”Puta!! Puta!!”

”Fuck!! Jesus!!”

Atlético Madrid, the Champions League winner of the 2013-2014 season, a top-three La Liga team for many consecutive years, and one of the ”Big Three of Spain” alongside Real Madrid and Barcelona, was actually scored on by a newly promoted team just one minute into their La Liga season opener?

What a disaster!

For most Chinese fans, they might only know Villarreal, Valencia, Athletic Bilbao, etc.

More seasoned fans might have heard of Mallorca, Getafe, Elche, and other teams... but what kind of team is Las Palmas?

Never even heard of them!

In the Chinese Super League, it might be understandable if a Chinese League One team beat Guangzhou Evergrande.

It’s plausible for a Premier League promoted team to upset Manchester United.

But in La Liga, a league with such a strict hierarchy, the difficulty of a promoted team scoring against Atlético Madrid is akin to winning a 5 million lottery.

Immediately, the entire Atlético Madrid team fell into confusion, and they were even on the back foot.

Everyone subconsciously adopted the rhythm of playing a strong team, with all players retreating to the 30-metre zone, using Atlético Madrid’s most favoured ”low block strangulation” defensive tactic to stabilise the situation first.

The commentator for Spanish National Television, José ángel, couldn’t help but quip.

”I thought there would be no suspense in the matches of La Liga’s Big Three this new season. Who would have thought that Atlético Madrid would be the first to suffer. Their defence is supposed to be the most stable! Could it be that after signing the 100-million-euro player Lance, the team has become unstable instead?”

...

Lance ran on the pitch whilst checking his system.

Considering that Atlético Madrid against a promoted team would mostly exert pressure in the attacking third and play positional football, Lance misjudged the situation.

The equipped templates were more for pinpoint attacking, lacking the ability for quick counterattacks.

Who would have thought they would concede first at the start, forcing their tactics to passively switch to defensive counterattack!

Running on the pitch looking for opportunities, Lance constantly pondered how to break the deadlock, and dampen the opponent’s arrogance.

This promoted team was not afraid of Atlético Madrid at all, playing with increasing excitement, continuously attacking from the outside.

Fortunately, their shooting was poor and posed no threat to the goalkeeping god Oblak.

”So many templates drawn but unusable, the system design has a lot of redundancy.”

Lance couldn’t help but silently criticise the system designer a few times, ”Where did this amateur product manager come from! How did the requirements review pass?”

Never mind, for now, he can only make do, hoping that after the [Hyuga Kojiro] fusion value breaks 100%, the system will upgrade again and optimise some functions, making the system more user-friendly and aligned with user habits.

”Lance! Pzzzz!”

”Hey! Lance!!”

Whilst Lance was lost in thought, the usually introverted Frenchman Griezmann waved to him.

Taking advantage of the opponent’s throw-in, the two briefly conversed.

”Lance, I noticed their right-back turns slowly. Later, we’ll link up, you try to make forward runs, Fernando will help distract, and I’ll pass to you.”

”No problem!”

Before Lance’s arrival, Griezmann was Atlético Madrid’s attacking orchestrator, often using his vision and excellent passing awareness to create chances, showing the quality of France’s attacking core in their 2018 championship run.

Lance was not an arrogant player.

If a teammate was awesome, he was happy; he didn’t even have time to be otherwise.

Riding on a strong player’s coattails and winning was always better than single-handedly carrying the team to victory.

”Leave it to me!”

”Lance, I believe in you.”

Torres also chimed in, giving Lance a thumbs-up.

No need for many words, the front three could all feel each other’s trust.

Although they hadn’t developed telepathy, they had the mutual respect typical of world-class players.

That was enough!

Las Palmas took the throw-in.

The continuous attacks had made them overconfident, pushing everyone forward, hoping to finish off Atlético Madrid in one go.

They didn’t expect Atlético Madrid to already be secretly planning.

”Las Palmas is still attacking. The goal in the first minute has boosted their morale, taking the initiative away from home.”

