Family Rise by Daily Intelligence

Chapter 662: Chapter 282: The Family’s Three Major Developments, Selection of Candidates for Beijing, and Arranged Lifelong Commitment

After Gan Shenglin’s funeral concluded.

The elders were all present, and Fu Changsheng directly convened the Elder Council.

Four years ago.

After the Fu Family ascended to the eighth-grade status and the celebration ended, Fu Changli assumed the position of Chief Steward from Fu Yongfan.

Fu Yongli reported to everyone on the clan’s financial expenditures and various estate outputs over the past four years.

At the end.

He presented the inventory list with both hands:

”Patriarch, because Yongshang signed a contract with five other noble families to establish the Demon-Defying City, the clan acquired an additional large income, and currently, there is a cash flow of three hundred thousand low-grade Spirit Stones on the books.”

Three hundred thousand Spirit Stones.

For the Fu Family at that time.

It was something unimaginable.

Fu Changsheng said:

”What does everyone think is the most appropriate way to allocate these Spirit Stones?”

Sitting on the lower right side, Yaoyao pondered for a while, then said:

”Father, now with the increasing number of our family members reaching Foundation Establishment, the Spiritual Springs opened from the current Tier Three Spirit Vein in the Taiqiu Mountain Range are clearly insufficient. How about keeping these Spirit Stones aside until we’ve accumulated five hundred thousand, and then upgrading this Spirit Vein to Tier Three Middle-Grade?”

”We need to upgrade the Spirit Vein to Tier Four to ascend to a seventh-grade noble family, which also kills two birds with one stone.”

Although Fu Changren had not achieved Foundation Establishment, he was the Chief Steward of the Luofeng Mountain territory, and he shook his head upon hearing this:

”The Wanning Commerce Association postponed the Foundation Establishment Pill auction to the fifteenth of this month, just a few days away. Rather than leaving these Spirit Stones idle, we should use them to bid for Foundation Establishment Pills, as there are many clan members waiting for them to establish a foundation.”

”The more members achieving Foundation Establishment”

”In a few years, with their skills, they can earn these Spirit Stones back.”

Upon hearing this.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Leaving the Spirit Stones unused is like turning them into dead money, especially since it’s uncertain when another three hundred thousand Spirit Stones would be gathered.

Yaoyao also felt her considerations were lacking:

”Uncle truly has far-reaching vision.”

Fu Changsheng saw Fu Yongshang sitting at the end, seemingly hesitant to speak, and said:

”Yongshang, do you have any good suggestions? You are indeed a great contributor to earning these Spirit Stones.”

Fu Yongshang promptly waved his hand in humble fear.

After organizing his thoughts.

He spoke slowly:

”I have no objection to Uncle’s suggestion to use these Spirit Stones to bid for Foundation Establishment Pills, but I suggest using any future Spirit Stones to purchase a Treasure Ship.”

As an eighth-grade noble family,

we have the privilege to purchase a Treasure Ship from the Court.

This Treasure Ship acts as a Pass Token, allowing it to traverse various states.

Fu Changsheng furrowed his brows:

”Yongshang, do you wish to open a trading route between Jingzhou and Jingzhou?”

”Precisely!”

Fu Yongshang was delighted that Fu Changsheng immediately understood his intention and spoke with a hint of excitement:

”Patriarch”

”Currently, in Jingzhou, the Lady of the House has been stationed there for over a decade and has established a firm footing.”

”In Jingzhou, especially in the remote area of South Huai, since the Beast Tide of the Ten Thousand Mountains, marketplaces have been declining, and visiting cultivators are becoming fewer.”

”If we can open a trading route between Jingzhou and Jingzhou, achieving the fifty thousand Spirit Stones for upgrading the Spirit Vein, I guarantee it can be completed within ten years.”

Everyone was highly interested after hearing this.

Fu Molan also found the idea favorable and nodded slightly:

”If we are really to open a trading route, the clan must proactively select and form a trading team. The members of the War Hall have years of hunting experience, and if we can support a few to reach Foundation Establishment, that would be ideal.”

Currently, Fu Yongqi, Fu Yonghan, Fu Yonghui, and others from the War Hall are already at the peak of Qi Cultivation, waiting for Foundation Establishment Pills.

However, Fu Changren knitted his brows tightly.

Watching Fu Yongshang distribute a planning book to each person.

After taking one himself,

He skimmed through it briefly, set it aside, and shook his head, saying:

”Patriarch, I find the idea of creating a trading route too risky. Unlike our Jingzhou, in Jingzhou, it is said that Great Cultivators of the Purple Mansion are commonly seen. Previously, our Fu Family’s trips to Jingzhou mainly involved transporting people, which didn’t attract much attention. However, if we begin transporting goods, making a substantial target, even Great Cultivators of the Purple Mansion might intervene. After all, once past South Huai, High-Grade Noble Families can act against us at any time.”

Fu Yongshang showed respect to Fu Changren.

Unhurried and composed, he said:

”Uncle mentioned a point that I have also considered, so I plan to have the clan’s Array Masters and Talisman Array Masters modify the Treasure Ship after acquiring it. Just like building the Demon-Defying City, our city can withstand Beast Tides and Tier Three Demon Beast attacks, so it should be able to defend against assaults from Great Cultivators of the Purple Mansion.”

”If necessary”

”We can also apply to the Court to have a Great Cultivator of the Purple Mansion escort us. I have heard that the Court’s Great Cultivators of the Purple Mansion can be exchanged for through Court Merit Points, though this cost is considerable, which is why I still recommend the first option.”

In his speech.

Fu Yongshang looked at Yaoyao.

Having broken through to a Tier Three Array Master, Yaoyao had also worked alongside Grandmaster Yu on the construction of the Demon-Defying City.

Yaoyao contemplated briefly and offered no guarantee:

”To modify the Treasure Ship, we still need to first see the actual ship.”

Since opinions were divided, everyone turned their attention to Fu Changsheng, as naturally, such decisions require the Patriarch’s final say.

Fu Changsheng sipped some Black Spirit Tea, soothing his throat:

”The Treasure Ship is a wartime necessity and will need to be purchased sooner or later. Once acquired, we’ll have the Array Hall and Talisman Hall examine the specific situation and proceed step by step, as one cannot become fat from one bite.”
