Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World

Chapter 2247: Meeting the Chief

The group walked for one hour. Along the way, the Red Goblins surrounded Zhao Hai. Nobody spoke, everyone was keeping their eyes on Zhao Hai.

Although the places Zhao Hai passed were part of the underground city, Zhao Hai wasn’t able to see other Red Goblins besides the ones following him.

Zhao Hai knew that the Red Goblins had hidden themselves. This should be the order of the Goblin Chief. Zhao Hai didn’t care, he understood the Goblin Chief’s decision.

Before long, they arrived at a cave. This cave wasn’t any different from the other caves. However, every Red Goblin present were respectful as they looked at the entrance of the cave.

The Red Goblin at the lead stopped, then he turned to Zhao Hai and said, “Mister, please wait a moment.” Then he turned to the cave and said, “Chief, I’ve brought the Human Cultivator.”

An old voice replied, “Ask him to enter, then you can leave. He is very strong. Even if you attack together, you will not hurt him. It seems like this person has no hostility towards us.”

The Red Goblins were stunned when they heard this. Then the lead Red Goblin looked at Zhao Hai and said, “Mister, you can take the blindfold off.” Zhao Hai nodded, then he took the beast skin off and handed it to the Red Goblin and then gave a smile.

The Red Goblin didn’t expect Zhao Hai to be so polite. He replied, “Mister, please enter. The Chief is waiting for you.” Zhao Hai smiled towards the Red Goblins before entering the cave.

The cave wasn’t very big, only around a hundred square meters. There’s a fire in the middle of the cave with an old red goblin sitting behind it. One could see that the old goblin’s hair was originally red but had gradually turned white. There were wrinkles on his face and his eyes looked fuzzy. However, Zhao Hai could see a sea of wisdom behind the old goblin’s eyes. It was clear that this old goblin has seen a lot of things throughout its long life.

Zhao Hai cupped his fist towards the old goblin and said, “True Spirit Realm’s Tyrant Blade Sect Disciple Zhao Hai has seen the Old Chief.”

The old goblin nodded and said, “My body isn’t capable of standing up. I hope Mister can forgive me for being impolite. Please have a seat.” Zhao Hai nodded and then sat down.

The old goblin looked at Zhao Hai and said, “Mister said that you are from the True Spirit Realm. May I ask where the True Spirit Realm is?”

Zhao Hai smiled faintly and the old goblin and then replied, “The Old Chief might already know a lot about us humans, but there are much more things that you need to know about. The place where you reside is called the underground world. And above the Underground world, many kilometers up, is another world called the True Spirit Realm. That is where I came from.”

When the old goblin heard this, he couldn’t help but stare, then he looked at Zhao Hai and said, “You said you came from many kilometers above? Do you live in the sky?”

Zhao Hai shook his head and said, “We live on the ground. What the Underground World has is a fake sky. It is actually an extremely large cave. Only the True Spirit Realm has a real sky.”

The Old Goblin nodded and then asked, “What relationship does mister have with the Underground World’s humans? The Old Goblin has lived many years. Therefore, he could adjust his mentality very quickly and could accept Zhao Hai’s words.

Zhao Hai looked at the Old Chief and said, “We are enemies. Ghost Cultivators are originally cultivators of the True Spirit Realm. But because their cultivation methods are sinister and ruthless, often using living people’s souls, all groups in the True Spirit Realm worked together to attack them. In the end, they couldn’t defend themselves and ran to the Underground World. But once in a while, they would go to the surface and cause trouble. Therefore, all Sects in the True Spirit Realm have a grudge against Ghost Cultivators.”

The Old Goblin looked at Zhao Hai and said, “What is Mister here for?”

Zhao Hai looked at the Red Goblin Chief and said, “I’m here to help you and also take revenge. My Tyrant Blade Sect was targeted by the Ghost Cultivators, and we lost a lot of disciples. Therefore, I came here to take revenge. After I arrived, I learned that there is a Rebel Army. To be honest, you are too weak, and you can’t cultivate. It’s practically impossible for you to rebel against the Ghost Cultivators. So, I want to help you and teach you how to increase your strength as soon as possible.”

