Rising Shards

Kitty and I made a decent duo in the escape room. It wasn’t particularly fun solving these riddles and trials with her screaming the whole time, but while her screams were not conducive to timely puzzle solving, they did...get me a little hot and bothered. By the time we got to the room with the busted security camera, I couldn’t help but think about it.

Surely a bunch of people did what I was thinking here, right? The way the front desk lady answered tells me they get it a lot.

The only puzzle to solve in the busted camera room was a clunky toy looking mechanism that was supposed to be a computer, but was clearly just a porcelain blob that was apparently the screen, and three bulbous buttons that just were the digits one, two, and three. There was a note in front of it.

”It says 2-3-1, so that’s probably the code,” I said.

”So maybe we can...” Kitty pouted.

”What’s that?” I asked.

Kitty crossed her arms, muttering something.

”I can’t hear you,” I said. ”Do you think it’s maybe triple double reverse psychology, and the code isn’t 2-3-1?”

”No!” Kitty said. She growled. ”If we know what the code is, maybe we can take a breather. And by breather, I mean...” She swallowed, looking ashamed of herself. ”What I’m about to say does not leave this room. Do you get that?”

”I...think?” I said.

Kitty stood across from me, still looking angry, but she was blushing, too. ”Listen, what you said up front...it kind of...”

”Wait,” I said, wondering if she meant what I thought she meant.

”After you said it, I couldn’t stop thinking about a bunch of people getting laid in this room,” Kitty said, making my heart skip. ”And now we’re here. And it’s just us. I think you’re annoying, and unpleasant, and all around kind of a freak, but everything fucking sucks right now, so. Do you want to?”

”I...er...” I laughed. ”If you’re bringing back Kitty Prankz and this is a goof on me, tell me now.”

”It’s no goof, I’m fucking lonely and pathetic and desperate,” Kitty said.

”You’re not pathetic,” I said. ”I don’t know about the other two, but...surely you can get all the babes you want right?”

”You’d fucking think! But here I am, alone with my annoying coworker who’s cursed to be kind of hot while having the most obnoxious personality.”

”Heh, Kitty, I could say the same to you,” I said.

”Shut up,” Kitty said. ”I mean, you want it too, right? That’s why you have that on.”

”I have what on?” I asked, genuinely not knowing what she meant.

Kitty sighed and pointed to my waist. ”Your thong is showing. It’s bizarrely getting me horny. I cannot believe that you of all people is getting me hot.”

I laughed, in both nervousness and excitement, but also because she misunderstood. ”OK, so the thing is,” I said. ”This is actually just a pair of regular underpants that ripped. So while I am open to this sexual proposition, just wanted you to be aware.”

”Oh my god,” Kitty said. She buried her face in her hands. ”I shouldn’t have said anything. This is stupid.”

”What?” I asked. ”No, no! You said I’m kind of hot, that’s! Really cool!”

”Why say it like that?” Kitty scoffed. ”Take the damn compliment, do you want to fuck me or not? Do you know how rare it is to have Kitty Kilander ask if you want to have sex with her? It’s very rare!”

Even if she wasn’t as famous, and that fame was dwindling more and more, it was still Kitty Kilander. A gorgeous woman, super athletic, super pretty...

And she wanted me? She thought I was hot enough to ask for a dalliance in an escape room with a busted camera?

”I...yeah, let’s do it,” I said.
