Homo Sapiens

November 28th.

Back in the former capital—Binmane.

Wu Yebao, Mao Gu, and Brother Ba sat in the main seats of the conference hall.

Also present were Mao An, Mao Shi, Mang Zhengshan, Wu Xin, Shi Ning, and the heads of families from the southern, central, and Eastern regions.

Among the special guests were entrepreneurs such as Jing Hu, Wude, and Liu Zhifan.

It appeared the people present were from various factions, but in reality, Homo sapiens-affiliated members had an extremely high representation, reaching about 68%.

Among the three giants, Wu Yebao and Mao Gu were both secret members of the Homo sapiens faction.

The outside world was momentarily unable to process Hongsawaddy’s sudden transformation. As a result, they adopted a wait-and-see attitude, neither supporting nor opposing the change.

This also cost them their last chance to interfere in Hongsawaddy’s affairs.

The contentious, drawn-out negotiations in Bamana had come to an end.

Some time ago, Qingye Group also moved its headquarters from the coastal Tuwah Port to the easily defensible and hard-to-assault Dongzhi.

In fact, Liu Zhifan, Ma Chi, and Yang Mengjiao had previously discussed relocating the branch headquarters and had received Li Qingye’s approval, so they had already made the necessary preparations long ago.

This included the headquarters building, supporting facilities, and employee dormitories. Furthermore, considering the possibility of a sudden crisis at the Luzon Branch, they had also prepared a secret base and private estate for Li Qingye, readying Hongsawaddy to serve as a temporary main headquarters.

Inside the headquarters building in Dongzhi.

Liu Zhifan, Yang Mengjiao, Ma Chi, Domino, and the others were all gathered together.

”I will be returning to Chiang Mai soon to oversee the comprehensive infiltration and commercial investigation efforts in the Siam region.” Domino stated her intentions right from the start.

No one was surprised by this.

After all, Domino had only come to the Hongsawaddy Branch temporarily to provide support. Now that the Hongsawaddy Branch had successfully established a foothold, it was natural for her to return to Siam and focus on establishing the Siam Branch.

In fact, the Siam Branch had already become extremely important.

Especially after Homo Sapiens Company established a fully autonomous branch in Hongsawaddy, and with the Luzon Branch also being stable, the connection between these two branches was obstructed by Siam, Malaysia, and Xing Island.

A look at a map would show:

Hongsawaddy is in the northwestern part of Southeast Asia. To create a seamless connection with the Luzon Islands, there are only two possible routes.

One: by sea, passing through the Ceylon Ocean, the Malacca Strait, and the South Sea.

This route cannot avoid Xing Island. The problem is that this place is too small and too sensitive. It’s America’s intelligence hub in Southeast Asia, and establishing a fully autonomous branch on Xing Island without being discovered would be exceedingly difficult.

Two: by a combination of land and sea, passing through Siam, the Siam Bay, and the South Sea.

This route cannot avoid Siam.

However, Siam presents an opportunity to fish in troubled waters. As long as they operate cleanly and plan meticulously, their activities there won’t attract too much attention.

If Homo Sapiens Company can establish a fully autonomous branch in Siam, it means the three autonomous operational zones of Luzon, Siam, and Hongsawaddy can be linked together.

Therefore, Domino had to return to the Siam Branch as soon as possible to take charge.

As one of the three giants of the Hongsawaddy Branch, Liu Zhifan was the first to speak. ”If you need our help, don’t hesitate to ask.”

”I will.” Domino didn’t stand on ceremony; after all, they were all on the same side.

Liu Zhifan’s expression then turned serious. ”Next, let’s discuss the consolidation of the branch. Meng Jiao, you will be responsible for integrating all armed forces within the territory. Eliminate all warlords who refuse to cooperate.”

”No problem. I’ll complete the cleanup mission before the end of the year.” Yang Mengjiao nodded.

Liu Zhifan continued, ”Ma Chi, I’m leaving the expansion of Qingye Group to you.”

