Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!

Chapter 188: Chapter: 187 Rosel’s admiration.

Thud!

Both Julius and Rosalina collapsed onto the ground at the same time like two puppets whose strings had suddenly been cut.

Their bodies hit the stone floor with a dull sound before complete silence returned to the training grounds.

Their eyes remained tightly shut. Only their slow breathing could be heard now.

The glowing inheritance orbs had already disappeared. It was as if the strange galaxy-like lights had melted directly into their bodies.

Elizabeth stood quietly in front of them with her hands behind her back.

A cold breeze passed through the training grounds and gently moved her long hair. For a few moments, she simply looked at the two sleeping children on the ground.

The inheritances she had given them were not ordinary things.

Inside those inheritances were countless years of cultivation knowledge, battle experience, understanding, and enlightenment gathered by previous users.

Once a person entered the inheritance space, they would experience those understandings directly.

Of course... how much one could absorb depended entirely on talent and understanding.

Elizabeth narrowed her eyes slightly while looking at the sleeping pair. ’With their monstrous talents...’

They would probably absorb nearly ninety percent of the enlightenment left behind.

If that truly happened, reaching the Peak of Conversion Stage in Body Ascension would become almost certain.

Even Elizabeth herself felt slightly speechless thinking about it.

Some people cultivated for years and still failed to touch that realm.

Meanwhile these two little monsters were sleeping their way toward it.

”Phew...”

Elizabeth let out a tired breath. Honestly, raising talented children was exhausting.

Especially when the talented children were abnormal.

She slowly walked forward before bending down slightly. Then, with movements that looked completely effortless, she lifted Julius onto one shoulder and Rosalina onto the other.

The scene looked slightly ridiculous.

A graceful clan matriarch carrying two sleeping adults like sacks of potatoes was not exactly dignified.

Julius’s arm even dangled lifelessly behind her back.

Rosalina’s face was pressed against Elizabeth’s shoulder so hard that her cheeks had become squished.

Still, Elizabeth remained calm.

For someone who had already passed the Fourth Heavenly Trial, this amount of weight felt lighter than carrying groceries.

She calmly adjusted both of them so they would not fall before slowly raising one hand toward the empty air in front of her.

Rip!

Space suddenly split apart with a tearing sound.

The air itself opened like a giant invisible curtain being pulled apart by force. A long dark crack appeared before her, and beyond it was complete darkness that looked endless, like a deep abyss with no bottom.

Without hesitation, Elizabeth stepped inside. The training grounds instantly became empty again.

Then....

In the very next moment, Elizabeth walked out from another space tear that had appeared inside Julius’s room.

The room was quiet and warm.

Soft sunlight entered through the large windows while the curtains moved gently with the breeze.

The bed in the middle of the room was large enough to fit several people comfortably, which was fortunate because Elizabeth currently had two unconscious children hanging off her shoulders.

She walked toward the bed and carefully placed Julius and Rosalina down.

Julius immediately rolled slightly to one side the moment his body touched the soft mattress.

Rosalina, meanwhile, grabbed part of the blanket in her sleep like she was preparing for war.

Elizabeth stared at them silently for a moment before slowly pulling the blanket over their bodies until it reached their chests.

Once she finished, her expression softened slightly. She leaned down first toward Julius and gently kissed his forehead.

Then she did the same for Rosalina.

”Sleep well, my sweet babies,” she said softly.

For a brief moment, the cold and powerful clan matriarch looked no different from an ordinary mother watching her children sleep peacefully.

Then....Snap!

Elizabeth lightly snapped her fingers.

Another space tear instantly opened behind her. She turned calmly and began walking toward it. However....

Tap tap tap tap tap!

A series of tiny hurried footsteps suddenly echoed from outside the room.

Elizabeth paused mid-step. Her eyes slowly moved toward the door. She immediately recognized the footsteps.

Rosel. And from the speed alone...

The child was clearly running with all her strength.

Elizabeth’s eyes narrowed slightly. Right now was not a good time for interruptions.

The enlightenment process was delicate. If Julius or Rosalina woke up midway, the backlash could damage their minds and even damage their core.

So Elizabeth quietly changed direction and walked toward the door instead.

Unfortunately...Fate was faster.

BANG!

The door suddenly burst open. Rosel appeared dramatically at the entrance while breathing heavily.

