My Youth Began With Him

“Watch your mouth!”

“Okay, if you have the strength to hit me, then you’re fine. You should go home, I’m tired.”

“Fine, I’ll go. Come home when you have time, your grandpa’s not doing well. He canceled a bunch of business trips.”

“Mhm, I’ll be home tomorrow evening for dinner.”

Only then did Mrs. Su nod in satisfaction and leave Su Yu’s private mansion.

– The next morning –

Huo Mian drove to a luxury shop in downtown in hopes of buying a couple of pairs of shoes for her wedding. To her surprise, she ran into Huo Siqian. Standing beside him was a clean-looking girl, but Huo Mian didn’t know who Wang Shasha was.

“Mian… are you really going to hold a wedding?”

“What, do you have a problem with it?” Huo Mian stared icily at Huo Siqian and asked impolitely.

“Ha, if I said I did, would you cancel it?” Huo Siqian smiled, enraging Huo Mian for some strange reason…

“Huo Siqian, who do you think you are? You’re hilarious… let me tell you, even if you’re Jesus himself, you won’t be able to stop our wedding. I’m… marrying Qin Chu, no matter what.”

“Yeah? I hope you can get what you want… but life is fickle, Mian, you really shouldn’t make such bold promises.”

“We’ll see.” Huo Mian treated Huo Siqian with zero politeness. She turned around and left, no longer in the mood to buy shoes.

After she left, Huo Siqian’s expression fell; he walked out of the shop as well.

“President Huo, I haven’t bought anything yet…” Wang Shasha felt wronged, but Huo Siqian didn’t respond. It seemed like he was thinking about something.

After getting in his car, Wang Shasha couldn’t help but ask, “Is that girl Mian, the girl you’ve been thinking about?”

“Why?” Huo Siqian glared at her.

“Nothing… she looks ordinary… I thought she’d be super pretty,” Wang Shasha replied enviously.

Indeed, before she met Huo Mian, Wang Shasha always wondered what kind of woman a man like Huo Siqian would’ve fallen in love with. However, she was a little disappointed by what she saw.

Huo Mian wasn’t pretty enough to awe the masses.

Wang Shasha wondered if Huo Mian wasn’t even as pretty as her, would Huo Siqian fall in love with herself one day?

She was too busy feeling proud of herself when she said this that she didn’t notice how angry her remarks made Huo Siqian.

He tilted his head and looked at her face as he said, word for word, “Let me tell you, a person like you is no better than Mian’s finger… you’re not fit to be compared to her.”

“Then what are you keeping me for?” furious, Wang Shasha retorted.

To her surprise, Huo Siqian pushed open his car door. “Get out, now.”

That’s when Wang Shasha realized that Huo Siqian was mad. Her tone softened, “President Huo, I didn’t do it on purpose, I…”

Before she even finished her sentence, however, Huo Siqian pushed her right out the door.

Wang Shasha fell onto the ground, immediately scraping her elbow.

Then, he started his Rolls-Royce Phantom and drove off, leaving nothing but dust behind him.

If Wang Shasha had known how important Huo Mian was to Huo Siqian, she would never have said what she said.

She was scared; Wang Shasha had gotten used to living the luxurious life, so if Huo Siqian stopped paying for her, she didn’t know what she was supposed to do.

Wang Shasha went from initially feeling confused and terrified towards Huo Siqian to relying on him both mentally and financially. Anyways, at some point, Huo Siqian became the most important man in her life, even though she had no idea what their relationship was.

He paid for everything and gave her everything, but he never touched her…

Wang Shasha didn’t know what to do about his treatment towards her.

After running into Huo Siqian, Huo Mian was in no mood to shop. Therefore, she drove back to Sky Blessing Court to pick up her mom, and the two of them headed to the Qin Manor.

Today was the official meeting of the in-laws before the wedding…
