I'm an Unknown Actress, But Everyone Knows Me

“Since we’re getting married anyway, aren’t we? So what, you’re gonna date me but marry some other guy? Is Intern Nam that kind of person?”

“That’s not what I meant.”

“Then it’s settled. We’ll just get married.”

“No, but why is the relationship moving so fast....”

“You should think carefully. Boyfriends are over once you break up. But husbands? If you divorce them, you can take half their assets. If I showed you my asset list, you’d probably want to go register the marriage immediately.”

Jeon Segye suddenly started aggressively promoting himself in the weirdest possible direction.

The taxi driver shook his head while holding the steering wheel.

“Though once we combine our assets, you probably won’t want to break up anyway, but still!”

“Let’s date first, okay?”

Holding Segye’s hand, Pyeonghwa spoke.

“There were a lot of things I wanted to do with my first boyfriend.”

“First boyfriend....”

At those words, Segye’s cheeks flushed red.

The car carrying the two of them crossed the Han River.

The screen changed.

The two stood in front of a stylish brick building.

“Stay healthyyy....”

Holding Beopsun tightly in his arms, Jeon Segye sniffled.

Nam Pyeonghwa nodded.

“A-and don’t forget to call me....”

“Kiiiing....”

“You should go inside now.”

As Pyeonghwa carried her luggage away, Segye shouted after her tearfully.

“I-I’ll wait for you! I’ll only wait for you, Pyeonghwa!”

“Ang...!”

As the three shared their painfully emotional goodbye, passing extras muttered to each other.

“What’s wrong with them?”

“No idea....”

Nearby stood a sign.

[♥︎Paju English Village♥︎]

A memo pad appeared above the two of them.

It was a list written in Nam Pyeonghwa’s handwriting.

[Stay up all night on video calls]

-“How were classes today?”

“A liiittle hard. I got nervous ’cause I thought the native speakers might suddenly start talking to me.”

After entering English Village, Pyeonghwa video-called Segye.

They really did stay up all night talking about trivial little things until they fell asleep.

-“Are you asleep?”

“....”

-“Pff... idiot....”

Now Jeon Segye no longer had to imagine Little Pyeonghwa before falling asleep.

Because now, if he missed her, he could see the real Pyeonghwa anytime he wanted.

-“Goodnight....”

Not wanting to hang up, Segye stared at the sleeping Pyeonghwa on the screen before finally closing his eyes.

The scene shifted sideways.

This time, the memo was written in Segye’s handwriting.

[Watch a movie in couple seats]

The words “couple seats” were underlined and decorated with stars.

The two reached for the popcorn at the same time, their hands overlapping.

Pretending to focus only on the screen, Jeon Segye’s hand trembled nonstop like a vibrating phone.

Without saying anything, the two held hands while watching the movie.

“It was really good. V-very moving.”

“I... agree....”

Then moviegoers passing nearby commented one after another.

“Holy shit, I thought I was gonna die from fear. Dude, the killer twist was insane.”

“Ugh— that gave me chills.”

They’d been too distracted to properly watch it, but the movie they saw was actually a horror film.

-“LMAOOOOOO they’re like elementary school kids I’m dying T_T”

-“PLEASE T_T you idiots”

-“This is what I waited till the finale for...ah...”

[Wear matching outfits]

“This one’s cute, but this one’s cute too. No wait, why is everything cute?”

Holding clothes hangers in both hands while picking outfits for Pyeonghwa, Segye admired everything enthusiastically.

“But haven’t we already done this before? We already own lots of clothes like this.”

“No! That’s different! Those weren’t clothes only the two of us wore! I mean JUST the two of us!”

“Grrrr....”

Beopsun growled furiously near their feet.

In the end, the two had to settle for matching phone cases, matching grip-toks, matching watch straps, and matching shoes instead.

Wearing matching outfits, they took a Polaroid picture together.

“Sma-ile-.”

With a whirring sound, the photo printed out and was attached to the living room wall in Jeon Segye’s house.

One by one, more photos were added.

[Celebrate anniversaries]

“You don’t even know what today is! Then why did you say we should celebrate anniversaries?! WHY?!”

“What day is it?”

“How could you forget?! It’s been 200 days since our first kiss in the rain!”

Pouting furiously, Segye turned his head away while clutching a huge bouquet of bright red roses in his arms.

Sighing, Pyeonghwa snatched the bouquet away before giving him a kiss on the cheek.

“Not thereee....”

Segye pushed his lips forward in complaint.

When Pyeonghwa kissed him properly, he immediately grabbed both her cheeks so she couldn’t escape.

Now quite used to it, Jeon Segye tilted his head naturally for the kiss—

and the watch on his wrist vibrated.

[Your heart rate is elevated!]

There were endless things they wanted to do together.

[Go on a picnic]

The two counted to three before opening each other’s lunch boxes.

“Waaah.”

“Wah....”

Segye’s lunch box was genuinely extravagant.

A bright salad decorated with oranges and cherry tomatoes, perfectly neat sandwiches, octopus-shaped sausages with cheese eyes, and yellow omelet rice with ketchup hearts drawn on top.

Meanwhile, Pyeonghwa’s lunch box contained kimbap so crushed and destroyed it had lost its original shape completely.

“It wasn’t like this when I left the house....”

As Pyeonghwa hurriedly tried to close the lid, Segye stopped her and claimed the entire lunch box for himself.

“It still tastes good!”

But after swallowing a fallen piece of kimbap, Beopsun commented,

“Grrrr....”

