She Lives without Regret in This Life

Chapter 444: Chapter 454 Disco Hall

”You’re not bad either!” Chen Huaying gave a thumbs up, ”You predicted everything correctly, Hai Lan just came out, and she must be getting along with Qin Cuifen. They’re over there, let’s follow them now.”

”There’s going to be a good show! Let’s go!”

At the end of the snack street was a disco hall, the trendiest place in town. It was a favorite hangout for some of the idle youngsters in town.

Wearing toad sunglasses, flared pants, and with bold, fluffy curly hair.

Meng Ping used to like hanging out here too, and the little fat man was a regular here.

Chen Huaying had only heard about this place before, and this was her first time here. She had just seen Hai Lan enter and couldn’t believe her eyes, rubbing them in disbelief.

She couldn’t believe that Hai Lan, who always seemed so well-behaved in the courtyard, would dare to come here.

The disco’s exterior was modeled after old Shanghai, with neon lights flickering. Standing under it, Sheng Ning was overwhelmed by a strong retro vibe.

”Hai Lan just came here,” Chen Huaying said.

Sheng Ning chuckled, she couldn’t believe she had forgotten about this place. In her past life, she was a regular here too! Every time she came, she was satisfied by the screams of surprise she could evoke, feeding her ridiculous vanity!

Hai Lan had a good buddy here with whom she used to beg together. In her past life, she followed Meng Ping here many times and was very familiar with the place.

If she had remembered this place earlier, there was no need for Chen Huaying to track her; they could have just come here directly and intercepted her.

”Let’s go in!”

”Wait ...” Chen Huaying grabbed Sheng Ning, ”I’ve heard this place isn’t safe. If something happens when you go in, remember to run away quickly.”

Sheng Ning gave Chen Huaying a warm smile, reassuring her, ”Don’t worry! We are here to watch a good show, a truly splendid one.”

”Really? So who is more formidable, Hai Lan or Qin Cuifen?” Sheng Ning looked confident and composed, which made Chen Huaying as anxious as if cats were scratching her heart.

Sheng Ning looked at the disco’s neon lights, a shadow crossing her eyes, ”This is Hai Lan’s turf; she will definitely be the winner.”

”How do you know?” Sheng Ning seemed really strange.

”Hehe ... You’ll see once we go inside.” Sheng Ning pulled Chen Huaying through the door, and the disco’s interior decoration indeed captured the spirit of the eighties.

The space inside was decent, with people in bell-bottom pants dancing to the most popular disco tunes. At the bar, isolated people were either drinking silently or posing solemnly.

There were quite a few foreigners as well.

Now, with Mr. Xiaoping’s advocacy for reform and opening up, a surge of businessmen and foreigners flowed into the mainland, setting off many trends.

The disco hall was one of them, originally intended to be decorated like a bar to appeal to foreigners, but unfortunately, it was a bit off.

This mismatch, however, had become a unique trend of the eighties.

”Welcome ...” The staff inside was about to greet them loudly when Sheng Ning quickly put her index finger to her lips, signaling for silence.

”We’re just sneaking in to have a look. Please don’t tell anyone, thank you!” Sheng Ning playfully winked, her clear, bright eyes expressing all sorts of emotions with every smile.

”Uh-huh!” The young man in bell-bottoms stared at her, continuously nodding. So pretty and so refined, he had been around for so long and this was the first time he had seen someone like her..SerializeObject.She must have sneaked out from home, probably one with very strict parents.