The Red Goblin raised his brow and said, “Tell me what you are planning. What do we need to do in return?”

Zhao Hai replied, “I don’t ask anything of you. You have a huge enmity with the Ghost Cultivators. To save your kin, you will fight against the Ghost Cultivators. And if that happens, you will attract their attention. Then the Ghost Cultivators will have no energy to go to the True Spirit Realm to cause trouble. The True Spirit Realm can even send people to help you kill Ghost Cultivators.”

The Old Goblin looked at Zhao Hai’s face before deciding to believe his words. In fact, he already knew a portion of what Zhao Hai said. The Old Goblin knew more about Ghost Cultivators than Zhao Hai expected. ℝΑNՕΒЕṩ

People say that the one who knows you the most is your enemy. This saying had quite the truth to it. The Red Goblins are of a different race to humans. It won’t be easy for the Red Goblins to know about the Ghost Cultivators. However, the Old Goblin still knew about Ghost Cultivators through various methods. He knows that there is another world besides the Underground World. He’s also aware that it is called the True Spirit Realm. Although their situation in the Underground World was good, the Ghost Cultivators have always wanted to return to the True Spirit Realm.

The Old Goblin also knew that the Ghost Cultivators were beaten to the Underground World by the True Spirit Realm. He just didn’t show it in front of Zhao Hai. He wanted to see if Zhao Hai would tell him the truth.

Naturally, Zhao Hai would tell the truth, he even mentioned that he would teach the goblins how to cultivate, which made the Old Chief a bit impressed. He didn’t expect Zhao Hai would answer him truthfully.

The Old Goblin looked curiously at Zhao Hai, wondering why Zhao Hai told him the truth so easily.

Zhao Hai saw the Old Goblin’s expression and said, “Old Chief, do you have doubts about what I said? Actually, I have been in contact with your race for quite some time. I helped you kill a Ghost Cultivator last time. However, at that time, your people treated me as an enemy, so I didn’t have the chance to explain. This time, I came to visit and express that I want to help the Red Goblins. At the same time, this would fulfill my mission to create an enemy for the Ghost Cultivators.”

The Old Chief nodded, “I believe you. However, I want to know how you found out about this place.”

Zhao Hai smiled faintly and said, “I am a Divergent Ability User. I have long known about your people. I have their aura in my memory. I just followed them here.”

The Old Chief nodded, then he sighed and said, “God really favors the humans. Such abilities can even be acquired by humans. You can cultivate terrifying techniques to traverse the heavens and the earth. You can crush mountains with one punch. On the other hand, we Red Goblins have nothing, only a body too weak to fight.”

Zhao Hai looked at the Old Chief and said, “Old Chief, your bodies aren’t weak at all. You have great potential. I have analyzed your race. Because you lived in the underground world, your physique has been changed by the earthfire pillars and have gained the fire attribute. As long as you practice fire-element cultivation techniques, you will be able to increase your strength in a short period of time. You will even have the strength to fight against the Ghost Cultivators. I came this time to deliver a cultivation method to the red goblins.”

When the Old Goblin heard Zhao Hai, he couldn’t help but stare. His hazy eyes couldn’t help but light up as he said, “Mister, are you telling the truth? Do you really have a cultivation method for us?”

Zhao Hai nodded, “Yes. I believe that the Old Chief is in his current state because you failed to cultivate. If the Old Chief believes me, I can cure you.”

As he listened to Zhao Hai, the Old Chief’s expression became more excited. But he had lived a long life, he calmed down after a few breaths. He looked at Zhao Hai and said, ‘I’m not afraid of Mister laughing at me. My legs are like this because I wanted to create a cultivation method for my race to practice. But as you can see, I failed. My body has been damaged ever since. If you can cure me, then I will be grateful.”

