The Martial Unity

Over the past five years, Rui hadn’t just dedicated himself to expanding his proficiency in Transcendent and quasi-Transcendent esoteric matter. He had explored another domain of extraordinary potential.

Mirror neurons.

They were half of the source of Tokugawa’s extraordinary potential and prodigious genius. He had taken the opportunity to read up on what mirror neurons were and how they worked.

And more importantly, how Tokugawa’s mirror neurons differed from those of other people.

He found the secret.

And once he did, tapping into it with the power of the Gene Realm was effortless.

It gave birth to Mirror Mode, a state where he converted a large number of Anthean neurons in his head into mirror neurons, mimicking the kind that Tokugawa Ieyasu had. It allowed him to be able to copy any and all movements in this state and perfectly replicate them with little to no practice, depending on body type compatibility.

He altered his eyeballs with the Gene Realm, allowing him to perceive the depths of clone Rui’s body as if he were studying him in a high-tech lab. It allowed him to perceive each and every single motion on anatomical, physiological, cellular, and even biochemical levels.

It allowed us to perceive the essence of the Outer Divergence quantum slippage technique. And it allowed him to replicate it.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!!!

Even as each and every single one of Rui’s palm thrusts slipped off his opponent, he found himself growing more and more ecstatic at the newfound source of his adaptive evolution that was clone Rui. He also realized just how wrong he had been to believe that he had hit a bottleneck. Clone Rui created such an extraordinarily powerful technique despite having no esoteric matter, no Gene Realm, and no autocorpus.

If he could accomplish such wonders and find new power and new adaptive evolution with such a limited body, then who the hell was Rui to complain about not having anything left to explore?

“I was foolish and narrow-minded, but you have opened my eyes to the possibilities that still exist.” Rui smiled with ecstasy at his clone. “You have my gratitude, Rui. And in exchange…”

His ethereal eyes sharpened.

“I will defeat you with all of my power.”

He activated all of his conventional power, mobilizing the full extent of his body, his systems of thought, and his broader Martial Art. His physical power surged as he charged forth towards clone Rui with a knowing expression. Outer Divergence was an active technique, which meant that if he could disrupt his timing of the technique, he would be able to get rid of the technique.

Ordinarily, this would mean using hypnosis or misdirection to mess with their perception of the world. But given that his opponent was Rui Quarrier using Gigabrain, he knew that that wouldn’t work.

WHOOSH!

He charged forth with his full speed, turning into a blinding blur as a single remark escaped him.

“Body of Chaos.”

It was a technique that built upon the solution that Anthea had used against the Reverend of Reckoning long ago, leveraging quantum entanglement to increase the amount of entropy within his body, making his existence more chaotic. Making him harder to predict.

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

For the first time in a while, Rui’s attack connected with clone Rui’s as the chaos impeded the latter’s Prophecy of the Void, making it harder for him to achieve the level of precision and accuracy needed to pull off Outer Divergence. In the blink of an eye, Rui leveraged chaotic adaptive evolution, completely throwing off clone Rui’s predictions of him.

An onslaught of blows emerged from Rui against clone Rui.

This time, each and every single one of them struck true and hard.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

Clone Rui balled up, growing fully defensive as he deployed the exotic pluripotent matter within his body to create invintium that he spread on his outer body, desperately trying to stop Rui from ravaging his body with devastating impacts.

BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!

The invintium reduced the amount of damage he took from Rui’s blows, giving clone Rui some reprieve to heal from the damage he endured from the onslaught of blows.

Or so he thought.

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Clone Rui coughed blood as Rui’s impact permeated past the invintium armor with the perfect resonance frequency, ravaging his internal organs. “It’s over.” BANG!!!!!

A devastating left hook crashed into a half-baked guard as clone Rui struggled to even react to Rui’s blow despite possessing an active Gigabrain. The Body of Chaos deprived him of his much-needed foresight into Rui’s future movements, who very much retained a highly functional Prophecy of the Void that gave him deep insight into his clone’s movements.

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

A thundering kick to the solar plexus caused clone Rui to choke for air, while a swiveling elbow to the jaw rocked his skull, permeating the impact through the invintium.

BOOM!

A hook kick to the head.

BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!

A five-kick spinning combo to the right side of his body.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

A thundering flying knee kick to the ribs.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!

A rapid three-blow combo ravaged his torso, once again permeating the impact through the armor as clone Rui leaped away, trying to put some distance between them.

And yet, he was teleported back to Rui in the blink of an eye.

WHOOSH!

He came face-to-face with the original.

“You’re going nowhere.” He grinned with a ferocious battle lust as he unleashed a thundering blow at clone Rui, intending to knock the man out then and there.

WHOOSH

His eyes widened with shock as his blow passed right through clone Rui’s head.

As if his body was made of no substance.

Clone Rui surged forth through Rui’s attack as if he were a literal ghost. His hand balled into a fist as a single remark escaped him.

“Convergence of Casimir.”

It was one of their most powerful offensive techniques.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Clone Rui’s fist blasted into the torso of the original, inflicting an impact of tremendous power.

RUMBLE!!!!!
