Chapter 176: Luo Yun Prepares for War, Beast Tide Sweeps, Riding Six Dragons, Second Order Blast Ape (10,000-word Mega Chapter, Please Subscribe)—3

Now, the Luo Yun Sect seems to be in this situation.

With their current strength, they probably would not be able to wage an Open

War.

Unable to expand externally, their only option is to fight internally.

“Ido not know whether my guesses are right or wrong.”

Luo Chen sighed bitterly. He only knew that under the encompassing tide of this era, he, a mere Ninth Level Qi Refinement Cultivator, could only go with the flow.

Yet, he has finally built a stable base.

Who would want to drift along with the current?

He had no intention of becoming like Xiong Kun, a rogue cultivator who had to hunt demon beasts to fend for himself.

“Just forget it!”

“Overthinking will not do any good.”

“The priority now is to improve my cultivation and break through to the Foundation Establishment stage as soon as possible.”

“With the Luo Tian Creed in place, even if a war breaks out, I’ll have sufficient buffer to calmly make choices.”

With a sigh, Luo Chen rode on a black cloud, circled around, and headed towards the Luo Tian Creed.

In the cold night, the black cloud moved slowly.

Unseen and unnoticed by any cultivator who might happen to look up.

It didn’t take Luo Chen long to return to the outskirts of Crescent Valley.

However, before he could land, his heart was already racing.

“It appears my base is going to be ruined!”

The moonlight poured down like liquid mercury.

The five-coloured light curtain was already deployed outside the Crescent Valley.

The strong smell of blood and the intermittent roars of beasts indicated that the Luo Tian Creed was encountering its largest crisis since its establishment.

A beast tide!

Half an hour ago.

Sima Huiniang, who had just finished her cultivation, was about to go to sleep when Yuan Xiaoyue hastily woke her up.

“President, a large number of demon beasts have been spotted nearby!” Seeing the anxious girl, a shock passed through Sima Huiniang’s heart, but she remained calm on the surface.

In the midst of putting on her coat, she started to walk out.

“What is the situation exactly?”

Yuan Xiaoyue was stationed to assist her by Luo Chen, running errands and delivering messages for her.

Influenced by Sima Huiniang, Yuan Xiaoyue calmed down.

“The demon beasts were discovered by Battle Hall cultivators on night patrol.” “Most of them are from the Ancient Plains Mountain Range, predominantly apes and monkeys.”

“Currently, Law Enforcement Elder Zhou Yuanli is leading a team to set up defensive lines. Various cultivators from Battle Hall have been notified and are all set.”

Sima Huiniang paused in her steps.

She turned around, her brows furrowed. “Beasts from the Ancient Plains

Mountain Range?”

Crescent Valley was neighbouring the Xiao Yue Mountain Range and backed by Radiant Leaf Mountain.

The demon beasts there usually consisted of primarily Grey Leaf Demon

Wolves.

Why would there suddenly be apes and monkey-type demon beasts?

The closest large mountain from the Ancient Plains Mountain Range, Zhouyi Mountain, were indeed occupied by many apes and monkey-type demon beasts.

However, the distance was far, being hundreds of miles away. Why did these beasts traverse such a distance to come here?

Yuan Xiaoyue was clueless.

Sima Huiniang shook her head, understanding that the other party didn’t know much.

She walked outside while issuing tasks.

“Summon the elders from the four halls.”

“Have Duan Feng oversee the Five Elements Large Formation. If necessary, use the reserved Medium Grade Spirit Stones to stimulate the full power of the formation.”

“Finally, notify the President!”

After the order was issued, Yuan Xiaoyue immediately ran out.

Sima Huiniang rubbed her forehead, full of confusion.

Although Crescent Valley was isolated outside The Great River District, it rarely encountered beasts attacks.

The encounter today was rare but it was covered in the protocols of the creed. However, beasts from Zhouyi Mountain?

While she was confused, she quickly arrived at a watchtower.

Zhou Yuanli was commanding and arranging the defense line up there.

The two nodded at each other understandingly. Sima Huiniang then activated the Spirit Vision Technique to look outside.

There were already scattered appearances of Blast Apes, Golden Spirit Monkeys, and Green Rock Monkeys outside the city wall.

The number was not substantial, no more than a dozen.

However, Sima Huiniang felt heavy-hearted.

Normally, these beasts would not gather together.

Obviously, a high-order monster was controlling them, using them as frontline forces to attack Crescent Valley.

“How many more beasts are behind them?” Sima Huiniang asked immediately. Zhou Yuanli answered in a deep voice, “According to the scout’s report, there are at least a hundred, perhaps even two to three hundred.” Upon hearing these numbers, Sima Huiniang let out a breath of relief. Thank goodness, this could only be considered a small beast tide.

There had been countless such small beast tides in the history of The Great River District.

Moreover, they often occurred in the winter season.

Looking at the current weather, it did not seem strange at all. Yet, Sima Huiniang knew that she could not let her guard down.

After all, the number of cultivators at Crescent Valley was just under a hundred. The total number of cultivators who could fight was about thirty to fifty people. “Notify the Battle Hall. All members are to be mobilised.” “All late-stage Qi Refinement Cultivators from the other three halls will participate in the battle.”

“Yes, following the president’s orders!”

Zhou Yuanli bowed and immediately dispatched someone to deliver the order. As a Law Enforcement Elder, he didn’t have the authority to mobilise all the cultivators.

Only Sima Huiniang, personally appointed by Luo Chen as the President, had this crucial power to make decisions and oversee the overall situation.

After the order was issued, lights were soon lit in Crescent Valley.

Lines of glint appeared in the night sky.

Seeing that more or less everyone had gathered, Sima Huiniang issued another order, “Elder Duan Feng, lead the others in operating the formation.” “Elder Zhou, you are more suited for battlefield command. I’m leaving this place to you. If there are any requirements, let me know. All the cultivators of Luo Tian Creed will cooperate with you.”