[Take naps together]

While napping together at Pyeonghwa’s house, Segye reached around with his arm, trying to pull someone into a hug.

But when he found no one beside him, he immediately shot upright.

Beopsun, who had been sleeping on Segye’s arm, startled awake as well.

In the living room, Pyeonghwa stood wearing sweatpants with her hair tied up messily, holding trash bags in both hands as she prepared to leave.

“Where are you going looking THAT pretty?!!!”

-“What the fuck do you mean pretty”

-“LMAOOO it’s killing me because she genuinely looks NOT pretty at all”

-“Look at the state she’s in what is he even talking about LMAO”

“To the convenience store. I’m throwing the trash out too while I’m at it.”

“Ah, seriously, how many times do I have to tell you? I said I’ll take the trash out.”

Bickering together, the two left through the front door side by side.

As the door closed, the shoe cabinet inside Pyeonghwa’s house could also be seen covered in photos of the two of them.

As time piled up, so did the traces of their love.

Hwang Boseok completely cut out the original Episode 1 through 4 storyline and moved everything forward.

Thanks to that, the finale had plenty of room for sweet romantic scenes.

More importantly, the production budget per episode had increased thanks to record-breaking PPL revenue.

The final scene of 〈Dongdaemun Romance〉 was the essence of a happy ending.

It was so important that Jeon Segye had covered it in stars, underlines, and hearts.

[★★★Get Married♥♥♥︎]

“Congratulations.”

“Wow. So this day really came.”

Inside a gorgeous wedding hall, Jeon Segye stood greeting guests in a tuxedo.

Daniel and Emily greeted him while he looked visibly nervous no matter who looked at him.

Even Hanseong’s heir had come.

“Congratulations on your marriage.”

“You don’t look very congratulatory. That tie is from this season’s new H-Mes collection, right? You really went all out dressing up. Though you still don’t look as good as me.”

“As expected, your eye for detail is incredible. At this rate, replacing the groom midway through the ceremony should feel perfectly natural.”

“I’m seriously calling the police.”

The two shook hands forcefully.

“So you’re leaving together after the wedding?”

“No. I’m still the CEO of B-bly, so I have to stay. We’re already experienced in long-distance relationships. We’ll be a perfectly happy married couple this time too.”

“So only Pyeonghwa’s going to France. Okay, understood.”

“I’m seriously calling the police this time.”

-“HOW is English Village a long-distance relationship, Segye TT__TT LMAO”

-“I love that he’s sending Pyeonghwa abroad for real..”

-“Same here, their characterization never broke even once till the end”

“Everyone, please welcome them with applause!”

Wearing a fluffy white tutu skirt, Beopsun came running down the wedding aisle carrying a flower basket in his mouth.

Pink flower petals scattered through the air.

People laughed and applauded.

“Groom entering!”

Completely tense, Jeon Segye walked forward moving the arm and leg on the same side at the same time.

Already standing at the front, Beopsun barked loudly.

“And now.”

Jeon Segye fixed his eyes on the entrance.

“The bride enters.”

The doors opened.

And there stood Pyeonghwa in a pure white dress.

The gaze of Pyeonghwa, who had been slightly lowering her head, slowly lifted forward.

For a moment, the screen slowed down.

The instant their eyes met—

-“Holy shit”

-“CRAZY”

-“WAIT WHAT”

-“WHAT IS THIS”

-“WOW”

Everyone in the live thread lost the ability to speak because of the breathtaking bride suddenly appearing before them.

Nam Pyeonghwa sparkled like sunlight in her pure white dress.

Even the soft pink bouquet in her hands looked perfectly lovely.

Between the flowers and candlelight, music began to play.

Monday I’ll hold your hand

Tuesday please smile at me

Wednesday no matter how many times I say I love you, I never get tired of it

Slowly, Pyeonghwa walked forward in rhythm with the music.

-“WAIT??? HOLY SHIT”

-“Seo Eden sang this, didn’t he”

-“WHAT”

-“NOOO TT__TT”

Famous both as a wedding song and a proposal song, the track echoed through the hall in Jeon Segye’s voice.

I want to paint my whole life with you

Thursday let’s dance together in the rain

Friday don’t be afraid, be brave

Saturday saying I love you feels just like saying your name

It felt as though the song itself were speaking Segye’s true feelings for him.

Everyone felt overwhelmed watching Nam Pyeonghwa smile brightly as she walked forward.

And no one was more overwhelmed than Jeon Segye himself.

“Huuuuuuugh....”

-“AH FUCKING HELL LMAOOOO”

-“WHY IS HE CRYING LIKE THAT T_T LOLOLOLOLOL”

-“SEO EDEN IS INSANE SERIOUSLY TT_TT LOLOLOLOL”

-“This idiot really lived up to his nickname till the very end LMAOOO”

But everyone could understand Jeon Segye’s heart as he burst into loud sobs at the sight of Nam Pyeonghwa walking toward him.

She was so beautiful it genuinely made him want to cry.

“I now pronounce the two of you husband and wife!”

The brightly smiling bride and the groom who was still bawling his eyes out had finally become husband and wife.

As they walked together down the white aisle, flower petals exploded around them from both sides.

I want to paint my whole life with you

Sunday I promise you eternity

As the music swearing eternal love played, the two shared a kiss promising their future together.

At long last, peace had finally come to Jeon Segye’s world.

It was a kind of love he had never known before.

[Thank you for loving Dongdaemun Romance until the very end]

A farewell message appeared on screen.

It truly was a perfectly complete happy ending all the way to the end.
