Bombarding Cultivators with Cluster Artillery

Several years later, the handling of all criminal cultivators was complete.

Those sentenced to death met their end, those imprisoned served their time, and fines were levied; Tushan Central Court had once again returned to its former high efficiency, whether it was the Agricultural Sect, Implements Sect, or the Array Sect, among others.

For many mortals and Qi Training Foundation-Building Cultivators, the direct feeling was that each Sect, Immortal City, and clan became much cleaner and more upright in an instant.

Each Sect, clan, and Immortal City, though seemingly independent organizations with different names, are actually subordinate institutions of Tushan Central Court. Their inner disciples can move freely within, and elders, Family Heads, and Sect Masters can be arbitrarily transferred, including the oversight of taxation, teaching, etc.

High-Level Law Cultivators breathed a sigh of relief as well, as if awakening from a nightmare.

Only Sword Cultivators were sullen.

They reluctantly returned to their Sects, spending their days refining flying swords, cultivating, waiting for public security incidents that would incur the death penalty to occur.

”It’s somewhat unfair to them...”

Jiang Ding, while observing the mountains and rivers through the Great Sun World Defining Array, sighed and said, ”If there were a controllable opponent, Sword Cultivators might thrive a lot more.”

Currently, the number of Nascent Soul Sword Cultivators in Tushan Central Court was one hundred and fifty-one, even less than three hundred years ago.

Though the conditions for education, materials for flying swords, and disciples’ aptitudes are all much better than three hundred years ago, the number of Nascent Soul Sword Cultivators has been continually declining, which is quite baffling.

On the contrary, the number of Magic Cultivators has increased; now there are more than five hundred Nascent Soul Immortals!

This is why people like Heavenly Calculator Daoist and Ji Liuyue prefer peace over conflict. In times of peace, Law Cultivators can grow steadily, advance, and refine elixirs and treasures.

Sword Cultivators, on the other hand, are closely related to war.

Only with war as their soil can Sword Cultivators grow strong.

”However, this might be a good thing?”

Jiang Ding thought about it and added, ”These traditional Great Sun Sword Cultivators do nothing but practice the sword, refine the sword, and cultivate; they are purely consumers, not producers. If there are too many of them, the system will implode from within; they can’t all be supported.”

”Damn it!”

”How can this be?”

”Even on regular days, I’m doing sect work, maintaining life through scientific research and labor; how can these guys do absolutely nothing?!”

This being said, it’s actually a bit shameless.

Great Sun Sword Sect Cultivators now also undertake all security within Tushan Central Court, capturing thieves, eliminating chaotic Demon Beasts, strangling harmful sea creatures, and exterminating Demon Beasts that lack intelligence and are not recognized as part of Tushan Central Court... In short, they take on all sorts of fighting tasks.

Jiang Ding wasn’t conscious of these because, for Sword Cultivators, fighting is as common as air, sunlight, and moisture—it’s not considered working.

”We need to find them some work.”

”Sword Cultivators need to be knowledgeable not just in combat but also participate in Sword Dao research.”

Jiang Ding pondered seriously: ”I’ve thought about the extreme combat and bloodshed philosophy of the Great Sun Sword Pavilion and don’t fully agree with it; it needs a partial change. The rate of maturation from mere barbaric combat is too low.”

”We can’t listen to Hei Louxi in everything.”

”The Great Sun Sword Pavilion’s ability to train disciples is just so-so; it’s not an authority, we should learn from others to improve our shortcomings.”

”Most importantly, the wisdom of the cultivators in this era should not go to waste; they must get involved in the research projects of the Sword Dojo laboratories, involved in the development of the Great Sun Transformative Mystique!”

”That’s right, some laws of Xianmen Sect may not allow outsourcing of scientific research... however, there are loopholes to exploit, I can contract out certain low value-added projects, this is permitted. In the realm of research, many things are not secrets, and Outer Realm Cultivators, after meeting certain conditions, can also be given access...”

”It’s possible to promote one or two pieces of legislation to complete this...”

Jiang Ding’s eyes sparkled as he calculated continuously in his mind.

