[Step 2: Integrated Translation and Polishing]

Now I’ll translate the text while following all the specified guidelines:

The text begins with a physical confrontation between Jiang Qingli and Yuan Shimo. She tries to touch him after he’s slapped her hand away, leading to a tense situation complicated by the fact that he’s in his mating cycle. There’s physical tension as she sits on him and touches him to annoy him, not realizing his condition. This leads to an awkward moment when she accidentally touches him inappropriately. He pins her down briefly before injecting himself with medicine and passing out. The scene then shifts to his twin brother Yuan Shiyao at the student council, who is worried about what happened between his brother and Jiang Qingli. He learns that Gu Nian (Jiang’s ”Beast Husband”) has been captured and taken to a black market.

Let me now translate the text line by line while following all the specified guidelines.

Now I’ll proceed with the translation:

SLAP.

The young man’s forceful blow immediately reddened the back of Jiang Qingli’s hand.

She froze in place.

Yuan Shimo blinked, regret flashing in his eyes, but in the next moment he sharply turned his face away.

The young man’s knuckles tightened as he frowned deeply, his voice growing hoarser: ”You—”

Before he could finish, his shoulder was suddenly grabbed.

Jiang Qingli actually pushed him down and straddled his waist!

Not expecting her sudden pounce, Yuan Shimo stared wide-eyed as if someone had hit his pause button.

He reached out to push her away, but when his fingers touched her exposed skin, he jerked back as if burned, frozen in indecision.

He could only allow her to straddle him while her hands roamed across his body.

Jiang Qingli didn’t just touch him—she taunted him too: ”I’m touching you, see? What are you going to do about it? I’m touching you!”

After being slapped, Jiang Qingli felt both angry and wronged.

She believed she had been very responsible toward Yuan Shimo, preparing both the bedroom and study according to his preferences. Though their relationship was ordinary, she hadn’t neglected his Spiritual Healing treatments like others received.

Even if she hadn’t knocked just now, that was no reason to hit her!

Angry angry angry!

The more he refused to be touched, the more determined she was to touch him—that would teach him!

To prevent him from moving, she squeezed his waist with her legs and firmly pressed his chest to hold him down.

The girl had just bathed, and the faint humid mist and sweet, soft fragrance instantly enveloped Yuan Shimo, making him dizzy.

Humans had a slightly lower body temperature than felines, and Yuan Shimo only felt a cool, soft sensation rubbing against his shoulders and chest.

Her touch contained no flirtation; it was purely venting anger, so it wasn’t gentle—rather heavy, actually—leaving faint pink marks on some areas of skin.

Yet even so, Yuan Shimo felt waves of heat washing over him.

The only source of relief was her.

But due to her careless pressure, the cooling sensation would suddenly appear and disappear, offering no lasting relief.

The dizziness grew stronger—perhaps passing out would be better.

Anything would be better than this torturous middle ground.

In his nineteen years of life, Yuan Shimo had spent most of his time alone, never having such close contact with any female.

Not even with his own mother.

He realized for the first time how soft a woman’s hands could be.

Just from her touch, his blood seemed to go mad, rushing to a certain place.

Jade-green eyes narrowed as the young man bent his arm to cover his face and hide his expression.

He bit his lip hard, refusing to reveal even a hint of his distress.

Beyond this, faced with this assault...

The only thing he could do was silently urge the oblivious troublemaker to stop soon.

-

Jiang Qingli’s ”force-touching to anger Yuan Shimo” strategy actually lasted less than three minutes.

Because she quickly realized Yuan Shimo wasn’t resisting at all.

The torso beneath her was trembling slightly, and the ears visible below his covering arm were red enough to drip blood.

Now you know to be afraid, huh?

Jiang Qingli hummed smugly: ”Since you know you were wrong, I suppose I can be merciful...”

As she spoke, she prepared to get up, intending to ask Yuan Shimo about that medication.

Her hand unconsciously pressed backward for support but touched a terrifyingly firm curve.

In that instant, Yuan Shimo’s mind exploded with a boom, his jade-green eyes suddenly constricting.

”You—mmm—”

The young man twisted his waist in struggle, fragmented moans escaping his throat.

The outwardly gentle and distant youth had always given people a strong sense of unapproachability.

No one could have imagined he would make such strange, ear-warming sounds.

Even he himself was hearing it for the first time.

Jiang Qingli quickly withdrew her hand, her face instantly turning red as her words stumbled: ”I-I-I didn’t know!”

