Wilderness Survival with Druid System

”This guy is really fierce!”

Hua Yun couldn’t help but say, ”Much fiercer than the Canada lynx.”

She still remembered the Canadian lynx from back then. Although it was fierce initially, after Chen Wen and Hua Yun constantly interacted and got close to it, the Canadian lynx was as meek as a cat beside them.

But now, with this creature overhead, Hua Yun couldn’t imagine it being meek at all.

In terms of both appearance and temperament, this white Eurasian lynx was far fiercer than the Canadian lynx back then.

”What should we do now?”

Hua Yun looked at Chen Wen, feeling clueless about the beast roaring and clawing continuously.

The only thought she had was to aim an arrow at its heart.

Chen Wen was wondering whether he should wait a bit longer for it to expend more energy when suddenly, the lynx let out a piercing cry.

It seemed to realize that the thing on its leg was the cause of its confinement.

Suddenly, the lynx bent its body, grasped the branch with its front paws, and started to bite.

Not good!

When Chen Wen saw the lynx’s actions, he immediately realized the situation was not favorable.

This lynx was too clever. In just a few minutes, it had understood that what trapped it was the ropes wrapped around the trunk, and also that the rope couldn’t be easily broken. Breaking the trunk was its only chance to escape!

Just as Chen Wen picked up his spear, the lynx above seemed to have broken something.

With a snapping sound, the lynx plummeted from above.

In mid-air, it extended its body, ensuring its four legs landed stably on the ground.

”Careful!”

Chen Wen stepped forward, shielding Hua Yun.

And right after landing, the lynx showed a fierce expression.

It lifted its paw and surged towards Chen Wen.

Chen Wen raised his spear and swung it powerfully.

The charging lynx was struck mid-air by the spear and flung to the distance.

The lynx that was thrown out showed no signs of fear. It let out a hoarse roar and circled a bit before lunging at Chen Wen again.

Its sharp claws were aimed directly at Chen Wen’s vital spots.

Chen Wen frowned slightly; he hadn’t expected the lynx to be so ferocious.

But compared to ferocity, Chen Wen was not one to be intimidated.

The entry ”Tiger Power” activated automatically, and the aura suppression of ”Mountain Lord” erupted.

The suppression effect of the two entries instantly erupted, and Chen Wen’s demeanor changed drastically.

Hua Yun, behind him, didn’t feel much, but the lynx ahead suddenly sensed a difference.

The seemingly harmless Chen Wen suddenly felt like a completely different person. Though his appearance didn’t change, the lynx could distinctly feel Chen Wen’s aura transform into that of a beast.

The lynx couldn’t help but feel fear.

It let out a ”Wuwu” cry, with its originally agile movements now slowing down.

Seeing this, Chen Wen stepped forward, grabbed the lynx by the scruff, and flipped it onto the ground.

Only then did the lynx realize the problem, letting out a roar and struggling fiercely.

However, the lynx was known not for its strength, and its struggles were childlike against Chen Wen’s overwhelming power. Chen Wen’s arm remained unmoved.

At this moment, Hua Yun approached.

She looked at Chen Wen with surprise; his fierce handling caught her off guard.

Nonetheless, with the lynx already captured, Hua Yun had nothing to say. She took out a rope and helped Chen Wen bind the lynx’s four limbs.

With its limbs restrained, the lynx seemed like a toothless tiger, posing no threat to the two.

”In ancient times Wusong fought a tiger, now I’ve barely tackled a lynx,” Chen Wen said with a laugh, lifting the lynx.

Hearing this, the Golden Eagle beside them chimed in, ”If you ever want to tussle with the big orange or the Northeast Tiger from before, I think they’d gladly cooperate with you.”

Chen Wen was speechless.

Would that still be called a fight if they cooperated?

A pretend fight wouldn’t count.

Hoisting the lynx, Chen Wen and Hua Yun returned to the temporary camp.

This lynx that had struggled for so long was now exhausted. It glared at Chen Wen with a fierce, yet somewhat fearful look.

Chen Wen told Hua Yun to rest, while he dragged the lynx over to the campfire.

The lynx was also afraid of the flames, its fierce demeanor waning significantly.

Seizing this time, Chen Wen walked over to the elk hunted earlier today, using his knife to slice some elk meat, returning to the lynx.

While the lynx’s aura was faltering, Chen Wen cut the meat into pieces, placing them beside the lynx.

This action momentarily stunned the lynx.

It had never seen something like this. Captured by these two-legged creatures, it wasn’t harmed but instead offered food.

This...

While still keeping enough vigilance and fear toward Chen Wen, the lynx now found him less detestable.

And as Chen Wen fed it, the lynx’s head slowly displayed two characters - ”Wisdom.”

Wisdom?

Is this its special trait?

Chen Wen got curious, glancing at the lynx. Observing its actions, this creature was indeed quite clever.

Whether hunting elk calves earlier or noticing the trap and biting through it, its actions were indeed different from typical lynxes.

Chen Wen had developed the idea of taming it precisely due to its unique hunting display.

This creature was indeed rather special.

Watching the lynx extend its head, gradually swallowing a piece of elk meat, Chen Wen began planning its taming steps.

Though appearing fierce, it had a strong acceptance ability or perhaps a broad heart.

Captured moments ago, it dared eat the food offered rather quickly.

Chen Wen pondered, extending his hand to try touching the lynx’s head.

However, it reacted strongly this time.

As Chen Wen’s hand reached out, the lynx stopped eating. Once his hand crossed the psychically sensitive boundary, the lynx immediately let out a hoarse cry.

Though somewhat weak, it still held an undisputed authority.

Nice, it has some traits of a top predator.

Chen Wen nodded in satisfaction. He decided not to further challenge the lynx’s limits and continued feeding it meat slowly.

The ”Wisdom” trait made taming a bit challenging.

But Chen Wen wasn’t in a hurry. According to his plan, first, let the lynx adjust to the environment here and his presence, then activate its ”Communication” capability, gradually allowing it to accept Chen Wen.

Interacting with animals also requires some skill.

So Chen Wen began slowly feeding meat.

During Chen Wen’s feeding, his ”Friendly” aura quietly exerted influence.

Meanwhile, during Chen Wen’s feeding, the night on Lake Baikal quietly fell with snowflakes drifting down, suggesting signs of increasing snowfall. Watching the snowflakes, Chen Wen pondered whether to return after taming the lynx.

At the same time.

Far from Chen Wen, Fred and Roland processed a Siberian Roe Deer through the night, planning to head back to camp.

Once it snows, Lake Baikal rapidly becomes unsuitable for human activity outside.

Time to head back.

Roland took a deep breath, exhaling several wisps of white vapor, which dissipated into the air.

Fred tied the processed Siberian Roe Deer onto a sled, clapping his hands to knock off the dirt.

He asked, ”Shall we head back tomorrow?”

”Yes, if this turns into a mountain-closing snow, we’ll be in deep trouble if we don’t return to camp before the snow piles up.”

Roland said seriously.