At present, the research and development cycle for the Great Sun Transformative Mystique had been reduced to about thirteen thousand years, but with several Void Refinement Techniques from Xianmen Sect, and a lot of Void Refinement knowledge, it should accelerate once again.

Furthermore, once Xianmen Sect has Refining Nothingness Cultivators, their research capacity will skyrocket, and time will be expedited once more.

In addition, Xuanwu tiangong Great Expert had once given half of the Great Sun Transformative Mystique to Xianmen Sect, which most likely contains deadly traps. Over the years, the Central Array Spirit Computer and Elder Yuan Deng have been verifying and screening for traps.

Jiang Ding’s own intuition told him that after ascending to the Nascent Soul Peak, he too could instinctively and inspiringly contribute to developing a super-simplified version of the Spirit Transformation Mystique, which could also serve to authenticate the original.

With all these factors combined, it should be feasible to develop a Great Sun Transformative Mystique suitable for him within one to two thousand years.

For Jiang Ding, this was still not enough.

Therefore, propelling scientific outsourcing and allocating many complicated but low-added-value research projects to cultivators in the Minor Thousand Worlds could be a very promising path.

Correspondingly, some basic Immortal Path scientific research training would also be required for the cultivators in the Minor Thousand Worlds.

This is quite simple.

Many high-level cultivators are already engaged in similar activities, constantly creating their own magic and cultivation methods, not everyone has a complete lineage.

With their immense Divine Soul computational power and extreme intellect, these high-level cultivators naturally wouldn’t ignore such a direction to explore.

Their problem lies in inefficiency; without a systematic approach to Immortal Dao scientific research, they rely solely on a few elite individuals to drive the progress of Immortal Dao civilization.

”It is feasible.”

”As long as one or two legal issues with the Xianmen Sect are resolved, it can be done.”

Jiang Ding calculated in his Divine Soul and arrived at this answer.

While pondering, he entered into cultivation, inhaling and refining the Heavenly Earth Spiritual Qi, which after being processed turned into fine droplets of mana, slowly filling his Elixir Field, enhancing his foundation bit by bit.

Time passed unknowingly.

”Your Majesty.”

”Great Love Immortal requests an audience.”

With a tall and stunning stature, and enchantingly graceful movements, Hei Louxi slowly entered the palace and reported in a soft voice.

This year, Hei Louxi and the other twelve maids were on standby outside the Dark Demon Palace, guarding the Tushan Heavenly Monarch, and implementing a rotation policy. Basically, every Tushan Maid at the Nascent Soul Stage had this privilege.

”Oh?”

Jiang Ding opened his eyes after reflecting for an unknown period on the Six Dao Throne, somewhat surprised.

Immortals of the Nascent Soul,

It’s not as if someone could see him just because they wished to.

With over six hundred Immortals of the Nascent Soul in Tushan Central Court, if every one of them needed to see him for urgent matters every two years, he would have to meet guests all day long without rest just to see them all.

If that were the case, there would be no time for cultivation.

Apart from a few, it’s generally impossible for standard Immortals of the Nascent Soul to have an audience with him; even requests wouldn’t make it to him.

Great Love Immortal, was not among these few.

He had no close relations with Jiang Ding, and although he was powerful, Jiang Ding did not trust him.

But now, Great Love Immortal had received a summons through a Tushan Maid; dismissing possibilities like bribery, he must have passed the review and indeed had something very important to discuss.

”Invite Great Love Daoist Friend to come and talk.”

Jiang Ding said softly.

At this time, it shouldn’t be possible for a Tushan Maid to act against the regulations.

”Yes.”

Hei Louxi retreated.

Before long, accompanied by footsteps, a benevolent and amiable-looking young man entered the palace. He looked up at the green-clothed youth on the Six Dao Throne and bowed.

”Heavenly Monarch,”

”Last night, I divined and obtained some intelligence concerning the Upper Realm Cultivators.”

”Therefore, I would like to exchange this information for one top-grade Divine Transformation Pill with you.”

Great Love Immortal said respectfully.

He was very direct, omitting any kind of pleasantries and straightforwardly stating his purpose. It seemed as though he had made a special adjustment, fitting very well with the nature of a Sword Cultivator, leaving people feeling quite natural.
