Luo Chen closed his eyes and slowly absorbed the cyan smoke.

Unlike before, when he merely tasted it, this time he didn’t let even a wisp slip away.

The two strands of cyan smoke, like dragons and serpents, made their way into his body through his nostrils.

And in the Sea of Consciousness!

Golden waves rippled, with four figures suspended above.

As the cyan smoke entered, the four figures simultaneously opened their eyes!

...

That night, Luo Chen felt a surge of excitement once again.

Refining Heaven Demon Monarch did not exaggerate the effect of the soul stone; it was even more miraculous than what the alchemy scriptures recorded.

Just a single soul stone had an effect comparable to a Great Soul Pill crafted with numerous precious materials!

Moreover, it was simpler and more convenient to refine and absorb.

”I don’t know if I can step into the Primordial Spirit Realm, but with enough time and enough soul stones, I can surely perfect the Soul Cleaving Technique!”

”By then, the nine souls will unify, and who under Divine Transformation can have a stronger Divine Soul than me? Maybe even a Divine Transformation expert...”

Suppressing the agitation in his heart, Luo Chen began to formulate his next cultivation plan.

On this island, there were no Spirit Veins, making Qi Refinement impossible.

The elixirs he carried had been used up through daily consumption and two severe recoveries over the years.

Thus, he decided to set aside Qi Refinement for now.

Upon making this decision, Luo Chen subconsciously let out a sigh of relief.

For months, unable to cultivate, he felt empty inside. Now, at last, there was something else to fill the void.

As for Body Refinement, it would continue as always.

He still had a small jar of the Poison Spirit Corn wine, which was so toxic that even the Hundred Poison King Gu could only digest a small part of it each time.

As long as he persevered with the Hundred Poison Body Refining Technique, over time, he might reach the level of a fifth-order desolate beast.

Of course, body refinement had to be done in moderation.

The island had virtually no materials, so if anything went wrong with his body, there would be no time to fix it.

Therefore, the focus should be on the cultivation of the Soul Cleaving Technique!

This incomplete cultivation technique, originating from Han Zhan’s memories, had been practiced by Luo Chen for many years, and in terms of proficiency, it had long reached the Grandmaster level.

Even if Han Zhan were to be reborn, he might not compare to Luo Chen’s accomplishments in this technique.

However, attainment is one thing, while power is another.

Due to the Eastern Wasteland war and the journey to the South Border, the Soul Cleaving Technique had remained at the level of three souls, failing to spawn the fourth soul.

This was its one flaw.

Back in the day, Han Zhan, upon barely entering the Nascent Soul Realm, had nine divided souls, albeit at a lower level.

But the sheer number of divided souls naturally increased his means of derivation.

Whether for attack, defense, or life-preservation, there would be a substantial improvement.

Even Luo Chen’s previous ideas for external incarnations and second nascent souls relied on having enough divided souls.

Now presented with this opportunity, how could he not seize it?

”My Divine Soul Endowment could have spawned the third soul back at the Nascent Soul Fourth Layer, but it was postponed to the Nascent Soul Fifth Level.”

”Now in the Sixth Layer of Nascent Soul, not only the fourth soul but the fifth can also be attempted.”

”The nine souls are soon within reach!”

”When the nine souls are complete, and the Divine Soul reaches its peak, I might even contend with the Divine Transformation existences. And the Divine Transformation Great Power...”

Luo Chen recalled that tale.

The Soul Refining Elder from Yuan Mo Sect had once personally entered Soulbreak Cliff, gaining much and successfully departing.

Why not the Blood Sea Elder Ancestor? Why not the Elder Yuan Mo?

It was the Soul Refining Elder, renowned for their powerful Divine Soul.

Does this suggest that the key to leaving this place lies in having a sufficiently strong Divine Soul?

If that is the case, then perfecting the Soul Cleaving Technique is essential if I am not to spend my entire life here!

Without hesitation.

That night, just like before, Luo Chen began dividing the fourth soul.

In the silent, windless night, only Luo Chen’s deeply suppressed voice of pain whispered through the air.

...

Under the night sky.

A figure, carrying a lamp from the Shadow Light Sect, walked on the soft sand.

