Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!

Chapter 13: Chapter: 12 Thank you, great Sanachi.

Creak!

Julius slowly opened the door.

”Oh... so many unfamiliar faces,” he muttered as he looked around the room.

The room was filled with students from first year to fourth year.

Some were reading books, some were scribbling long theorems on paper, and others were just chatting with each other.

But the moment Julius stepped in, every single person turned to look at him.

”A junior?” a male student said from a desk far away. His eyes narrowed.

”Did he get lost?” another student asked with a frown.

”Hey, junior, this isn’t a classroom. You should...”

A boy with black hair and brown eyes started speaking, but Julius cut him off.

”Hello, guys. How have you been?” Julius said calmly.

Then he added, ”I think the moon won’t rise today.”

The instant those words left his mouth, every face in the room changed.

Their expressions turned serious and tense.

Julius stepped further inside and slipped his hands into his pockets.

He gave them a small, cold smile that didn’t reach his eyes.

”Looks like you’re all doing great, aren’t you?”

These students were spies working for Zlycon.

The sentence ”the moon won’t rise today” was their secret code phrase.

In the novel *The Severed Thread* They used this code to communicate secretly.

But later, during the student council president election, a big incident happened and they got exposed.

Not everyone was caught, only a few, but the group had to stay quiet and careful for a long time.

They remained hidden until the hero entered the academy the next year.

”Who the hell are you?” the boy at the far desk asked. His voice was low, eyes sharp like knives.

Julius raised both hands in mock surrender, grinning. ”Relax, relax, guys. I come in peace.”

He didn’t even finish the sentence before every single pair of eyes locked onto him, and none of them looked friendly.

Julius let out a short laugh. ”Wow. You guys are ’thorough’, huh? I like that.”

He casually dragged a chair from the side, spun it around, and dropped into it like he owned the place.

One leg crossed over the other.

”Name’s Julius Augustus Hayes,” he announced, chest puffed out, voice dripping with pride.

”Future husband of ’my’ Rose.”

A long, confused silence.

Some students blinked. A few exchanged quick glances.

One girl in the back actually let out a tiny, relieved breath, like she’d been holding it for ten minutes.

The boy from the far desk finally leaned back, shoulders dropping a little. ”...What did you do with the body?”

Julius scratched the inside of his right ear like this was the most normal conversation in the world.

”Burned it,” he said cheerfully.

He paused, then shot them all a sly sideways look.

Inside his head, though, he was smirking like crazy:

’You’re probably wondering why they didn’t freak out when I said I’m Julius Augustus Hayes, right?’

’Simple. Because I just told them, in the most dramatic, idiot-proof way possible, that I’m wearing his face right now... and my only mission is to make Rose fall stupidly in love with me.’

The tall boy rose from his seat like a tower unfolding.

Blue hair fell messily over his forehead, matching those sharp, icy blue eyes. Handsome? Sure.

But the arrogance radiating off him could choke a room.

He walked over slowly, deliberately, each step heavy with attitude.

He stopped right in front of Julius. Looked straight down at him like Julius was dirt on his shoe.

Julius met his gaze without blinking. Calm on the outside. Inside? A full-on rant.

’Why is this guy staring at me like I owe him money? Because I have zero reputation here yet?’

’Tsk. That trash author really dropped the ball. Should’ve given me a legendary backstory from Chapter one... Wait, hold up. Right now I’m supposed to be one of them. Hehe. Forgot for a second.’

Julius mentally gave himself an awkward head-scratch while his face stayed perfectly cool, like a frozen lake.

The blue-haired boy kept staring. Long. Uncomfortable. Then finally opened his mouth.

”Who... do you serve?”

Julius had been waiting for exactly that question.

Before stepping foot in this room, he already knew the real situation: the four stationary continents might look peaceful and separate on the surface, but they were secretly stitched together under one hidden power.

Not public knowledge yet.

The hero would only uncover it much later, that these spies answered to some high-ranking elder inside Zlycon itself.

So Julius smiled. Small. Confident.

”I don’t serve anyone.”

Boom.

The air in the room turned thick. Every student’s face twisted.

Eyes narrowed. Killing intent rolled off them in waves, pressing down on Julius like invisible hands trying to crush him.

He didn’t even flinch.

The blue-haired boy’s expression went from arrogant to outright murderous. His lip curled.

”You...!!”

But before the boy could lunge or shout or do whatever dramatic thing he was about to do...

Julius cut in smoothly, voice light but carrying perfectly.

”I’m a disciple... of the great Sanachi.”

Dead silence.

The killing intent didn’t vanish, it froze. Like someone hit pause on a murder scene.

Eyes widened. Mouths parted slightly. A few students actually took half a step back.

The blue-haired boy blinked once. Twice.

The cold fury in his eyes flickered, replaced by something else entirely.

Doubt. Then recognition. Then very careful respect.

”...Sanachi?” he repeated, voice quieter now. Testing the name like it might bite him.

Julius just leaned back in his chair, crossed his arms, and gave the tiniest, smug little shrug.

”Yep. That Sanachi.”

The tension popped like a balloon.

Someone in the back let out a shaky laugh. Another student whispered, ”No way...”

The blue-haired boy stared at Julius for a long second.

Then, slowly, he stepped back. Not in defeat. More like... recalculating.

”...Prove it,” he said, but the arrogance was gone.

Replaced by something sharper. Curiosity. Caution.

The Great Sanachi wasn’t just some random name in the Zlycon ranks, he was a legend.

In the novel, there was that one ridiculous scene where Sanachi straight-up captured the hero, but then the hero with his stupidly overpowered good looks, seduced Sanachi’s wife behind his back and escaped with her like it was date night.

Julius clicked his tongue. ”Tsk.”

’Man... sometimes I seriously wonder if that author just wanted an excuse to write straight-up smut.’

Julius leaned back in his chair, looking bored.

”I’m not proving anything,” he said flatly.

”My master sent me here for a very important task. That’s all you need to know.”

He scratched behind his ear again.

”He told me my identity has to stay secret. But if I ever need backup... I can come to you guys.”

Another scratch. ”Ugh, why do my ears itch so much lately?”

The blue-haired boy, Iagano Zani, stood there, eyes flickering back and forth like he was doing mental math at light speed.

’In the three floating continents... no one should even know the name of the great Sanachi yet. And this guy knows way too much about us. Everything.’

Iagano stared hard at Julius for another long second.

Then he let out a slow, tired sigh, like the weight of the world just landed on his shoulders.

”...My name is Iagano Zani,” he finally said. ”I’m here to eliminate all potential—”

”Seeds. Yeah, yeah, I know,” Julius cut in with a lazy wave. ”Master already told me about you.”

Iagano’s eyebrow twitched.

Julius grinned, sharp and a little wicked.

”And don’t worry about Rosalina Valentina. She’s mine.”

He paused, then corrected himself with perfect fake innocence.

”I mean... she was assigned to me as a side mission. The girl’s got crazy potential. My job is to seduce her, wrap her around my finger, and bring her over to our side. Easy.”

The room went quiet again.

A few students exchanged glances. One guy in the corner actually smirked like he was impressed.

Iagano crossed his arms, studying Julius like he was trying to decide whether to stab him or salute him.

After pondering it over, he let out a sigh and spoke, ”What do you want?”

’Bingo!’ Julius smirked, clasping his hands together in his mind. ’Thank you, great Sanachi.’
