Bombarding Cultivators with Cluster Artillery

The numerous debates and opposition did not affect the Xianmen Sect’s plan to cultivate the Dari Swordsman.

There was no compulsion, citizens were free, and no one could force the Xianmen Sect’s citizens to do anything. Many policies were introduced in society, resulting in various swordsmanship competitions, additional points for swordsmanship skills, swordsmanship tournaments, a large amount of specialized support scholarships for Sword Dao, extremely favorable prices for sword embryo refinement...

And so on, endlessly.

It can be said that if a citizen of the Xianmen Sect wanted to follow the Sword Dao in this era, in terms of resources alone, they were at least ten times ahead of any other path.

But it was life-consuming.

After eighteen, any Xianmen Sect citizen cultivating the Supreme Great Sun Sword Dao had to sign a safety disclosure higher than that of their peers, undergo preliminary safety training, Dao Heart training, high moral character cultivator selections, and so on. But even so, too many Xianmen cultivators died on this path.

You must know, these were all Xianmen talents!

That day, a faint sobbing sound came from the Xianmen governance office. Many staff looked there, then silently turned their heads away.

’The son of governance, an elite with a Sun Dao Body, Liu Xianyu, has died.’

’He died in a state of Fire and Demonic, his highest realm being the Divinity Transformation Stage... Even an elite with a Sun Dao Body ended up like this, alas... Such talent was expected to achieve Supreme status, perhaps even Imperial Realm, obtaining a million-year life energy. The Sun Dao Body was indeed well-suited for the current Endless Starry Sky...’

Many sadly thought.

In these three million years, how many more governance children have died?

Countless children of Supremes, children of Quasi-Emperors, and many young people inspired by tales of the Ancient Emperor embarked on the Great Sun Sword Dao, only to die, their brilliance like meteors, fleeting, making one question whether this path was truly a path or just suicide disguised as cultivation.

Nearly a whole generation of the finest individuals from the Xianmen Sect were shattered on the Great Sun Sword Dao, resulting in only a dozen or so Supremes of the Great Sun Sword Dao emerging, the cost-effectiveness being outrageously low.

Do these policies, this cultivation strategy, have sustainability?

...

”The Xianmen Sect... is indeed not a Jiandao School.”

”This outcome was long predestined, yet nobody would listen to an old man’s verbose foresight, although I am not an old man. When they all age, I will still be alive.”

Jiang Ding quietly remarked, observing the scene.

Xianmen citizens are stubborn and wouldn’t heed him; they have their own thoughts.

In fact, although the Xianmen Sect is not a Jiandao School, unable to produce a large number of Sword Dao geniuses, there is a subtle probability that one or two exceptional Sword Dao geniuses may be refreshed!

The environment of the Xianmen Sect is one of freedom, relaxation, scientific research, and it has the most advanced Sword Dao heritage.

This environment is most suitable for laissez-faire governance. The emergence of an Ancient Emperor in the Xianmen Sect in the past was due to certain inevitability, occasionally spawning a talent in a specific area. Deliberately cultivating them instead becomes counterproductive, reducing the probability of producing exceptional Sword Dao geniuses.

Take the Immortal Tao Industry, for instance, where ancient Emperor-level Sword Dao geniuses were naturally produced by the Xianmen Sect’s political system, much like an industrial chain product, akin to rare metals, a subtle branch of the massive Immortal Tao Industry chain, like a duck’s tongue or a pig’s intestines.

In natural production activities and industrial system operations, such things naturally appear at low cost.

But if one deliberately pursues such things, abandoning large-scale production to specifically create rare metals, keeping just the tongue of a duck or the intestines of a pig while discarding the rest, then the cost of producing these rare items will become unimaginably high and completely unsustainable.

Under the governance and the craze of many Quasi-Emperors, the current Xianmen education policy is making such a mistake.

The many deceased Xianmen talents were originally meant to become the cornerstone of all walks of life, contributing to society and laying the foundation for the growth of future exceptional Sword Dao geniuses, rather than charging into a nine-in-ten-deaths path.

This is not the correct path.

Unfortunately, only when young life has made a mistake will it acknowledge the error. Your prior advice is useless, as youths always have various grand and just reasons to rebut.

...

The third era, five million years.

Fu stepped down.

He resigned amidst widespread opposition because his flawed policy nearly caused an entire talent gap in the Xianmen Sect, and the anticipated exceptional Sword Dao genius did not emerge.

What defines an exceptional Sword Dao genius?

Each sect, each force, and each stage has different standards.

In today’s Xianmen Sect, the standard for an exceptional genius is just one: the posture of an Ancient Sword Dao Emperor. There is no need to be a Forbidden Area Ancient Emperor, even one with the posture of a Ten Thousand Laws Ancient Emperor would suffice. Moreover, concrete achievement is not necessary, merely matching the youthful era of the Ten Thousand Laws Ancient Emperor would do.

Alas, this is a delusion.

This is a belief in quick victory, which inevitably turned into a quick defeat philosophy within a mere five million years. Numerous education experts from the Xianmen Sect published detailed research papers, demonstrating that the Xianmen Sect is not suitable for large-scale cultivation of Sword Cultivators or considering Sword Cultivation as their main profession.

Some extreme papers even argued that the Xianmen Sect’s path and the path of Sword Cultivation are seriously conflicting, mutually exclusive, and anomalies are anomalies because they are mere flashes, completely lacking sustainability.

Such extreme papers were not few and gained much recognition.

Fu’s policy was not his alone but a collective consensus and decision of the Xianmen Sect leaders at that time, but someone had to bear the responsibility for failure, hence his resignation.

At the same time, the Xianmen Sect is not entirely closed.

News of the imminent birth of the Dari Swordsman spread, gradually circulating among many holy lands, sects, and families in the Endless Starry Sky, stirring up various undercurrents in the Immortal Dynasty. Numerous Sword Cultivators yearned and aspired, with life and death being unimportant matters, as such thrill-seekers were abundant beneath the starry sky.

...

Jiang Dingping watched everything happening in the starry sky indifferently.

In the third era, he was not too busy, even somewhat free, always deducing the Sword Immortal Technique and the legendary Ninth Sword Realm, the Immortal Sword Realm, occasionally having slight insights, bringing him great joy.

In the Dao, no progress was possible, as conditions were lacking in the current Endless Starry Sky.

However, in the skill, there was still much potential. Swordsmanship is similar to mathematics; it doesn’t require much funding or expensive equipment. With paper, a pen, and a wooden sword, one can conduct research, adding color to his dull life in the third era, decorating his humdrum existence.

This is a sorting of the Supreme Great Sun Sword Dao, laying a foundation for the future.

Perhaps in the future, when slaying a formidable enemy and further breaking through in swordsmanship, the Supreme Great Sun Ancient Emperor will recall the persistent research and contemplation of swordsmanship day in and day out today.

In such a monotonous life, the third era has unknowingly reached the first million years.

There is still another million years until the slumber of the Ancient Emperor.

Simultaneously, this day also marks the full dissemination of the Great Sun Sword Dao and Dari Swordsman’s path across the Endless Starry Sky. In the willpower and blood of countless Sword Cultivators, the Dari Swordsman will be born.
