First Intergalactic Emperor: Starting With The Ancient Goddess

Angel’s fingers clacked against the holographic keys, but her tone was flat and cutting when she spoke. ”I’ll be honest, I never thought you’d be the type to lock yourself into some committed arrangement like this.”

Reva stretched out on the bed, one leg lazily crossed over the other. ”It’s not a big deal. We’re both getting something out of it. The deal was simple. He lets me drink his blood whenever I feel like it, and in return, I let him fuck me.”

Angel raised a brow, smirking faintly. ”Doesn’t look like a simple deal to me. Feels like that’s already moving into something else.”

Reva rolled her eyes but didn’t deny it. ”I like him. That’s all. I feel good when he fucks me, and I feel even better when I drink his blood. For me, it’s double pleasure. He only gets the fucking part.”

Angel’s eyes flicked from her screen to Reva. ”You do remember you’re Lucas Blackwood’s fiancée, right? What do you plan to do with that little problem?”

Reva shrugged like it meant nothing. ”Xavier will kill Lucas sooner or later. I’m not losing sleep over it.”

Angel tilted her head. ”You don’t care what Xavier thinks about you then? Or about this whole arrangement? I mean, come on, he probably has a few more girls wrapped around his dick anyway. I don’t see your relationship with him ever becoming serious.”

Reva smiled slyly. ”I don’t care how many girls he fucks. Although, once we get married, I’ll just limit how many he’s allowed to.”

Angel’s fingers stopped mid-type, and she swiveled slightly in her chair, a wicked grin tugging at her lips. ”That’s funny. Just a minute ago you said it was all about blood and cum. Now you’re already thinking about marriage?”

Reva blinked, then flushed, realizing what had just slipped out of her mouth. ”I—I didn’t say that.”

”Oh, you said it.” Angel smirked wider. ”Don’t worry, I won’t tell Xavier.”

Reva relaxed a bit, muttering, ”Thanks.”

But Angel leaned in, eyes sharp. ”Unless you piss me off. Then I’ll spill everything.”

Reva narrowed her eyes but smirked. ”Do what you want. I wouldn’t mind if you fucked Xavier anyway. I don’t think he’d mind either.”

Angel snorted and leaned back, crossing her arms. ”Not happening. Xavier and I have a professional relationship. I’m not about to mess that up. I’m not like you, who is fine with your man sleeping around. I want loyalty. And with Xavier? That’s impossible.”

Reva tilted her head, amused. ”You know, Xavier would be sad to hear he got rejected by you.”

Angel shot her a look. ”I’m not rejecting him. It’s just... we met under different circumstances. That changes things.”

Reva’s curiosity sharpened. ”Different how?”

Angel tapped her desk, then answered, voice softer, almost distant. ”The first time I saw him was on a holo call Oliver set up. Xavier was getting bullied. He looked so innocent back then. Weak. Handsome too. Still looks innocent, even now, no matter what he’s turned into. Back then, he didn’t even have a hundred thousand to his name. Now? He throws millions like pocket change.”

Her fingers slowed on the keys. ”And that’s the thing. I don’t know who he really is. That scares me.”

Xavier slipped out through the backdoor, the heavy music from the club muffled as the door clicked shut behind him. The alley outside was quiet, only a couple of trash cans and exhaust buzzing above. He scanned left and right, expecting Oliver leaning on a wall, but there was no one there.

With a low sigh, Xavier shoved his hands in his pockets and walked around the side of the building. The sound of voices grew clearer the closer he got to the front. He heard sharp tones and irritation laced with Oliver’s voice.

When Xavier turned the corner, he spotted him. Oliver stood stiff at the front entrance, two burly guards in black blocking his way. One of them had a hand pressed against Oliver’s chest, keeping him back.

”What the hell, man? I told you I’m with Xavier!” Oliver snapped, shoving the guard’s hand off.

The guard didn’t budge, his expression flat. ”You’re not on the list. No entry.”

Oliver scowled, turning his head as if he’d been arguing for a while already. That’s when his eyes caught Xavier stepping toward them from the side. Relief flashed across his face, mixed with frustration.

The guards glanced at Xavier, then at each other, their posture tightening slightly.

”What’s going on here?” he asked, his voice steady, eyes locked on the guards.

One of them adjusted his earpiece, the other stood unmoving. ”The club’s been booked. Private party. No invitation, no entry.”

Xavier tilted his head slightly, studying their faces. ”He’s with me. Oliver comes here almost every day with me. Strange you don’t recognize him.”

The guard didn’t blink. ”Your friend doesn’t carry a membership card. And since this party brought their own security, rules are tighter tonight.”

Xavier let the silence stretch for a beat, then gave a small nod. ”Fine. I’ll take him through the back.”

They circled around. Xavier reached the back door, pulled at the handle, but it was locked. His jaw tightened. He had just come through it minutes ago. With a slow exhale, he walked them back to the front, his patience thinning.

”The backdoor’s locked,” he said flatly. ”I just walked through it.”

”Must’ve been secured from the inside,” one guard replied. ”The private guests brought their own men. Probably their call.”

A muscle twitched at Xavier’s temple. He pulled out his phone and dialed. ”Angel. Open the back.”

Her voice came back after a short pause. ”...Alright.”

But when they got there again, the door was still shut. Xavier dialed once more. No answer. A minute dragged by. Then another. Finally, the door clicked, swinging open to reveal both Angel and Reva.

Xavier’s eyes narrowed. ”Why are you both here?”

Angel didn’t answer right away, her face pale, eyes uneasy. Reva stepped in, her voice low but sharp. ”Because Angel got spooked. The private guards tried to intimidate her.”

Something broke inside Xavier. His calm expression didn’t change, but his grip tightened around Angel’s wrist. ”Come with me,” he said. His tone left no room for refusal.

He pulled her along, Oliver and Reva trailing behind, until they reached the main floor. Music and laughter boomed, neon lights scattering across bodies swaying on the dance floor. But Xavier’s focus was fixed upward.

On the high balcony, lounging like a king among sycophants, sat a bloated man draped in gaudy clothes, a massive gold chain hanging around his neck with thick letters spelling out VICTOR. His belly shook with laughter as he drank from a jeweled cup, a group of women hanging at his side.

Xavier walked straight to the DJ booth. Without a word, he pulled a cable, killing the music mid-beat. The sudden silence crashed through the room. Every head turned.

He took the mic, his voice carrying like steel through the speakers.

”Which one of you pieces of shit thought it was smart to intimidate Angel?”

The floor stilled. Eyes darted between him and the golden figure above. The air thickened with tension, the hum of neon lights the only sound.

Victor froze mid-sip, his smug grin faltering for the first time as Xavier’s gaze pinned him to his seat.
