Immortality begins with Becoming an Alchemy Grandmaster

Chapter 649: Chapter 269: Top Grade Tongyou Pill_2

In short!

The merits of the Merits Hall will become incredibly important in the future, no longer merely a chicken rib. The accumulation of merits depends on each individual’s contribution to the Luo Tian Creed.

This measure straightaway eliminates most free-loaders.

Some have expressed dissatisfaction.

However, Sima Huiniang retorts with a single sentence.

“The president’s generosity is not a reason for you to sit back and reap the benefits!”

With this sentence, everyone was silenced.

In terms of decreasing the basic salaries, low-order cultivators, seeing the “benefit” pie, mostly accepted it.

After all, as long as they accumulate enough merits, they are likely to earn no less than before.

Furthermore, there’s the upward channel for Foundation Establishment!

For high-order cultivators, looking at the part that allows direct use of Medium Grade Immortal Mansions, there is no objection either.

A few hundred less Spirit Stones each month, only amounts to a few thousand in a year.

Compared to the rent for the Immortal Mansions, this sum of money is rather a good deal.

After all, that is a Medium Grade Mansion!

This whole set of measures meets Luo Chen’s goals.

In fact, this set of measures is not complicated.

It only elevates the merit system to the “performance” system used in his previous job.

In this way, regular targets can be set to evaluate the internal situation.

Furthermore, it can also expose some internal issues of people just floating on the surface and lazybones.

On a larger scale, Luo Chen can therefore redistribute interests!

Distribute some lazy dogs’ Spirit Stones to diligent people.

And at the end of the year, throughout the gap in the whole year, the saved Spirit Stones will be quite a large amount of liquid capital, as far as both he and Luo Tian Creed are concerned.

Moreover, with this set of merit system, it can promote internal competition and collective growth.

As for that set of “benefits”.

In reality, what one gains on the swing one loses on the roundabouts.

Twenty thousand Spirit Stones per year seems a lot.

But in the future, with the escalating number of Foundation Establishment Cultivators, just the reduced basic salary each month, when accounted for a whole year, will definitely exceed twenty thousand Spirit Stones.

Danxia Peak, in Hui Xin Hall.

Sima Huiniang sits at the top, there is a huge desk in front of her.

External Sect Steward Xu Xiaoliu respectfully stands below.

After a long while, Sima Huiniang raises her head.

“Start recruiting upstanding Rogue Cultivators now!”

“You are in charge of this aspect, I and the people from the Merits Hall will be responsible for final review.”

Upon hearing this, Xu Xiaoliu’s eyes light up.

The External Sect can finally recruit people now!

In the future, he will no longer be a commander without the support of soldiers!

“President, rest assured, Xiaoliu will definitely not let you down, and will not let the Chairman down!”

Watching him leave excitedly, Sima Huiniang smiles and shakes her head.

The internal policies can only be adjusted to this extent for now, more adjustments will need to be made with due respect to changes in circumstances in the future.

Externally, it is time to start recruiting.

Just as the Chairman said, the existing two hundred or so people simply cannot support too many Foundation Establishment Cultivators.

The number of low-order cultivators must be increased!

Newly recruited rogue cultivators shall be incorporated into the External Sect.

Do not think too much about basic salaries and such, everything purely depends on merits.

As for how to arrange the extra manpower?

The Luo Tian Creed still lacks enough people to look after its several hundred Spirit Fields.

Otherwise, there wouldn’t be Battle Hall Cultivators laboring in the fields.

Moreover, in the future, as the Luo Tian Creed develops, all positions will always need someone for menial jobs.

“Besides, many rogue cultivators only wish for a cultivation place.”

…

On Tianlan Peak.

Inside the Yi Seventeenth Cave Mansion.

With a wave of Luo Chen’s hand, three snow-white elixirs fly out from the red and white Ice Royal Tripod.

They tumble into his hand.

Looking at the three and a half, and yet faintly extending cloud patterns, a touch of excitement seeps into Luo Chen’s calm demeanor.

“Top Grade Tongyou Pill!”

In spite of the expectation, after perfecting the Tongyou Pill, he still felt a tad nervous.

Nervous whether he could refine a Top Grade Pill like before.

Nervous whether the First Order Top Grade Pill would have any effect on him.

But when he took a light sniff at the pill’s fragrance, all his nervousness vanished.

The dream-like feeling!

Unmistakable!

The Top Grade Tongyou Pill would surely be useful to him.

Consider this: Even the First Order Top Grade Allure Pill had a faint effect on Third Order Demon Beasts.

He is only at the early stage of Foundation Establishment, thus it will naturally have an effect on him.

“Even if it’s just a slight improvement, as long as my Divine Soul Endowment increases slightly, it’s more than worth it!”

Without any hesitation.

He leaves the aftersales of cleaning the Pill Tripod to Bai Meiling and Luo Chen heads straight to the Quiet Room.

Clears his mind, gets rid of unnecessary thoughts.

Takes out one snowy Tongyou Pill, solemnly ingesting it.

After about the time it takes to burn a stick of incense.

Luo Chen’s eyelids tremble, his entire consciousness sinking into the Sea of Consciousness.

In that empty Sea of Consciousness, a golden light quietly circulates.

If we use the words of the Immortal Cultivation world, this golden light is the manifestation of the Divine Soul Endowment.

During Qi Refinement, the Spirit Consciousness was confined within, unable to leave.

After Foundation Establishment, Dantian Sea Transformation occurred, the Sea of Consciousness was affected and hence the Divine Soul was able to emerge, forming the so-called Spirit Consciousness.

At the moment of coalescing the Golden Core, the Sea of Consciousness becomes a Mansion, which forms the Purple Mansion Sacred Ground, Spirit Consciousness mingles with Divine, transforming into Divine Consciousness.

It is said that after reaching the Nascent Soul Stage, this golden light can even shape itself into a human form, known as the “Nascent Soul” that has condensed three souls and seven spirits.

At the moment, the golden light trembles slightly, vaguely giving off a feeling of blooming fulness.

In the dark, Luo Chen feels that he has become stronger!

With a movement of his heart, Luo Chen’s consciousness leaves the Sea of Consciousness.

Opening his eyes, Luo Chen takes a long, relaxing breath.
