Bombarding Cultivators with Cluster Artillery

Eight years of learning,

and overnight, he began to study one of the nine classics of the Xianmen Sect, the ”All-transforming Magnetic Origin Sutra”!

”I’m a bit like a magnetic field being...”

Jiang Ding closed his eyes, and within the kilometer radius of the air around him, it was as if lines from a book about magnetic field assists had appeared, pointing towards various magnetic centers. Each magnetic center exerted a subtle repelling and attracting force in relation to the biomagnetic field of his own body.

The southern and northern poles of the planet were the two largest sources of magnetic fields, possessing terrifying powers capable of destroying heaven and earth.

However, due to the nature of biological entities, these repelling and attracting forces were very slight. Sensing them was already an achievement, asking for more was impossible.

”My magnetic field can change...”

Jiang Ding had an epiphany.

An instinct arose within him, mana surged through his meridians, and the magnetic field of mana within his body underwent rapid and complex changes. Its strength increased thousands of times over that of ordinary living beings and aligned with that of the South Pole.

Whoosh!

A repelling force emerged, propelling him dozens of meters toward the direction away from the South Pole and closer to the North Pole. His trajectory zig-zagged before he ended up diving headfirst into the dirt.

”Ptooey, ptooey!”

Jiang Ding awkwardly got up, spitting out the mouthfuls of dirt and grass roots. Thanks to the protective mana shield, he wasn’t injured.

”Control isn’t quite there.”

After some thought, his mana coursed again, altering his body’s magnetic field to match the level of the North Pole.

Whoosh!

In an instant, he felt a tremendous opposing force from the North Pole and a great attraction from the South Pole. Like a magnet, he flew backwards at high speed, crashing onto a rock. Sparks flew as the shield and the rock collided.

”I understand now.”

Jiang Ding gained some understanding.

”The flight detailed in the ’All-transforming Magnetic Origin Sutra’ functions by altering one’s own magnetic field to utilize the planet’s magnetic field for flight. The world is round and the polarities of the poles differ, but the principle remains the same.”

With direction in mind, he controlled the output of mana, subtly changing his own magnetic field, at times aligning with the polar fields, at times repelling, at times attracting. Sometimes he flew to the left, other times he plummeted downwards, and yet other times he shot straight up into the sky, thoroughly enjoying himself.

Three to four hours later,

a current-like Escape Light soared through the sky, weaving through the forests more agilely than birds, even without using a Magic Tool, faster than ordinary cultivators at the peak of Qi Practicing controlling sword flight.

”This is merely the use of an instinct. The true first-order flying magic, the Magnetic Levitation Flight Technique mentioned in the ’All-transforming Magnetic Origin Sutra’, would multiply my speed after mastering it.”

Jiang Dingfei had a thrilling flight and then stopped the Escape Light.

”To the ’All-transforming Magnetic Origin Sutra’, flying is only a basic skill.”

Jiang Ding closed his eyes to sense his surroundings. Within the kilometer radius, the lines of magnetic field assist from the book reemerged. Should any bird, beast, or even an insect enter this range, it would trigger the magnetic field lines, causing slight ripples.

”The ’Electromagnetic Induction Wave Motion Technique’, an essential scouting magic for Xianmen cultivators, is derived from the ’All-transforming Magnetic Origin Sutra’. I have a premonition that I will have no difficulty in practicing this technique and the effect will be much better than for others.”

”And there’s also the control over metals.”

Jiang Ding’s Divine Sense and Sword Intent swept across the nearby mountains and forests.

Within the range of a kilometer, the ground instantly revealed countless wriggling and protruding shapes as small chunks covered in soil burst forth, shooting towards him and stopping with precision right in front of him, as if inertia didn’t exist.

These numerous chunks came together to form a large sphere.

It contained a bit of everything: bullet heads, iron ore particles, a type of insect carapace, pieces of rusted rebar, a broken barrel of a submachine gun, and fragments of a Magic Tool shield the size of a thumb... The history of this forest unfolded in this sphere.

