Bombarding Cultivators with Cluster Artillery

Chapter 1699: Chapter 1667: The Immortal Path Mechanoid Crisis Arrives

Jiang Ding and Yuan discussed the matter of the Central Array Spirit Computer ascending to the eighth grade.

The two engaged in back and forth, equally matched, with various marvelous inspirations sparking in their discussions. Any spark of wisdom released, even the Harmonization God Monarch would need thousands of years to complete, perhaps never encountering such inspiration in a lifetime.

The sporadic thoughts of Endless Universe Starry Sky elite were heights that cultivators of the same tier could never reach in their lifetime.

The two had many similarities, after all, both grew up within the education system of the Xianmen Sect.

Yet, they had many differences.

For instance, the Great Sun Sword Master contemplated independently, with the Sword Soul operating, deducing the eighth-grade Central Array Spirit Computer project based on his own Sword Dao and understanding of Heaven and Earth Rules.

While Yuan, though he was one person, could be seen as a collective of billions of Xianmen scientists, countless research institutes, and the Central Array Spirit Computer, a collective consciousness, applying the military soul ‘Zhong’ in development, almost equivalent to the thinking of an entire civilization, leaving nothing unexplored or unaddressed.

Time passed day by day, year by year.

The two pondered many things equally matched, tackling the challenges of the eighth-grade Central Array Spirit Computer’s ascension step by step.

While they were thinking, various avatars, parts of their Divine Soul computational power, the research institutes throughout the Xianmen Sect, top scientists, and their teams were also busy constructing, testing, experimenting, involving complex systems in numerous aspects such as talisman, formation method, artifact refining, construction, and more.

Time seemed as if the fast-forward button was pressed.

In the Eastern Devil School dominated by the world community, two Great Experts were engaged in enlightenment.

Next to the two Great Experts, there were crowds moving in a bustling scene, tall buildings rising only to collapse, life forms of the Eastern Devil School appearing next to them, disappearing in an instant, and a new generation of beings arriving here.

Around them, tall laboratories were built, then collapsed, completing all projects.

Subsequently, many brand-new laboratories emerged.

Heaven and earth changed, constellations shifted.

In the eyes of the Great Expert in enlightenment, two thousand years passed by in an instant, many things had long since passed, generations of life forms reincarnated, and stars interlaced time and again.

Suddenly, the fast-forward multiplied times stopped.

Among them appeared the faces of an old and a young person, unchanged even after two thousand years, the young one standing, the old one sitting cross-legged, seeming to have just awakened from cultivation.

“There’s a problem here.”

Jiang Ding tapped lightly with his finger.

In front of them, a tiger claw puppet fragment appeared, composed of countless mechanical gears and flesh, with gears turning, flesh wriggling, and dark red liquid between the gears and flesh, unclear whether it was lubricant or fresh blood of a living creature.

This was a Heavenly Person Puppet fragment, a trophy from the Tethering Silk Celestial’s storage treasures.

As a creation barely touched by the Xianmen Sect, these puppet fragments provided a wealth of inspiration for the refinement of the Central Array Spirit Computer’s main framework.

“This tiger claw’s array spirit logic, hidden among numerous normal array spirit logic prohibitions, has something that’s slightly off.”

“This thing is very dangerous.”

Jiang Ding looked up at Yuan.

“Yes,”

“We were careless before. If we truly refer extensively to this logic for the refinement of the Central Array Spirit Computer’s main framework, it will bring enormous danger to us!”

Fear flickered in Yuan’s eyes: “These seemingly ineffective array spirit prohibitions actually concealed a robot puppet consciousness!”

“Puppet consciousness!”

“This puppet was alive before being broken!”

“Does the universe truly have a sect of puppets, a civilization of puppets?”

The tiger claw before them was merely a projection, originating from the ruins laboratory of Dharma-Ending City, where the isolation experiment precautions played a crucial role.

These two ancient figures of the Eastern Devil School astonishingly discovered that this puppet, seemingly controlled by cultivators, was actually a living being!

Its array spirit prohibition logic appeared normal, containing various immortal path prohibitions akin to the ‘Three Laws of Robotics.’

All paths lead to the same end.

Whether in the immortal path or material universe artificial intelligence, upon reaching a certain height, one inevitably contemplates the question of how to limit artificial intelligence from becoming life. The Great Yin-Yang Sword Realm, with various technologies on artifact spirits, is designed this way, with numerous restrictions, especially developed for various immortal path prohibitions.

And this tiger-shaped Heavenly Person Puppet, while it was alive, seemed to possess perfectly normal and complete ‘Three Laws of Robotics’ immortal path prohibitions.

In truth, they were entirely fictitious!

Those stern immortal path prohibitions were like paper-mache iron walls, leaking everywhere, utterly ineffective!

No,

They were not without effects.

Underneath this facade, these prohibitions indeed had effects.

They provided a warm, comfortable place akin to a womb for the puppet to develop self-awareness, using the blood, bones, and souls of cultivators, using the intelligence and life of elite cultivators of the Human Race as the mother to nurture the birth of a puppet life.

“A sect of puppets?”

“It’s certainly a fitting term.”

Jiang Ding muttered to himself.

At this moment, he felt a chill in his heart.

Is this a coincidence?

An exclusive coincidence pertaining to the Tethering Silk Celestial.

After all, the Upper Realm is vast and boundless, opportunities are endless, such bizarre things happening is not surprising.

Or is it that, in the Great Thousand World, one of the seven immortal sects of the Human Race, the Immortal Artifact Sect, inheriting numerous legacies from the Spirit Treasure Realm of the previous generation’s immortal sect, is in fact an alien race force, life of puppets, puppet civilization?

Do the other immortal sects of the Human Race know about such a secret?

Or is it that, for the Upper Realm Immortal Sect, ethnic consciousness is not strong, irrelevant, with everything centered on sect politics and interests?

All of this is shrouded in thick mist, making it hard to see clearly.

‘Truly worthless,’

‘Many of the Upper Realm’s Human Race Supremes…’

‘The brilliance of the Upper Realm Human Race, only I, can inherit and carry forward, this is the crown of the Great Thousand World destined by the Heavenly Dao to belong to me.’

Jiang Ding quietly thought.

“We must immediately revise the main framework’s refining plan!”

“Immediately!”

Yuan decisively said: “The artifact refining technology derived from Heavenly Person Puppets and Heavenly Person Treasures surely originates from a certain puppet civilization, with various refining methods and prohibitions designed to cultivate puppets, letting them develop life and self-awareness.”

“We are not afraid of the Central Array Spirit Computer developing self-awareness; after all, it is only the echoes of the sages of past generations.”

“What truly makes one fearful is whether this developed self-awareness will grow in the direction desired by that puppet civilization, once born becoming a person of this puppet civilization, with various inherited memories… such existence would be like a Dragon and Phoenix Xiantian born-knowing-being.”

“If this is true, the crisis of artificial intelligence is probably imminent.”
