Family Rise by Daily Intelligence

Chapter 852: Chapter 324: Critical Intelligence and Strategic Planning (Second Update)

”Patriarch, may I offer a small suggestion?”

Fu Yongshang was born with a talent for business, his mind extremely agile, and several major initiatives in the clan were related to him.

Fu Changsheng smiled and said:

”Go ahead.”

”Yes, Patriarch.”

Fu Yongshang organized his thoughts and slowly said:

”Patriarch, although we have now conquered the Yinan Tribe, this is fundamentally the Eastern Wilderness. In the future, it is impossible for our clan’s elite to guard this place. To hold onto this territory, I think we can rely on external forces.”

”Do you mean to recruit Foreign Guest Elders?”

Years ago, when Luofeng Mountain was breached by the Celestial Dragon Tribe, it was because a Guest Elder acted as an inside agent and opened the Mountain Protection Array.

Because of this.

In recent years, the Fu Family hardly recruited outsiders, unless they were well-known, and even after so many years, there are only about a dozen foreign clan members.

Fu Yongshang quickly shook his head upon hearing this:

”Patriarch, what I mean is to find a mountain and establish a city. Whether it’s Noble Family Descendants, Loose Cultivators, or Court convicts, they can all enter. Our people only need to occupy a spot among them. The aim is to build this city into a place that belongs to them, with the location in front of the Yinan Tribe, so that in the event of future Eastern Wilderness Tribe invasions, they would be the first line of defense.”

The plan seemed somewhat chaotic.

However, Fu Changsheng understood the general idea.

He pondered for a while and said:

”In regard to this matter, I will have Uncle Fei contact you later on. As to whether you can make this city operate, it will entirely depend on your own performance. However, the support needed, the clan will provide the greatest help.”

To attract people to the Eastern Wilderness,

one must first have incentives.

Fu Changsheng felt this idea was good, but execution would be as difficult as reaching the sky.

Fu Yongshang, however, was excited upon hearing this:

”Thank you, Patriarch!”

Fu Changsheng gave a few more instructions.

Several days later.

The Communication Jade Talisman at his waist suddenly lit up.

....

When the South Huai Prefecture noble family attacked the Celestial Toad Tribe’s forces.

A group of people silently lay in ambush in Yunyao Mountain, ten miles outside Pingshan County. Though they were dressed as Great Zhou cultivators, they exuded a more rugged and wild aura. The leader sat calmly on a meditation cushion in the cave.

The aura around this person was evidently that of a Great Cultivator of the Purple Mansion.

After a while.

A scout rushed to the front of the cave at a rapid pace, knelt on one knee, and spoke in a muffled voice:

”Reporting to Third Elder, it is indeed as you anticipated, outside Fu Family’s Yunshan County fief lies a Demon-Defying City capable of resisting Tier Three Demon Beasts. There’s a large Mountain Protection Array inside, easy to defend and hard to attack. However, the Pingshan County fief only has one Mountain Protection Array, and this array was previously breached. It has been tested by an Array Master who said that to break it, one only needs to drive a Tier Three Spiritual Artifact into the Thousand Gates to break the array.”

”Moreover,”

”The information we gathered indicates that the one sitting in command of Pingshan County is Fu Changsheng’s eldest daughter-in-law. More than half of the Fu Family’s Foundation Establishment cultivators have been recruited by the Luo Family to attack the Yinan Tribe. The Fu Family’s main forces are certainly unable to send reinforcements at the moment.”

”Third Elder, when should we break the array?”

An elder with a faint Fish Eagle mark on his forehead.

He was from the Fish Eagle Tribe, under the jurisdiction of the Celestial Yin Tribe. The Fish Eagle Third Elder slowly opened his eyes and casually said:

”Although the Fu Family’s main forces cannot reinforce in time, one cannot rule out other variables. Send out orders, conduct one more thorough investigation, and ensure there are no other hidden forces from the Fu Family nearby. Only proceed with array-breaking once everything is confirmed without error.”

”Yes, Third Elder.” The scout accepted the order and swiftly turned to leave.

Several days later, other scouts returned one after another, all reporting no anomalies found. The Fish Eagle Third Elder then slowly stood up, his Purple Mansion’s oppressive force inadvertently spreading, seemingly solidifying the surrounding air:

”Prepare to break the array!”

The Fish Eagle Third Elder flicked his sleeve.

A Treasure Ship floated in mid-air, instantly enlarging. The dozens of Foundation Establishment cultivators in the cave boarded the ship one after another. The Fish Eagle Third Elder’s figure flickered onto the deck of the Treasure Ship, and with a flick of a technique, the Treasure Ship buzzed and shot towards the Pingshan County fief at a rapid speed.

After about the time it takes to drink half a cup of tea.

The Fu Family’s mountain gate came into view.

The Array Master, hidden nearby, received a transmission and flew to the Treasure Ship, where three of them slowly unfolded the terrain map. A technique was activated, and the outline of a Mountain Protection Array materialized. The Array Master, Yui Sang, pointed to the Thousand Gates: ”Third Elder, a full power strike with your Lifebound Spiritual Artifact will break the array before the Fu Family can prepare.”

Saying this.

The three demonstrated once.

The Fish Eagle Third Elder glanced over. Since deciding to attack, it was necessary to do so swiftly to avoid complications. He said coldly:

”Remember, once the array is broken, I will enter the mountain gate first to scout. If there’s a change, you need not worry about me, immediately activate the Treasure Ship and leave. Understood?”

”Third Elder, we wish to advance and retreat together with you!”

Hearing this, Array Master Yui Sang immediately shook his head. As an abandoned infant, he was taken in and brought up by the Third Elder, who also led him onto the path of cultivation. He viewed the Third Elder as a father and naturally did not wish the elder to take risks alone.

The Fish Eagle Third Elder shook his head:

”I am of the Purple Mansion. If trapped, I still have Secret Techniques to escape; you do not.”

Yui Sang wanted to persuade him again.

The Fish Eagle Third Elder glared:

”That’s an order; you would dare disobey?”

”I dare not.”

Yui Sang quickly lowered his head.

The Fish Eagle Third Elder took a deep breath and looked towards the Yunshan County mountain gate.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

This time they learned from spies that the South Huai Family intended to attack the Celestial Toad Tribe. Since their superior, the Celestial Yin Tribe, showed no intention to support, it presented an excellent opportunity for plundering resources while South Huai’s rear was exposed.
