The Martial Unity

Several minutes prior in East Genora stood a giant tree, close to the epicenter of the continent.

Her body was of a much greater magnitude than even that of Mother Alicia.

Her giant trunk comprised dark wood bark, while the countless super-giant leaves hanging from her enormous branches were even darker.

In the darkness of the night sky, her presence was chillingly ominous to all those who beheld her.

She was Mother Mara of the light elves, one of the original and elder Mothers of Nature of East Genoran Elven Civilization.

The enlarged, giant forests around her were eerily empty.

There were no chirping birds.

No animals.

Not even the whistles of crickets.

It was simply empty.

Devoid of fauna.

Devoid of activity.

It was perilously chilling.

Even more so in the darkness of night, where one couldn’t see anything.

WHOOSH…

Cold winds washed across the entire forest, gently swaying branches as their rustling leaves whispered in the wind.

And yet, while everything appeared calm, empty, and silent on the surface, the same could not be said for the Greater Genoran Flora Network. At its very depths, at a level that only the Mothers of Nature of East Genora could possibly access, the leaders of East Genora had completed their preparations.

’All elves within a ten thousand kilometer diameter have been secretly evacuated,’ Mother Varka whispered in the depths of the network.

’All signals across the Greater Genoran Flora Network have been manipulated to hide the evacuation,’ Mother Miera added. ’The stealthy departure of more than a billion light elves has successfully been hidden from any satellite surveillance and any remote spying through the Greater Genoran Flora Network.’

’Can confirm the absence of any report, alarm, or activity among our darker sisters in my espionage surveillance of the dark elves and their networks,’ Mother Urshia whispered.

’It hasn’t been easy hiding this activity from our sisters in the west,’ Mother Miera huffed. ’They have been increasingly wary of anything happening to that disgusting creature that they have harbored in their midsts. I had to go all-out to fake the elven activity in this region across the Greater Genoran Flora Network just so that they wouldn’t notice their absence. It isn’t easy fabricating the communication between more than one billion elves and the forest.’

’Monitoring their awareness without getting caught in my espionage attempts has also been difficult,’ Mother Urshia added. ’Our biotechnological prowess is nigh-identical overall, after all. But we have a slight edge when it comes to espionage, after all.’

’Reinforced power lines complete,’ Mother Vermillia added, joining the conversation. ’With this, most Mothers of Nature should be able to contribute to the attack even from afar with their full power. The underground organic photonic energy lines will allow us to supply our power at the speed of light.’

’Final offensive biotechnological check-ups, complete,’ Mother Urmila also joined the conversation. ’We went out of our way to prematurely update all trees in this region over the span of five months before the generational update. I have personally made sure to install the very best of the best military botanical bioweaponry in these trees. They are equipped with organic antimatter explosives and nuclear weaponry to such an extent that they could burn down this entire world if we launched them haywire.’

’Defensive energy absorption systems check-ups, complete,’ Another Mother of Nature added. ’With this, we recycle energy over and over. There won’t be a single waste, and our longevity and stamina in battle will be virtually infinite.’

’Predictive model of target has been acquired and installed.’

’Communication network in the field has been enhanced. We have ten minutes before the dark elves notice.’

’Reinforced invintium bark systems check-ups, complete.’

One by one, the other Mothers of Nature participating in the operation also chimed in, providing reports to the group and to the leader of the operation. They had been planning an exceedingly complex and discreet operation that the dark elves weren’t allowed to find out about under any circumstances. This had required them to move with great care and great precaution, taking many clandestine measures to prepare for what was to come.

And now, five months later, they were ready.

’All preparations have been completed.’

The network went silent as Mother Mara’s authoritative and elder voice silenced her little sisters.

’It is time to commence Operation Demonslayer.’

RUMBLE

The world shook as Mother Mara’s astronomical tree form began shaking with power.

The air grew heavy with tension as all the Mothers of Nature waited with bated breath.

The atmosphere grew electric with peril.

WHOOSH!

Chill breezes turned into violent, frosty winds that washed over the empty, silent forest.

The darkness of night seemed to come to life as Mother Mara mobilized a fraction of her full power, activating the biotechnology that she specialized in.

Spatial biotechnology.

It wasn’t easy to manipulate space using botany. The dark elves were among the final civilizations to get their hands on this technology due to the fact that biotechnology had such a high threshold and barrier of entry.

However, once they had mastered space in a biotechnological system, they gained the advantage of being able to activate it with very little energy and effort, compared to the other civilizations.

RUMBLE!!!

The very fabric of space and time itself began curling at a specific, pre-determined point at the very epicenter of the empty forest.

The very fabric of reality began contorting to its very limit.

Before ripping.

In the blink of an eye, the hole in the fabric of reality itself connected two points for just the briefest nanosecond.

One where it began.

And another where it was targeted.

Rui Quarrier.

One moment, he was standing in the little love cocoon that he had created for himself and Amare, ready to get back to training.

The very next moment, he appeared midair.

Midair in East Genora, surrounded by titanically enlarged trees.

Mother Mara had already issued a single command.

’Attack.’

RUMBLE!!!!!

The world shook as an unfathomable amount of power converged upon Rui, threatening to destroy him where he stood.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!
