”Damn biological clock!”

This feeling was terrible. It was like an ordinary student or office worker, who usually got up for work or early classes, and was rudely awakened by an alarm clock.

After a difficult week, the weekend holiday finally arrived, and they could finally sleep in. But even without an alarm, he woke up early, lying in bed feeling quite awake.

He picked up his phone and checked the time. May 11, 2014, 7:05 AM.

The sky was just dawning, and sparrows were still chirping outside the window. Usually, Lance would have already gotten up automatically, washed up, and prepared to drive to the base for training.

Today, the whole team had a day off, and Lance didn’t know what to do. After some thought, he decided to get up, wash up, and as usual, go to the club to use the gym and lift weights.

In the bathroom, he brushed his teeth in front of the mirror, which reflected Lance’s handsome face. However, his hair was a bit messy.

He reached out and casually scratched it, but some parts were still tangled. He guessed the beer bath at yesterday’s championship celebration was too wild, and he hadn’t washed it out completely.

...

Back to the night of the championship. Lance and the team lifted the Bundesliga championship salad bowl.

As the team’s greatest contributor to the championship, the absolute superstar who scored the last-second winning goal... Except for Captain Simon Rolfes, as long as Lance didn’t touch the trophy, no one else dared to touch it.

Lance took it as his due, being the first to receive the legendary ”salad bowl.”

”Whoa! It’s really heavy!”

The Bundesliga championship trophy was an 11-pound solid silver plate, feeling substantial in his hands. Lance suddenly had a childish thought.

If he tied a belt to the Bundesliga championship trophy, he could totally cosplay Captain America’s shield, and he wondered if it could block bullets. Another thought suddenly popped into his mind.

If he threw the championship trophy like a frisbee, would it be lethal? He weighed the trophy in his hand and felt its smooth edge.

Lance estimated that it should be quite lethal, perhaps capable of directly fracturing a person’s bones. Unfortunately, this was the team’s honor, and it would later need to be displayed in the Bayer Leverkusen trophy room.

Just kidding! Bayer Leverkusen had been established for a hundred years, and this was their only precious trophy, so it had to be protected like a generational treasure.

”Lance, are you... done playing?”

His teammates next to him were already very envious. Lance was holding the trophy and taking countless photos in front of the reporters’ cameras.

The others could only watch enviously from the side. Julian Brandt cautiously asked a question. Lance finished taking photos and finally handed over the trophy.

A group of Bayer Leverkusen players, as if they had never seen the world, gathered around to touch the cold, smooth trophy, exclaiming in admiration. Lance, on the other hand, was pulled away by a group of television reporters for an interview.

He was the absolute superstar of the day, scoring the winning goal, the savior who won a championship with a last-second strike!

”First of all, congratulations, Lance. You helped Bayer Leverkusen win the first championship in their club’s history, and you scored the winning goal in the final moments. Our Bundesliga also completed its own 9320 miracle. May I ask what your mindset was when you took that long-range shot? And what are your thoughts on winning the championship?”

This question stumped Lance. To be honest, at that moment, he was also caught up in the heat of the moment, not considering the consequences at all.

To be safe, a long-range shot from outside the box couldn’t guarantee a goal; it would be calmer to look for an opportunity to penetrate the penalty area for a shot. Lance, however, decisively chose to take a long-range shot, which was completely a gamble. He hadn’t thought about what would happen if he missed that shot.

Thinking about it now, if he went back to that moment, Lance might still take that shot, right? SV Werder Bremen’s frantic defense had packed the penalty area with people, leaving no opportunity for them to penetrate.

Dragging it out further would also not leave enough time. As long as the ball was passed out, anyone could become the last touch.

Given the bewildered state of his teammates at the time, anyone could have launched a high shot or had the ball intercepted due to hesitation, losing the attacking opportunity. If Lance had passed the ball, he could certainly have avoided responsibility and become blameless.

If they had lost the championship, no one would have blamed Lance; instead, they would have comforted him, saying that as a 16-year-old rookie, his performance had already exceeded everyone’s expectations. Lance’s reputation would certainly have increased rather than decreased.

But Lance didn’t. In that moment, rather than giving the decision-making power to others, he chose to control it himself.

Even if they lost the championship, he would bear all the responsibility! Crucially, subconsciously, Lance had great confidence in himself.

Mirroring Son Heung-min, using explosive power to create space, Lance’s own [Nagi Seishiro] template’s shooting was already confident enough. Coupled with Son Heung-min’s equally excellent shooting, Lance trusted his teammates, trusted himself, and ultimately took the shot that decided the championship!

He won the gamble!

”Because... I believe we can win the championship. Our performance this season deserves this championship.”

Lance’s spirited yet composed demeanor made the reporters present exclaim in surprise. He didn’t seem like a Bundesliga rookie at all!

Instead, he was a superstar who had been battling in the Bundesliga for many years and dominated Europe. Previously, external public opinion was just a kind of anticipation, hoping that Lance could become an existence comparable to Lionel Messi.

After leading the team to win the championship today, at least the reporters on the scene already believed that this young man would definitely compete with Lionel Messi! Lance was still being interviewed by reporters when he suddenly noticed the reporters’ expressions were barely holding back laughter.

When he realized the situation, it was already over! Cold liquid poured directly from the top of his head, flowing down his collar and into his back, a refreshing yet slightly sticky sensation.

”Damn it!”

Lance didn’t care about the interview anymore and turned to chase after him. Julian Brandt, that guy, had already run far away with a beer mug. Lance grabbed a large can of beer from a teammate and finally caught up with Brandt, dousing him head-to-toe, making him beg for mercy repeatedly.

Unexpectedly, Captain Simon Rolfes, who had always been very upright, also poured beer on both of them at the same time. Lance and Brandt then teamed up again and started a beer battle with their teammates.

To be fair, the Bundesliga championship tradition looked a bit childish, but it was actually quite exhilarating to play. The entire stadium was filled with the aroma of beer.

The two coaches in suits, Sascha Lewandowski and Sami Hyypi?, also didn’t escape. They were surrounded by the entire team and thoroughly drenched.

Usually, they were so strict with training; at this time, the players probably had some personal grudges involved. After the beer battle, Lance, shirtless, returned to the locker room with his teammates.

Singing, dancing, rapping, playing basketball... it was a complete mess. Lance thought for a moment, raised his iPhone, and recorded a video with his teammates using the front-facing camera.

Soon, fans who were staying up late on the Chinese internet, discussing Bayer Leverkusen’s championship miracle, had an unexpected surprise! They received Lance’s new Weibo post!

In the video, Lance’s youthful and handsome face occupied most of the screen. He and his teammates were singing Queen’s classic song ”We Are The Champions” together!

”We are the champions, my friends—”

”And we’ll keep on fighting till the end—”

The caption had only one line.

”We are the champions!”

...

Recalling the absurdity of last night, Lance couldn’t help but smile. He wanted to experience such a wonderful championship moment every season!

No! Two, three, or even six times! The more, the merrier!

But for the new season, could Bayer Leverkusen strengthen their squad? Could De Bruyne come?

As Lance brushed his teeth, his thoughts were a jumble. Until he suddenly remembered a question!

”Wait, is it already 25%!”

The second skill of the [Bachira Meguru] template! It had been unlocked!