The arm covering his face lowered, and Yuan Shimo bit his lip, his gemstone-like eyes staring at her with redness and full of resentment.

Clearly, he didn’t believe at all that it wasn’t intentional.

The young man’s hand suddenly shot out, grabbing her wrist.

In the blink of an eye, Jiang Qingli found herself flipped onto her back on the soft cashmere carpet.

The young man arched his body over her, his form like a cage, imprisoning the girl in a small space.

Jiang Qingli caught the faint woody scent from his body and, meeting those intensely predatory eyes, instinctively felt afraid.

At this moment, she finally belatedly guessed his condition: ”Are you in your mating season?”

”Mm.” Yuan Shimo responded indifferently.

Jiang Qingli’s scalp tingled: ”Then I’ll leave first... you handle this yourself, and I’ll come back later to help with the healing therapy...”

Yuan Shimo stared at her without moving.

Jiang Qingli sensed he still had some rationality left, so she cautiously raised her arms to push him away.

Halfway through, Yuan Shimo suddenly chuckled, pinning both her wrists above her head with one hand.

Jiang Qingli felt like a captured chick, forced to meet his gaze.

She pressed her lips together, shrinking back in fear, but his grip only tightened.

”What are you afraid of?” The young man’s deep gaze fixed on her, his husky voice soft. ”Isn’t this what you wanted to see?”

”Looking down on me from your high place, watching me lose my humanity like a beast, controlled by animal instincts, making a complete fool of myself...”

Blood still stained his lips.

His beautiful face gained a fallen, bewitching quality.

Jiang Qingli felt him obviously pressing against her and hurriedly explained: ”I... I never said I wanted to see your—that!”

Yuan Shimo stared at the resistance in her eyes for a moment, then his attitude turned extremely cold: ”I didn’t want to show you either.”

He closed his eyes briefly, forcibly gathering his composure to release Jiang Qingli, then shakily stood to pick up the medicine vial before jabbing it fiercely into his arm.

He pushed the drug in with vengeful speed, and as the potent medication conflicted with the heat inside his body, Yuan Shimo’s vision suddenly went black.

His form swayed as he fell forward.

Before losing consciousness, he felt himself collapse into a soft embrace.

-

Morning sunlight streamed into the room.

In the student council office, several members looked at the figure sitting not far away, feeling awkward.

”What’s wrong with the Secretary General? He’s been sitting there motionless all morning.”

”This morning he asked me if Senior Yuan had come to the academy. After I checked and told him no, he asked if Jiang Qingli had arrived, and when I said no, he... became like this.”

”He must be worried that Senior Yuan was worn out by Jiang Qingli. After all, Senior Yuan’s health is poor!”

”Hey, lower your voice! Don’t let the Secretary General hear you talking badly about Senior Yuan!”

”Um... with him like this, who’s going to report that matter?”

The group pushed each other around before settling it with rock-paper-scissors, with the loser nervously approaching.

He walked over and called out ”Secretary General” but received no response.

After calling several more times, Yuan Shiyao finally looked up.

Upon seeing his face clearly, the person was surprised.

Goodness, their always impeccable and flawless Secretary General actually had dark circles under his eyes?

Had he not slept all night?

As his thoughts ran wild, Yuan Shiyao frowned and asked: ”What is it?”

”It’s about Gu Nian again.” The person sighed. ”There’s good news and bad news... which would you like to hear first?”

”Stop wasting time,” Yuan Shiyao said. ”Tell me both.”

”Alright.” The subordinate reported honestly. ”The good news is Gu Nian isn’t lost.”

”The bad news is he seems to have been captured and taken to the underground black market.”

Yuan Shiyao wasn’t particularly surprised.

The border between the two cities was always poorly managed and chaotic, with various organizations deeply entrenched there.

Someone like Gu Nian, with some good looks but little strength, being captured was just bad luck.

Yuan Shiyao was about to instruct his subordinate to contact the military when he took out his terminal, but his gaze wandered.

His brother had gone to Jiang Qingli’s place last night and never returned.

They hadn’t... done anything, had they?

His heart felt like it was being clawed by tiny cat paws. Yuan Shiyao hadn’t slept all night, picking up his terminal multiple times but not knowing how to ask his twin brother this question.

Catching sight of his subordinate from the corner of his eye, Yuan Shiyao’s brow suddenly relaxed.

That’s right.

Gu Nian was Jiang Qingli’s Beast Husband, and if he was missing, he should tell his brother about it.