Ma Chi also agreed. This was essentially his duty, as he was currently playing the role of the company’s founder, Li Qingye.

”I will finish the purge and absorption of the major families as soon as possible.” Liu Zhifan’s own task was to eliminate the major families and private enterprises that remained outside the Homo Sapiens Company’s system.

After the three giants had assigned their respective tasks, they got busy.

The entire Hongsawaddy region entered a state of silent yet incredibly rapid transformation.

...

Tuwah Port.

The former headquarters of Qingye Group did not show any obvious changes despite the relocation.

In fact, due to the recent poor international business climate, the cost of importing foreign products had risen slightly, causing a noticeable increase in the overall costs for the Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo.

Meanwhile, Qingye Group’s orders for glass bottles had only increased.

However, the glass bottle business also instilled a sense of crisis in companies like Coca-Cola and Pepsi. In recent months, no fewer than twenty cases of espionage had occurred in Tuwah Port.

It’s just that all these corporate spies ended up taking a permanent residence at the bottom of the sea.

Playing spy games in front of Homo Sapiens Company was like trying to teach a fish to swim.

Within a 50-kilometer radius of Tuwah Port, the area was not only blanketed with swarms of surveillance insects but also dotted with numerous semi-permanent fixed monitoring points. The core areas, such as factories and company buildings, were virtually impenetrable.

Furthermore, Qingye Group did not use external electronic devices internally. All confidential files were stored in biological computers and DNA storage units.

Only non-essential information and business contacts were handled over the public network. Anyone trying to steal Qingye Group’s secrets online would only be stealing thin air.

As for bribing internal employees to steal company secrets?

That was also wishful thinking. When the factories and production lines were being designed, the headquarters had already considered the possibility of ordinary employees being bribed.

Many key process stages and crucial raw materials were either fully automated or handled in semi-sealed workshops. Furthermore, some of the key positions were staffed by Soldiers.

There was basically no possibility of stealing secrets through conventional means.

Unless the other side sent a special forces team to directly assault Tuwah Port, they could forget about it.

And even if they did send special forces, they would most likely be completely wiped out.

After all, when it came to special operations, Homo Sapiens Company’s capabilities were a level above even the major world powers. A 30-man Blood Blade Special Team was stationed in Tuwah Port.

In addition, the Blood Blade Special Team’s second special training base was located on a small island near Tuwah Port.

Add to that the two regiments stationed there by the local warlord.

As long as they weren’t facing a full-scale invasion, they could rest easy.

Even in the event of a full-scale invasion, Qingye Group had a backup plan. By activating the self-destruct mechanism, all core equipment inside the factories and offices—such as transgenic culture media, hormones, and biological computers—could be completely destroyed within 10 minutes.

Qingye Group had moved its headquarters to the inland Dongzhi Basin precisely as a precaution.

Although the coast offered convenient transportation, its downside was vulnerability to enemy surprise attacks.

As news of Qingye Group’s headquarters relocation spread through Tuwah Port, the security level there was paradoxically raised even higher.

The Hongsawaddy Branch even dispatched a Spider Web Manager to personally oversee the area.

The reason for this increased focus was that the factories and equipment had not been moved. In fact, to support greater investment in internal infrastructure, the cement plant was even expanding its facilities.

Another, secret reason was that the main company had transferred a new technology to the Hongsawaddy Branch.

This new technology was extremely sensitive. If it were ever leaked, the major world powers would likely join forces to crush Qingye Group and Hongsawaddy.

This technology was not deployed in Tuwah Port, but on one of the Danlao Islands, 370 kilometers to the south.

At this moment, the Spider Web Manager, Kevin, was leading a Blood Blade Special Team on a secret mission to Lanbi Island.

The residents of Lanbi Island had long since been collectively relocated near Danlao Port under pressure and inducements from Qingye Group, becoming employees of the cement plant.

Now, apart from Qingye Group’s own people, there was no one else on the island.