Zhao Hai smiled faintly. Although the damage to Old Chief’s feet didn’t look serious, it was still caused by a faulty cultivation method. It should have been difficult to cure. But since the Old Chief wasn’t that strong and the fact that the cultivation method that went wrong was very basic, the damage to the meridians wasn’t severe. The only reason why the Old Chief was still disabled was because the Red Goblins didn’t have any healing techniques.

Zhao Hai stood up and made a few hand seals before a white light came out of his hand. Then Zhao Hai waved his hand, and the white light disappeared into the body of the Old Chief.

The Old Chief felt as if his legs had been submerged into a hot spring. He couldn’t help but look at his legs in surprise. He found that he could control his legs, which was something he dreamed for a long time.

The Old Chief tried his best to stand up, but Zhao Hai suddenly said, “Old Chief, although your feet have been healed, you have been disabled for many years. The muscles on your legs have deteriorated. You need to exercise bit by bit before you can walk properly.”

Hearing Zhao Hai, the Old Chief calmed down. Then he bowed towards Zhao Hai and said, “Mister, thank you very much for this kindness. This old goblin will remember this favor deeply.”

Zhao Hai waved his hand and said, “Old Chief is too polite. I also have a question for you. The Old Chief seems to know a lot. Moreover, your manner of speaking isn’t like the other Red Goblins. May I know where the Old Chief studied? Judging by how the Ghost Cultivators treat your race, they should be willing to teach you.”

Hearing Zhao Hai’s question, the Old Chief suddenly showed a sad expression before he said, “I used to be a slave of a human. When that human taught their children, I was able to listen in and manage to learn how to read. When I managed to run away, I joined the Rebel Army.”

Zhao Hai nodded, this made sense. Zhao Hai saw how Ghost Cultivators looked down on the red goblins. In the eyes of the Ghost Cultivators, the Red Goblins were so untalented that they couldn’t practice cultivation or learn spells. Therefore, many cultivators wouldn’t mind having their Red Goblin slaves present whenever they taught their descendants.

The Old Chief looked at Zhao Hai and said, “Mister, I heard that the Humans treat their cultivation methods as secrets. If Mister gives us his cultivation method, wouldn’t you be punished?” The Old Chief asked because he has seen Ghost Cultivators being punished for passing their cultivation method to other people.

Hearing the Old Chief, Zhao Hai smiled faintly and said, “Old Chief doesn’t need to worry. What I will teach you isn’t our sect’s cultivation method. The Sect wouldn’t punish me. This is the cultivation method. The Old Chief can take a look first.” After he said that, Zhao Hai took out a few pieces of beast skin and handed them over to the Old Chief.

The Old Chief excitedly received the beast skin. Zhao Hai deliberately used beast skin because he was afraid that the Red Goblins wouldn’t be able to use jade slips. Using paper also wasn’t good for long term storage and would rip after being used multiple times. What Zhao Hai didn’t know was that the beast skins he gave the Old Chief would become holy relics of the Goblins. They would call the beast skins as their holy records.

Zhao Hai didn’t disturb the Old Chief. He believed that the Chief could understand the contents of the cultivation method. Zhao Hai used straightforward words when he wrote the cultivation method. He also made the earlier stages of the cultivation method very easy to understand. Anyone who could read would be able to understand it.

The Old Chief was someone who dabbled in creating cultivation methods. Although he failed, it still proved that he was a genius who could comprehend cultivation. If such a person still couldn’t understand the simple writings that Zhao Hai wrote, then Zhao Hai would think that there was no need to teach the red goblins.

The Old Chief seemed to be so infatuated by the contents of the beastskin scrolls that he forgot about Zhao Hai’s existence. His mind was completely focused on the written cultivation method. Like Zhao Hai thought, the Old Chief was a genius among the Red Goblins. He could easily understand the contents of the cultivation method. This was also the reason why he was so attracted to the cultivation method. To the Old Chief, this was a cultivation method that was most compatible for the Red Goblin Race.