”I HAVE SOMETHING VERY IMPO....”

Her voice instantly stopped.

The excited smile on her face froze. Because the first person she saw... Was Elizabeth.

The atmosphere changed immediately. Rosel’s entire expression transformed at terrifying speed.

Her eyes became shiny. Her posture straightened. Even her breathing became careful.

It was the expression of a believer witnessing a holy being descend from the heavens.

”Grandma...” Rosel whispered emotionally.

The single word came out with the same reverence people used while praying to ancient gods in temples.

After learning the horrifying truth about her grandmother’s past battles, Rosel simply could not look at Elizabeth normally anymore.

This was the woman who had defeated Gulk with one punch.

The woman who had beaten the great Thoratos using nothing but a slipper.

Just remembering that terrifying scene Nathaniel had described made Rosel’s small heart tremble with admiration.

”Shhh!”

Elizabeth quickly raised one finger to her lips before silently pointing behind herself toward the bed.

Julius and Rosalina were sleeping peacefully under the blanket.

”Papa and mama are going through an important sleep,” Elizabeth whispered softly. ”Do not disturb them.”

Her voice was barely louder than the wind outside the window, yet Rosel reacted as if an imperial decree had just descended from the heavens.

Her eyes widened. Then both her tiny hands instantly flew toward her mouth.

She covered it completely and hurriedly stepped backward.

Under normal circumstances, Rosel would have asked at least fifty questions by now.

But this was not normal circumstances.

This was Elizabeth. The legendary slipper warrior. The destroyer of Thoratos. The nightmare of the thunder god himself.

Rosel obediently retreated without making another sound, though the shining worship inside her eyes never faded even slightly.

Elizabeth quietly stepped out of the room before slowly pulling the large door shut behind herself.

Click.

The hallway became silent once more.

Then Elizabeth slowly turned toward Rosel.

The little girl was still staring at her with sparkling eyes filled with dangerous levels of admiration.

Honestly, it was becoming slightly uncomfortable. Elizabeth glanced left.

Then right. Then behind herself.

After confirming nobody else was nearby, she lowered her voice suspiciously.

”Why are you suddenly looking at me like that?”

Rosel froze slightly. The worship inside her eyes only became stronger.

She looked exactly like a child watching her favorite hero descend from the sky to save the world.

Elizabeth felt goosebumps slowly rise along her arms. Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

Meanwhile, Rosel’s mind was in complete chaos.

’This is the lady who defeated Gulk with a single punch... And beat Thoratos with a slipper...And she is my grandma... Am I the luckiest child alive or what?’

The more she thought about it, the more excited she became.

She suddenly imagined herself proudly telling all her kindergarten friends back at the old mansion.

The scene instantly appeared inside her head. ”My grandma defeated a god with slippers.”

The other children would definitely gasp.

Some might even faint from shock.

Others would probably beg her to introduce them. Rosel could already imagine herself walking proudly while everyone stared at her with respect.

However...

”Do not tell anyone what I told you.”

Nathaniel’s heavy voice suddenly echoed inside her mind like thunder.

Rosel immediately stiffened.

’Right...’ She had promised. This was a sacred secret. A burden carried by Grandpa Nathaniel alone for many years.

Rosel suddenly felt deep pity for him again.

How painful it must have been to hide such truths from the world...

At that moment, she felt that Nathaniel was truly a lonely hero silently protecting history from the shadows.

Rosel’s small expression instantly became serious.

Elizabeth watched all these emotional changes happen across the child’s face one after another and became even more confused.

”Rosel?” she finally called out. The child immediately snapped back to reality.

”You have something to tell me, don’t you?” Elizabeth asked slowly.

Rosel panicked internally. ’Grandma how was Captain Aura....’

She almost said it.

At the very last second, Rosel suddenly slapped both hands over her mouth with terrifying speed.

Her eyes widened in horror. That was close. Too close.

Nathaniel’s teachings had almost been betrayed.

Then, after a few seconds of intense internal struggle, Rosel finally lowered her hands and spoke with complete seriousness.

”Grandma,” she said firmly. ”I’m hungry.”

Elizabeth narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

That topic change was so sudden that even she almost got mental whiplash.

Still, she did not look deeper into it. After all, children were strange creatures.

”What would you like to eat?” Elizabeth asked calmly.

Rosel immediately answered without hesitation. ”Sandwich.”