”Here, countless battles between the Xianmen Sect and Outer Realm Cultivators have taken place throughout history…” Jiang Ding sighed and withdrew his mana.

Clang clang clang!

The metal sphere broke apart and fell noisily to the ground.

”Magnetic field flight, electromagnetic induction, metal manipulation, these are the hallmarks of the ’All-transforming Magnetic Origin Sutra.’ And then there’s the last one.” Jiang Ding’s Divine Sense surged into the intertwined magnetic patterns on his forehead.

Within the small pattern on his forehead, a cylindrical space contained innumerable intersecting magnetic fields assisting virtual lines, with the direction of the magnetic field perpendicular to the conducting Taiqing Flying Sword within it.

This was the state where the force of Ampere’s circuital law was maximized.

Ampere’s force, the force of a magnetic field on an electric current, is named in honor of the physicist Ampere’s remarkable contributions to the study of the effects of magnetic fields on electric currents.

It can be simply understood as the force exerted on a conductive wire in a magnetic field.

The most common application of Ampere’s force,

is the electromagnetic cannon!

If the current of the conducting Taiqing Flying Sword is I, and its length is L, in the uniform magnetic field B of the forehead’s electromagnetic patterns, the magnitude of the force exerted on the Taiqing Flying Sword is: F=ILBsinα.

Here, α is the angle between I and B, the direction of the current and the direction of the magnetic field, and when the direction of the wire is perpendicular to the magnetic field direction, the force of Ampere’s law exerted on the current is maximized.

”This is what the combination of the Taiqing Flying Sword and the ’All-transforming Magnetic Origin Sutra’ produces, completely different from the Dari mark in the forehead of the previous Dari Swordsman. Its ability…” Jiang Ding meticulously scanned every part of the magnetic pattern on his forehead with his Divine Sense Scanning.

”That is,”

”Using the force generated by the magnetic field and the conducting wire, known as Ampere’s force, to accelerate the Taiqing Flying Sword to a higher speed!”

”Speed is power!”

Whoosh!

In a mere thought,

The Taiqing Flying Sword flew out from the magnetic pattern on the forehead, its speed increasing instantly by eighty percent, surpassing the Sword Control speeds of many Foundation-building cultivators, and in a massive sonic boom, it instantly sliced through a Big Tree nine hundred meters away, as thick as a man’s waist, then instantly returned.

”This is the normal state. If energy is stored for three minutes, it can erupt at three times the speed, and should be able to instantly defeat an Early Stage of Foundation Building cultivator with a single move.”

”This is still not the limit.”

Jiang Ding stored the Taiqing Flying Sword back into the magnetic pattern, his eyes shining brightly.

”Fourth-Order superior materials, the damaged Fusion Magnetic Crystal Core blood Magic Tool of a true Xuanwu Heavenly Palace disciple was delivered a while ago, it just hasn’t been processed yet. I could trade some materials to ask a Fourth-Order Refiner of the Sect to refine and recover it.”

”Fourth-Order Spiritual Gold and Melted Magnetic Crystal Stone could enhance the affinity of electromagnetic shells. The Melted Magnetic Crystal Core, which rarely occurs in Fourth-order Fusionmagnetite Stone veins, would only be more powerful and could even add a touch of electromagnetic spirit to electromagnetic shells, greatly enhancing electromagnetic affinity!”

”After smelting and recovery, I should be able to obtain a droplet of Melted Magnetic Crystal Core.”

Jiang Ding imagined the future, with various thoughts fluttering through his mind.

”If I could integrate it into the Taiqing Flying Sword, its power is yet to be further enhanced.”

”This is an electromagnetic shell.”

”And then there’s the gun barrel accelerator; the Air-Space Warplane needs to be equipped with missiles or an electromagnetic cannon, I could consider refining the gun barrel accelerator into a special Magic Tool, to be merged into my forehead.”

”See someone disagreeable, glare at them, and fire a shot...”