Golden-red hues emitted from his eyes as he walked and paused, occasionally bending down to pick up the sand beneath.

As daylight began to break and the sound of waves echoed from afar, the man in linen clothes ceased his actions and turned toward the towering mountain slope nearby.

Unlike previous years, this time he did not directly ascend the mountain but stopped at its base, watching the raging waves crash against the perilous cliff.

In his view, though the cliff stood still, tiny grains of sand occasionally slipped from the black cliff face.

As the tide receded, those black grains settled on the beach.

The man’s expression turned grave, with a hint of shock in his eyes.

Previously, he believed that the large number of soul stones on the beach was washed ashore by the Netherworld Sea, but his discovery a few days ago made him dismiss this theory.

Upon close examination now, it indeed seemed different!

”Could it be that all the soul stones originate from this cliff?”

Luo Chen couldn’t help but look up at the black rock face, which, though devoid of any vitality, gave him a sense of dread.

If this were true, wouldn’t it mean that the entire cliff was a gigantic soul stone?

Back in those days, a soul stone the size of a fist was enough to captivate the Refining Heaven Demon Monarch.

If Soulbreak Cliff were a single huge soul stone, what kind of fortune would that be?

After refining and absorbing it, to what extent would the Divine Soul grow?

In the face of such great fortune, Luo Chen felt no temptation, only immense fear.

Suppressing his greed, he slowly made his way back to his cave mansion.

Casuallty placing the soul stones gathered that night into a jade plate, Luo Chen first meditated to calm his mind.

Once his mind was at peace, Luo Chen examined himself.

In the Sea of Consciousness, six figures sat in a circle, surrounding a towering figure at the center.

Now, the Soul Cleaving Technique had been cultivated to the level of six divided souls!

And unlike before, each divided soul’s strength was not inferior to the strength of Luo Chen’s main soul when he first arrived at Soulbreak Cliff.

This was truly alarming.

To think that Luo Chen’s main soul strength back then was a match for a normal Late Stage Nascent Soul Cultivator.

Now, with six divided souls of such strength, one could only imagine how strong Luo Chen’s main soul is.

”Not a waste of five years of consistent cultivation!”

Luo Chen sighed with mixed emotions, not showing much pride, but rather a touch of melancholy.

Because even having reached this point, he still had no assurance of exploring the Netherworld Sea or leaving this place.

”Does it truly require the refinement of a Primordial Spirit, comparable to Divine Transformation Great Power, to leave here?”

He sighed again.

Luo Chen shook his head, dispelling the oppressive emotions in his heart. Many years of cultivation had fortified his mental state, preventing him from falling into madness due to prolonged loneliness.

”Tonight, it’s time to divide the seventh soul.”

Luo Chen’s gaze fell upon the plate of collected soul stones and began to skillfully operate the Soul Cleaving Technique.

His body trembled slightly, cold sweat beading on his forehead.

No matter how many times he split his main soul, the pain never became bearable.

It required enduring!

As the sun rose and the sunset came, with a day once again fading into silence.

Luo Chen suddenly opened his eyes, panting heavily.

The Nirvana Sacred Fire appeared once more, refining the soul stone and releasing cyan smoke.

After he devoured it, the weakness within him gradually dissipated.

And in the Sea of Consciousness, another phantom figure emerged.

The cyan smoke split into two, the thicker part merging with the main soul, while the thinner part was absorbed by the newly formed phantom soul.

After absorbing the cyan smoke, the two figures stabilized.

In just five years, Luo Chen had split seven great divided souls, all thanks to the soul stones!

No miraculous elixir in the world could match even a fraction of a soul stone’s worth.

This pure soul essence allowed Luo Chen to recover quickly and then quickly grow stronger.

”Once the seventh soul grows, it should be time to split the eighth soul, and the ninth soul.”

”By then, the nine souls will unify, and re-entering Nascent Soul, will I accomplish the Primordial Spirit?”

Luo Chen did not know how other Nascent Soul True Masters gradually transformed their Nascent Soul into a Primordial Spirit; he only knew he was making great strides, striving for an instant success!

And he firmly believed that the way to leave Soulbreak Cliff must lie within it!
