The Martial Unity

The emergence of two quasi-Transcendent beasts.

The destruction of a Sage-level powerhouse.

The death of a Transcendent candidate.

Each and every single one of these events had horrible consequences on all of human civilization.

It drove up despair.

Even amid the leadership of human civilization, morale had plummeted to an all-time low.

Each Sage-level powerhouse experienced a surge in the pressure that they faced from the beasts and monsters of the Beast Incursion.

The vast number of monsters and beasts that once converged upon the Gu now began converging upon the rest of the world as much of North-West Panama had been rendered into a lifeless void.

A void that even the beasts and monsters avoided.

The number of Sage-level beasts and monsters ravaging the defense lines of Sage-level powerhouses was reported to increase by nine percent in the first day immediately after the destruction of the Gu.

This put tremendous pressure on Martial Masters around the world who were just getting the hang of dealing with Sage-level beasts and monsters with the help of the technological solutions of the Psycher and the Hellbringer model of the Dawnbringer.

The sheer intensity of the war rose visibly as the density of beasts and monsters around the world rose proportionally.

The thirteen powerhouses in particular had been hit the worst.

And yet, what they feared the most were not the Sage-level beasts and monsters that they had solutions for but the quasi-Transcendents who had shown signs of growing more active.

The air in the Panama Continent had grown electrically perilous.

That was when the Emperor of Harmony decided to officially announce the news.

A single sentence.

“Prince Rui Quarrier Silas Kandria has broken through to the Sage Realm.”

A single sentence.

That was all that was needed.

It spread an inferno across the entirety of human civilization.

In the past four years, the Dawnbringer had cemented himself in the hearts of people around the world as a beacon of hope and salvation, spreading blessings across the entire world. With some active nudging from the Beggar’s Sect, a nascent religion that believed in him as the savior came to emerge as a way of helping people retain their hope and optimism for the future.

What would happen if these people all around the entire world then came to learn that He, the one they worshipped in their hearts, had broken through to the Sage Realm?

“All hail the Dawnbringer!”

“He who will deliver us unto salvation!”

“He who blesses the world with his power!”

“We are saved!”

“Destroy the evil beasts, O mighty Lord!”

The people of human civilization erupted into a bout of hope and positivity for the first time in a long time.

The emergence of the Abyssal Dragon had shaken the world, destroying morale, and the chaotic and dark events had driven them even further into despair and misery. The people broke out into celebrations over the announcements, desperately grabbing at any source of happiness that they could get their hands on, clutching onto it like their lives depended on it. The Beggar Sect actively spread the news around the entire world, to every corner that had even the slightest ember of humanity left in it, spreading hope.

Spreading the tale of Rui the bringer of dawn in an Era of Darkness.

All of this for the sole sake of helping muster resistance in the people.

To cultivate and nourish the sentiment that they could win.

And yet, while the people celebrated, the leaders of the political sphere had mixed reactions to this announcement.

“Huff… so he has finally broken through, has he?” Prime Minister Edward sat in his office.

His face gaunt with stress.

His hair had grown whiter.

The black bags underneath his eyes had grown more pronounced.

He read and reread the simple announcement that the Emperor of Harmony had released, pondering about the sheer significance of this event as his expression grew complicated.

Of course, all Sage-level powerhouses had strongly suspected that the Dawnbringer had broken through when his Martial Embodiment consumed the entire planet. The only reason they hadn’t been certain was because the Dawnbringer had a track record of accomplishing the impossible in lesser Realms of power.

But with this announcement, there was no doubt about it. “Tsk.”

An expression of displeasure appeared on the Prime Minister’s face.

Objectively, this was a good thing. The third Great East Panamic War was long over and the Britannian Empire and the Kandrian Empire had long made up. They even had a trade agreement centered around the cornucopia national treasure of the Britannian Empire and distributed food to the entire world through the Bradt-Kandria Seafaring Enterprise.

The Dawnbringer was an extremely important asset and not even Edward could deny that his contributions to humanity were truly worthy of the title of Dawnbringer. He had even helped the Britannian Empire in its time of need, putting aside old grudges and working together for the future.

Objectively, Rui breaking through to the Sage Realm was a good thing. And yet, he had never been able to shed his resentment towards Rui. He still couldn’t get over how this man had been an important reason of why he had lost the war.

“With this… he is unstoppable within human civilization.”

Rui was already one of the most powerful people in all of human civilization.

With this, it was not an exaggeration to say that he was the single most powerful person in all of humanity, after the Transcendents.

With his ability to trigger breakthroughs, he had immense influence within the Kandrian Empire and the Virodhabhasa Theocracy. His ownership over its several treasures, his contacts, his Sage-level Martial power even as a Master. He was highly important.

Now that he had thoroughly broken to the Sage Realm with a display of power unlike anything the world had ever seen before, he commanded the political power of a Sage-level powerhouse all by himself.

“That’s not all…” Prime Minister Edward’s eyes sharpened. There were rumors of an even more reality-defying ability.

Faintest whispers that circulated amid the intelligence community.

The power to resurrect the dead.

Prime Minister Edward wanted to scoff when he heard it, but he couldn’t bring himself to wave it off as nonsense.

The Dawnbringer has shattered everybody’s understanding of what was and wasn’t impossible so many times that nobody could bring themselves to dismiss these rumors very easily.
