

With Zhao Feng appointed as Crown Prince,

he was not a weak Crown Prince but one with high prestige both in the military and the realm.

With him present,

as long as Zhao Feng lives, the future throne is certainly his.

Whoever dares to oppose is openly going against Zhao Feng, courting death!

”So be it.”

”Approved.”

Ying Zheng smiled and nodded immediately.

To Ying Zheng,

he wasnʼt worried about his son having too much power and thus rebelling, after all, the future belongs to Zhao Feng, and with Zhao Fengʼs capability, there is no need for such actions.

Since it was entrusted to Zhao Feng, Ying Zheng gave him the greatest authority, passing the countryʼs power to him.

”Father Emperor is wise,” Zhao Feng immediately responded.

Watching as both Wang Jian and his son received immense imperial favor,

countless ministers in the court looked at Wang Jian with envious eyes.

”Ah.”

”The luck of the Wang family is truly good.”

”At first, the daughter of the Wang family unexpectedly married the Crown Prince.”

”Who could have thought?”

”If at that time, after the Crown Prince first entered the court, one had forged a good relationship with him, how great would that be?”

”Wang Jian as Grand Commandant, Wang Ben as Protector-General.”

”The Wang familyʼs power is too great.”

”All of this is because of the Crown Prince...”

Many people were envious beyond measure, wishing they could turn back time to ally with Zhao Feng, so that when Zhao Feng became Crown Prince, they might have a chance too.

”Fengʼer.”

”You are now the Crown Prince of Qin.”

”It is appropriate to go to the Ancestral Temple, recognize your ancestry, and be entered into the ancestral records,” Ying Zheng said with a smile.

”At Father Emperorʼs command.” Zhao Feng immediately replied.

”Good.”

Ying Zheng nodded, then looked at Li Si: ”How was Ying Xi handled?”

”Reporting to the First Emperor,”

”Ying Xi has confessed to all his crimes without reservation.”

”He awaits the First Emperorʼs decree for execution,” Li Si immediately replied.

”Execute.”

Ying Zheng did not hesitate and shouted directly.

”This minister receives the order,” Li Si bowed and withdrew.

”Since there is no Zongzheng now,”

”I shall choose a date,”

”In ten days, with the hundred officials witnessing, the Crown Prince, the princess, and all of the Crown Princeʼs sons and daughters shall go to the Ancestral Temple, recognize their ancestry,” Ying Zheng immediately announced.

”The First Emperor is wise.”

The ministers all loudly praised.

”This son receives the command.” Zhao Feng gladly accepted the order.

The hundred officials dispersed.

Inside the Morning Discussion Hall, only Ying Zheng and Zhao Feng remained.

”Fengʼer,”

”I did not expect your talent in state affairs to be so impressive.”

”Today, these four national policies you proposed, along with two confiscations.”

”Truly, it makes your father see you in a new light,” Ying Zheng said with a laugh, very gratified.

”In the coming period, the Remnants of the Six States will definitely retaliate.”

”Because they will surely know that Qin is cutting off their roots.”

”Moreover,”

”the people in Xianyang might also not be able to hold back,” Zhao Feng chuckled, his eyes carrying a hint of killing intent.

”What do you mean by this?” Ying Zhengʼs expression slightly changed.

”Now that I have become the Crown Prince, does Father Emperor think they will sit idly by?”

”Power moves peopleʼs hearts.”

”They have no choice but to act,” Zhao Feng laughed coldly.

”Then how do you plan to handle it?” Ying Zheng asked.

”They want my life, so I will give them a chance,” Zhao Feng smiled.