Whilst Duan Xuan was still worrying about Atlético Madrid, the understated defensive midfielder Koke suddenly pressed and won the ball!

He immediately passed it to Lance!

Everyone subconsciously trusted Lance! Trusted their new teammate!

Duan Xuan saw a very good sign!

”Beautiful!! Lance, a Marseille Roulette! He shook him off!”

Truly worthy of being the 100-million-euro player!

Lance’s dazzling footwork debuted on the pitch, triggering a chorus of cheers from 70,000 people at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium!

”So cool!!!”

”Beautiful!!! Go! Go!”

”Vamos! Vamos!!”

He dribbled past one player with a Marseille Roulette, then pulled it back with an Elastico, and then a double-touch to get past two defenders who were sandwiching him!

At this crucial moment, Lance didn’t even use the abilities from his system templates.

He didn’t even realise that these fancy dribbling moves had already subconsciously become muscle memory!

The system template abilities were actually gradually integrating and becoming his own strength!

After dribbling past three players in midfield, Lance casually and elegantly split the ball with the outside of his left foot, passing it to the onrushing Griezmann!

Atlético Madrid transitioned from defence to attack, blowing the horn for a counterattack!

”Beautiful!!! The pass is very reasonable!! Too beautiful!”

Guest commentator Coach Zhang Lu exclaimed in admiration.

The old man specially worked overtime at CCTV to commentate on Lance’s match.

Every time this kid touched the ball, it was a delight to watch.

Griezmann, also a world-class star, swayed his feet left and right, quickly approaching the opponent, and with two quick changes of direction, he shook off the right-back and burst into the penalty area!

”Griezmann!! Torres is making a run to the far post!!”

The opponent was completely flustered, with defenders surrounding Torres.

Unexpectedly, Griezmann suddenly stopped short, and delivered a deadly cut-back pass!

Lance burst out from outside the penalty area, taking a shot directly without stopping the ball!

He charged up a [Tiger Shot] during his run-up!

Let La Liga witness the power of the ”Tiger Cannon”!

Bang—

Swish—

The thunderous, powerful shot instantly tore through the net!

The Spanish commentator, for the first time, dedicated the passion unique to Latin football to Lance!

”Lance, Lance, Lance, Lance—”

”Goooooooooal—”

”Goooooal—”

José ángel shouted with a prolonged tone, a job that people with poor lung capacity couldn’t do for Spanish commentary.

Accompanied by the home fans’ wild celebrations, Lance sprinted to the camera, then turned and pointed handsomely at his jersey.

”This summer transfer window’s most expensive player officially makes his debut in La Liga, makes his debut in Iberia!”

”May all La Liga fans remember his name!”

”Atlético Madrid’s new number 10, the new king is crowned at Calderón Stadium!”

”LAAAAAANNNNCCCEEEEEE—”

...

With one goal, Atlético Madrid equalised the score 1-1.

The rest was smooth sailing.

Koke and Gabi, the double defensive midfielders, combined with the defenders to form an impenetrable wall.

Torres, Griezmann, Lance, and Saúl could wreak havoc in the attacking third, their interplay beginning to take shape.

”Griezmann!! To Torres, a back-to-goal lay-off—”

”Lance—another goal!! A brace!!”

”In the first half, Lance’s two goals helped Atlético Madrid take the lead!”

”...In the second half, after the change of ends, Atlético Madrid has completely taken the initiative. They have rediscovered their rhythm! Lance!!! A long-range cannon shot from 28 metres out!!”

”A worldie—”

”3 to 1!!! A hat-trick!!!”

”The 100-million-euro player’s La Liga debut, contributing a hat-trick! Is there any stronger proof than this?”

Before the match, perhaps some La Liga media still questioned whether Lance could adapt to La Liga, and if he would suffer from culture shock.

Lance announced to the world with a debut hat-trick!

Conquering La Liga starts today!
