The Martial Unity

The powerful collision between the two beings launched them far away from the two armies that had already begun charging towards each other. Even as the two powerful beings glared into each other’s eyes, there was a tacit understanding to take the battle elsewhere. That also told each other that they cared for members of each other’s species, something that they could use against each other if push came to shove.

Arastia mobilized her blood, launching powerful streams of blood at her opponent with a swing of her arms, with extraordinary pressures that vastly exceeded what any ordinary matter could possibly withstand.

FWOOOSH!

Once more, her opponent simply wove a web that integrated with the very fabric of space and time, altering the intrinsic geometry of reality around her. Attacks that should have moved straight towards her began redirecting in wonky directions, as if they were light passing through a curved lens.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!

Arastia watched with almost amazement as each and every single jet of blood that she shot towards the homoarachnoid began to bend, moving away from its target. The most surprising thing was that the data points that she received from her blood suggested that inertia had been preserved.

Which meant that from the perspective of the blood, it had always been moving from a straight line without curving.

’She’s redefining linearity itself within the web of space and time,’ Arastia realized with a grim realization. ’These webs can bind space and time so well that they could alter Euclidean geometry itself.’

The fundamental facts of the nature of distance had changed. No longer was a straight line the shortest path between two points. It was whatever her opponent engineered it to be.

She could not be bested with raw force alone. FWOOSH

Arastia’s eyes widened as she watched her attack simply diverge the moment they touched the part of space that was webbed to the webbing that her opponent created. The web was a fractalized restructuring of space and time that allowed her opponent to simply diverge her attacks away from her. Yet, she wasn’t merely limited to defense. The black-furred homoarachnoid began generating more web fluid, casting it up her hands with which she began weaving along her fingers. She began webbing the very fabric of space and time around her, making it more and more rigid, making it more and more pliable to her will at the same time. Unbeknownst to Arastia, the web fluids were composed of a strange esoteric form of matter that was known as non-baryonic gravitational fluid in scientific circles. It was a substance that essentially formed powerful bonds with the iotas of gravity itself, the graviton. And when mastered at the hands of a powerful homoarachnoid with as much power as her, it could be used to create permanent structural domains where space and time bent to the will of the user.

Arastia watched with alarm as a tsunami of web fluid erupted into the world around them. The web flew into the air as the two traversed around the battlefield at a very high speed, bonding with the very fabric of reality. Her opponent was a homoarachnoid that relied on webbing that bonded with space and time itself to maneuver around at high speeds, even as Arastia relied on sky-walking, the two rushed about, exchanging attacks at each other.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

Arastia unleashed an attack that could eviscerate entire tectonic plates into pure vapor. An attack of such catastrophic power that almost no Martial Sage would have been to withstand it head-on. And yet, her opponent simply bent the webs that bound space and time itself.

THWOOM

Arastia watched as the very geometry of space and time seemed to warp, rendering reality into what resembled a shattered mirror, reflecting a broken image that simply didn’t smoothly connect. What was a straight line was redefined.

It didn’t matter how strong Arastia’s attacks were; the attacks were simply redirected.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The sheer force of Arastia’s planet caused a massive crater to emerge on the planet, lifting a vast cloud of dust that could be seen with the naked eye far in outer space, covering a significant portion of the planet’s surface. RUMBLE!!!!!

The violence of the power that she unleashed was fueled by tapping into the materia prima in each and every single one of the blood cells that partook in her attack. FWOOSH!!!

The massive cloud of dust that erupted into the atmosphere of the entire planet was so large that it would have been an extinction event for any complex that existed on the surface of the planet. If not for the homoarachnoids living deep within Planet Amadeus III, they would have undoubtedly been wiped out.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Yet another attack zipped past the black-furred homoarachnoid, barely being redirected to miss her. The sheer force and speed of those attacks sent chills down the spine of the black-furred homoarachnoid. -o—o— had been told by Oo—o- that she was facing a powerful entity that had wiped out a large number of homoarachnoids all by herself. However, she realized that the sheer output that her target was capable of exerting exceeded even what she had imagined. She was outmatched in terms of raw power. Arastia was at least an order of magnitude stronger than her in that regard. The only advantage that -o—o— had was her ability to restructure the geometry of space and time around her, redirecting the nature of linearity. Each web she spun and bound space and time with was webbing that changed the geometry around her, turning it into a domain the rules of which only she understood.

Soon, the very world around Arastia was composed of fractalized reality, divided into disjointed compartments of curved space and time, impossible to navigate. And impossible to foresee attacks within.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

-o—o— managed to land the first attack of the battle upon the hemosapien as her body, clad with webbing bound to space-time itself, struck her on her back. The eight legs of the creature came together to strike her at one point to maximize the force of the impact that Arastia sustained.

”Rgh,” she turned around with a severe expression, launching a massive wave of blood, threatening to crush the homoarachnoid where she was.

And yet, she was already gone.

CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK…

An eerie clicking sound surrounded her as she floated midair in the skies of Planet Amadeus III, the visage of which was completely fractalized.

She had been caught in the web of the spider.
