Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 907: Chapter 907: Invitation

”Let it be set in the largest square of Capital City, and notify the Huaxia government,” he said coldly, his eyes slipping shut as he began to rest with his eyes closed.

”Yes, Senior Brother!”

The person nodded and then left the place.

Night fell in the blink of an eye, and Ye Luo received an invitation.

”Xuan Ruoyan!”

Seeing the name on the invitation, Ye Luo’s pupils narrowed as he searched his memory and thought of the seductive auctioneer from the previous auction. It seemed that her name was Xuan Ruoyan. But why would this woman suddenly invite him to dinner?

He had no particular dealings with her, and he couldn’t fathom why she would seek him out. According to the ancients, when something is amiss, there must be a demon at play; no one visits a temple without a cause.

Still, Ye Luo wasn’t worried. Since a great beauty had invited him to dinner, he saw no reason to decline. In fact, he was curious to see what this auctioneer’s intentions were. With his capabilities, was there any reason to fear a woman?

Even if this dinner turned out to be a trap, he would confront it with composure. It would be an excellent opportunity to bait the enemy, break the deadlock, and draw the snake out of its hole.

Following the address on the invitation, Ye Luo arrived at a five-star hotel in Capital City. He had never been to this hotel before and was unfamiliar with its layout, losing the advantage of knowing the terrain. Still, he wasn’t concerned.

Even if the enemy had the advantages of time, place, and harmony, what would he have to fear?

”Welcome!”

As he entered the hotel, a cheongsam-clad receptionist bowed and greeted him.

After Ye Luo mentioned a room number, a receptionist led him to a private room in the hotel. As the door opened, he stepped inside.

It was a suite-style room, quite spacious with an outer and an inner room. However, Ye Luo didn’t understand why she invited him here for dinner.

At that moment, the sound of rushing water came from the adjoining washroom as if someone were taking a shower.

Ye Luo glanced over; one wall of the washroom was made of frosted glass, which, although not transparent, was translucent.

With the lights turned on inside, one could see from outside that someone was showering.

Seeing this, a hint of surprise flickered in Ye Luo’s eyes; he had not expected Xuan Ruoyan to be showering at that very moment. What a coincidence.

Was it deliberate?

Ye Luo muttered to himself, highly suspicious of the possibility. Otherwise, why would she invite him to eat in such a suite, and just happen to be showering, especially with the glass being translucent? It all seemed too coincidental.

But Ye Luo couldn’t understand why the woman would do such a thing suddenly. Could it be that there was some plot afoot?

Turning on his Clairvoyant Eye, Ye Luo scanned the entire hotel. Everything appeared quite normal, with nothing out of the ordinary.

Unable to make sense of it, Ye Luo stopped trying to figure it out. He simply sat on the couch, watching the scene behind the translucent glass with a cold smirk before slowly returning to calm. He sat waiting to see what trick the woman was up to.

Soon, the sound of water in the washroom ceased and the door opened. A graceful figure emerged.

It was Xuan Ruoyan. Seeing Ye Luo, she was momentarily startled, but her face showed no signs of panic. Instead, she displayed a charming smile.

”Young Master Ye, sorry for the delay, I was just taking a bath. I hope you didn’t feel neglected,” Xuan Ruoyan said, sounding somewhat apologetic.

”Miss Xuan, no need for formalities, there’s no neglect,” Ye Luo shook his head and replied.

”Young Master Ye, wait for me, I’m going to change my clothes!”

Xuan Ruoyan said and walked into the inner room of the suite. Seconds later, she emerged.

”I apologize for the wait, Young Master Ye.”

With a touch of a smile on her rosy lips, Xuan Ruoyan sat down beside Ye Luo, her scent, like orchids and musk, flooded into Ye Luo’s nose, giving him a strange feeling.

Xuan Ruoyan continued with a breath as fragrant as orchids, ”Young Master Ye, what’s wrong with you?”

”Oh, nothing, just feeling a bit hot, that’s all!” Ye Luo said involuntarily.

”Is that so? Why not take off a few clothes then?”

Even as Xuan Ruoyan reached out to help Ye Luo disrobe, he quickly stood up, moved aside, and said with a light smile, ”No need, just turn up the air conditioning a bit.”

Ye Luo was well aware of what she wanted to do, but since he knew nothing about the woman’s intentions or identity, he dared not take any action. It would be troublesome if it turned out to be a trap.

”What’s wrong, Young Master Ye?” Xuan Ruoyan asked, a seductive smile on her face, her eyeshadowed eyes blinking with a hint of enchantment.

”Well... didn’t you invite me to have dinner?” Ye Luo pondered and said. In any case, it was best to understand the meaning behind her invitation. He had to admit that he wasn’t familiar with this woman before, and whether she was friend or foe was still hard to say.

”Yes, Young Master Ye, please wait a moment.”

Without further explanation, Xuan Ruoyan responded, and at that moment, there was a knock on the door of the suite.

”Come in!”

Xuan Ruoyan went over and opened the door. Ye Luo watched calmly from the side. He didn’t believe the woman couldn’t understand him; a person like her must be intelligent and could surely comprehend. She just insisted on beating around the bush, and Ye Luo was in no hurry either, calmly waiting.

If she’s a fox, her tail will eventually show.

When the door opened, two waiters entered, pushing a dining cart, and placed the covered dishes on a nearby table.

Then, the waiters uncorked a bottle of Lafite wine, opened it, placed two glasses on the table, and then left.

So, her invitation to have dinner turned out to be room service in the hotel room. He had thought they would be dining on western food in a restaurant.

”Young Master Ye, please take a seat,” Xuan Ruoyan said, parting her red lips.

She sat down first and then gestured for Ye Luo to sit beside her. Ye Luo unceremoniously took his seat.

Both seated at the table, Xuan Ruoyan skillfully poured Ye Luo a glass of red wine and then filled one for herself, pouring the exact amount, clearly a connoisseur of wine.

”Young Master Ye, I toast to you. Let this glass signify our first meal together and the start of our friendship,” Xuan Ruoyan said, lifting her glass towards Ye Luo.

”This...” Ye Luo’s expression flickered.
