“It’s been nearly two years and Mother has shown no sign of movement. Does she not want Xun’er anymore?”

Xiao Xun’er’s head drooped as he asked in dismay.

Now that it has been mentioned, this little fellow’s situation was rather pitiful. Gu Ruoyun had entered a long period of closed-door cultivation almost immediately after his birth. After Gu Ruoyun had emerged from her closed-door cultivation with much difficulty, he had ended up being thrown into the Red Lotus Territory as she ran off to look for his father.

Her search had taken quite a while and he would sit at the gate like a puppy anticipating its master’s return, waiting anxiously and keeping a diligent watch on the road.

At that time, he believed that his mother would come home as long as he continued to wait!

It was a good thing that expectation was fulfilled. He had waited for what felt like an eternity before he finally received some news…

Mother has found his father and was going to hold a grand wedding ceremony to marry him!

Hence, he had followed his maternal grandfather and grandmother excitedly and traveled towards the Cloudy Wind Empire! However, his mother then unexpectedly went into closed-door cultivation again right after his parents were married! This closed-door cultivation had gone on for two years! During the past two years, he would come every day to wait outside that door without fail, wishing he could see his mother soon…

Come to think of it, if one were to calculate accordingly, Xiao Xun’er had only been able to interact with his mother for a few months since he was born!

Now, he was already four years old!

“She should be out very soon.”

Qianbei Ye’s heart ached for the little fellow and pulled him into his arms.

Boom!

Just as Xiao Xun’er was waiting anxiously for the door to open, a powerful energy burst through the roof and shot through the clouds.

After that, the room’s door which had been shut for two years finally opened.

A woman dressed in green robes stepped out of the room. As she had not seen sunlight for two years, her complexion was a little pale. The first thing she saw when she stepped out of the room was her husband and son…

“Mother.”

Xiao Xun’er struggled out of Qianbei Ye’s embrace and quickly flew towards Gu Ruoyun. His soft and supple body crashed into Gu Ruoyun’s arms while his adorable little face was aggrieved. He murmured with tears in his eyes, “Mother, Xun’er has really missed you…”

Gu Ruoyun stroked Xiao Xun’er’s head and smiled. “I’ve come out so don’t worry, I won’t ever leave you again.”

“Really?” Xiao Xun’er blinked. He then tiptoed and kissed Gu Ruoyun on the face. “Mother, Xun’er loves you the most. Can you sleep with Xun’er tonight?”

Of course, this little fellow failed to notice that Qianbei Ye’s expression has turned dark.

He raised his hand to pluck Xiao Xun’er, who was stuck to his mother like an octopus, off Gu Ruoyun. Qianbei Ye’s expression was as black as the bottom of a cauldron. “This is my wife. If you want someone to sleep with you, go find your own wife.”

“But…” Xiao Xun’er looked rather pitiful. “Xun’er doesn’t have a wife.”

“I don’t care.” Qianbei Ye lifted the little fellow up high and scoffed, “If you don’t have one, go find one. Stop sticking to my wife!”

Xiao Xun’er rolled his eyes. “Then let Mother be Xun’er’s wife. That way, Xun’er can sleep with Mother.”

Qianbei Ye narrowed his eyes. “Looks like I should send someone to throw you into the Nemesis Forest to train for a year!”

When Xiao Xun’er heard this, his little face changed instantly.

“Father, Xun’er was only kidding. It’s not like you can’t tell. Don’t send Xun’er to the Nemesis Forest. If that happens, Xun’er won’t be able to see Mother for another year.”
