The Martial Unity

Her amber eyes, even as they died, flared with a burning desire for more power.

It was the desire that was at the heart of all other desires she had ever had in her life. Every ounce of motivation she had ever had, every drive she had ever cultivated, every ambition that propelled her into action.

All of them stemmed from a desire for power, from the desire to defy causality. It was a desire so strong that it had carved its path in its desire. A desire that had molded her entire life. A desire that was at the essence of all of her actions.

’This is who I am.’ Her amber eyes glistened with a euphoric epiphany. ’I am an agent of causality who seeks to defy causality.’

The enlightenment bloomed within the depths of her mind and soul as the two aspects of her flushed into one another, becoming one and indistinguishable from each other. The neuroelectric activity in her brain spiked, reaching unprecedented heights. Neurons fired signals from one end of the brain to the other as the organ hosting her consciousness reached an unprecedented state of neurocognitive hyper-conductivity.

The sheer volume of her consciousness reached extraordinary heights while the caliber of her consciousness grew greater. The integrated information in her brain only grew denser and more integrated, elevating her mind to unfathomable levels.

Her consciousness entered a new state of harmony as her unconscious mind served as a gateway to the rest of her body.

Her perception the world changed.

She had always had an extraordinary perception of the world. Her understanding of causality, both conscious and intuitive, had always vastly exceeded that of other Martial Artists. Her Martial Body had been designed to help her sense it.

But the awareness that came with the Martial Sage was unlike anything she had ever experienced it.

It changed all of her senses into a high-resolution three-dimensional hologram projector that allowed her to inspect even the most minute details of causality with extreme clarity, as if she was zooming into the hologram.

She became intimately aware of the quantum harmony of the four fundamental forces, of the flow of matter and energy through the universe, and her ability to manipulate it through her Martial Causality.

Her enlightenment into reality itself had become something else entirely, allowing her to comprehend the universe as she had never seen it before.

It was the birth of the Martial Soul within her.

Yet, her mind was not hers alone.

Her mind was not isolated.

It was interwoven.

With that of the universe.

Her breakthrough to the Sage Realm had… consequences.

RUMBLE

Far, far away in Gaia Prime, Rui’s eyes sharpened as he felt the spread of tremors. He was in his office, seated at his table with his Martial attire instead of his royal attire, preparing for an important operation.

It was then that he felt unfathomable vibrations spreading through the fabric of reality.

RUMBLE

Through the universe.

Through the information dimension.

”What…” The faintest of whispers escaped him as he beheld ripples through all of reality as he understood it. ”What is this…?”

Not even he, with all of his experience and the caliber of his mind, was able to fathom what was happening. Yet, he could sense the sheer severity of it nonetheless. These weren’t mere empty tremors.

No.

They were… omens.

Announcements.

Warnings.

Of the changes that were to come.

He could feel that the information, the integrated information, of the universe shifted with the tremors. Or rather, the tremors were produced with the shifts. The mind of the universe, the Universalis Mensis, was undergoing a profound change at a scope so vast and extraordinary that not even Rui could fully comprehend what was happening.

RUMBLE

Had the virus finally managed to make a breakthrough and gain access to the Universalis Mensis?

RUMBLE

’No… I don’t sense danger.’ Rui’s expression tightened as he gazed at his hand shifting and changing with the permeating tremors. ’No, this is different. This… this feels more like…’

His eyes widened.

’An awakening.’

He wasn’t the only one to detect the anomaly.

RUMBLE

Jormungandr opened his eyes as he felt a profound reverberation wash through the universe, before eventually closing his eyes once more.

RUMBLE

”Hmmm…” Kane hummed with a deep expression as he stood at the front door to the Dullahan Manor. His Corporeal Realm tingled as he hazily sensed an anomaly spreading everywhere.

He turned to the sky with a deep expression. ”…I hope you’re safe, Runark.”

RUMBLE

Far away in the Strehegeld Star System, two Divine Mothers were perched in a hijacked human spaceship, scanning the minds of the human operatives working for the Seralia Syndricate. They had been meticulously scanning their minds, recording all the information that they could get from the individuals in question.

Then, they felt it.

The ripples through the universe itself.

RUMBLE

It was an information phenomenon unlike anything they had ever experienced in their entire life. It was so anomalous that it stripped them of their highly important tasks of gathering information on the emperors of water of Gaian Civilization.

”What…” -o- frowned. ”What. Was. That?”

”…I. Don’t. Know,” -oo—oo- glanced around her with wary eyes. ”But… It. Was. Not. Ordinary. Whatever. It. Was. It. Must. Have. Been. Significant.”

RUMBLE

They weren’t the only ones who detected it. The many Transcendent beings across the galaxy each sensed it. Highly advanced civilizations that quasi-Type-Three Civilizations like the laminar integuments managed to detect it through purely technological means.

And the Milky Way wasn’t the only galaxy that the anomalous shifts in the information dimension spread through.

It spread across every galaxy across the entire universe.

RUMBLE

Despite the sheer magnitude of the anomaly, its cause and source was not aware of it herself.

She couldn’t afford to.

In that moment, on the verge of death, she gained access to the rest of her body. She gasped for air as a surge of information from each of her cells spread across her entire body, coursing into her newly elevated state of mind.
