The Martial Unity

A horrifying sight unfolded before Rui’s eyes.

The heaven darkened with a familiar dark storm while the land shook as cracks of lava and magma appeared. Heaven and earth had become his enemy.

CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE!!!

RUMBLE!!!

Ieyasu gritted his teeth as he burned through his stamina without regret. Additionally, he employed any and all Martial Art that allowed him to tap into other sources of energy that could allow him to increase his output. On top of that, he activated a highly niche Martial Art that enabled anaerobic respiration, pushing himself to the very limit to fuel all the techniques that he was outputting.

Each technique consumed a lot of energy by itself.

Together, they demanded an enormous sum of power.

And in return, they would deliver power commensurate with the price.

CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE!!!

RUMBLE!!!

Storms brewed, turning the beautiful heavens into an ominous abyss.

The land roared as countless glowing red cracks emerged. The winds danced perilously, circling Rui like a predator eyeing its prey.

A region once hospitable and a haven to a diverse biosphere and ecosystem became hellishly destructive to all hints of life. Ieyasu breathed deeply as he exerted an extraordinary level of control over countless forces and powers.

His Body and Heart strained as they furiously burned away energy to sustain what was the crystallization of his entire Martial Art. It was the culmination of everything he had ever accomplished in his entire life. A convergence of every Martial Art he had ever copied and assimilated in his entire life. Hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of Martial Art.

Each and every single one of them assimilatively evolved into a single Martial Art.

It was difficult and time-consuming.

And now, it was finally complete.

“Mirror Style…” A faint whisper escaped him as his black eyes sharpened with deep ferocity. “Converging Apocalypse.”

RUMBLE!!!

The world shook.

The world shook as heaven and earth and everything in between converged upon Rui in a horrifying apocalypse. Countless lightning bolts of unparalleled destruction rained down as they lit up the entire world with blinding light. If there was a Hell, then it had opened in all its fury, unleashing an ocean of lava and countless spikes of magma with rage and anger.

The world converged upon a singularity.

A single point.

A single man.

It was a calamity that no Martial Master could possibly survive.

A death sentence of absolute finality.

A catastrophe of endless peril.

An end with no escape.

And yet, even as the entire world converged upon him in an armageddon of destruction, Rui’s eyes finally opened.

In their depths was blood-red darkness.

A single whisper escaped him moments before apocalypse converged upon him.

“Megamind.”

BOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

An explosion of unparalleled power and destruction erupted.

It eclipsed all of heaven and earth.

A torrent of devastation emerged as unparalleled power subsumed the entire world.

RUMBLE!!!

The entire world shuddered as the aftermath spread far beyond the limits of the battlefield. Countless earthquakes, tornadoes, storms, and floods emerged once the attack was over.

Ieyasu’s eyes widened with shock.

Not because of everything the attack had destroyed.

But because of the one thing that it hadn’t.

WHOOSH

A single figure emerged from the smoke and destruction.

His body was profusely bleeding all over.

His flesh and skin were burned and torn.

His muscles were wounded.

His bones were cracked.

And yet, a smile emerged on his face.

One of endless excitement and ecstasy.

And one of endless bloodlust.

Ieyasu’s expression crumpled with somber reckoning.

His eyes burned with determined willpower.

“I will win no matter how many times I have to blast you with Apocalyptic Convergence.”

RUMBLE!!!

Heaven and earth roared as the second advent of calamity emerged from the very root of the world. Ieyasu gritted his teeth as his entire Body began bleeding from the sheer amount of effort that he exerted to command all the winds, the sound, the gaseous poison, the heat, and countless other principles to converge.

And yet, they couldn’t so much as touch Rui.

BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!

The bloody darkness in Rui’s eyes flared with power as he evaded every single attack that Ieyasu threw at him. Each and every single single bolt of lightning, each and every spike of magma, blast of wind, or light, or sound.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!!!

Not a single one of them could touch him.

Every time Ieyasu thought he had finally struck his opponent with a plume of poison, or a bolt of lightning, or a bullet of sound, it would just crash into an empty image.

A feint.

Rui had become a ghost.

So much so that it begged the question whether he even existed.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!!!

He wove through the countless attacks that threatened to kill him where he stood, leaving hundred if not thousands of feints in his wake.

So long as there was land beneath his feet, the combination of Megamind, the VOID algorithm, the SOUL System, and Phantom Step allowed him to evade everything that converged to destroy him.

Not even the countless elements that comprised Ieyasu’s attack consisted of were beyond Rui’s prediction. He had already made many predictive models for the many Martial Art from prior. On top of that, he a powerful and well-developed SOUL model on him that allowed him to understand exactly how he would attack Rui in the immediate future. On top of that, he relied on his own understanding of the principles of each attack to mechanically predict exactly how each attack would unfold.

Yet, even for Rui, juggling all this data was almost impossible.

That was there Megamind came in. It was just perfect for such data intensive circumstances like this. However, he didn’t have time.

DRIP DRIP DRIP…

Blood profusely dripped from his body from the countless wounds that his body sustained due to his failure to completely evade catastrophic apocalypse that Ieyasu had unleashed upon the entire world around them.

He didn’t have much time.

The intensity of his eyes continued to escalate to astronomical heights as he furiously blazed through the battlefield, trying to reach his way to Ieyasu. The latter expression hardened with severity as he did everything in his power to kill Rui where he stood.

RUMBLE!!!

The fated battle roared on with ferocious intensity!
