Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

Qiao Tingyan, who was kicked in the back, slammed to the ground. He raised his head and looked at Han Ruochen in shock and horror. Elder sister? This was Han Xuehan’s sister?

”You...who are you? How dare you hurt my son?” Old Madam Qiao was also flustered. Just now, she was so shocked by the turn of events that she did not even listen to what Han Ruochen was saying to her son. She only saw her kicking Qiao Tingyan down, but she was a woman who was used to bullying the weak and fearing the strong. So when she saw Han Ruochen beating her son, who was not only tall and strong but also sending him to the floor with just one kick, she turned scared.

Han Ruochen did not reply to the old woman; she turned her attention to her elder sister. Though she expected to see Han Xuehan in a rather pitiful condition, she never expected that the condition of her sister would be even worse than she had imagined. Though the two sisters were years apart, Han Ruochen still remembered that when her sister was still unmarried, she was called the village beauty. Men would often come to their house to propose to her sister.

It was all because her sister was so pretty that every man couldn’t help but fall for her.

However, now looking at her elder sister, Han Ruochen could not help but feel heartbroken. To think that her beautiful sister had been reduced to this! The woman in front of her no longer held the same beauty as she did in the past. She was so thin that her skin was hanging onto her bones, her eyes were sunken, and her hair had turned into a mess. There was no difference between the strands of her hair and a bird nest.

”Elder sister.” Han Ruochen softly called Han Xuehan. Looking at her elder sister, Han Ruochen was worried that if she dared to raise her voice, her elder sister might end up getting scared. She knew that she was overthinking, but when she saw Han Xuehan’s pitiful condition, Han Ruochen could not help but treat her carefully as if she were made of porcelain.

Han Xuehan’s eyes turned red with tears when she saw Han Ruochen. At that moment, even though she knew that she was her elder sister, Han Xuehan could not help but drop everything and then rush into Han Ruochen’s arms.

”Wahhh!! Ruochen! Why did you come so late?” Han Xuehan could not help but complain. It had been a week since her father called her, and yet they were only coming to see her now. They had no idea how these people bullied her when they saw that no one was coming to see her.

Han Ruochen’s eyes turned red as well when she heard the cries of Han Xuehan. Even though she knew that her elder sister had been bullied, listening to her cries was an altogether different feeling. She curled her arms around Han Xuehan’s waist and hugged her tight.

Han Yichen, who had followed Han Ruochen inside the yard, also turned teary-eyed.

He glanced at the man on the ground and turned to look at Old Woman Qiao.

”What did you say just now?” asked Han Yichen. His voice was filled with anger at the thought of how this old woman was treating his daughter. When he was outside the door just now, he heard this woman say that she would send him away with some mere compensation after killing his daughter. Was he some kind of demon who would eat the flesh and drink the blood of his daughter? If he wanted money, then he could always earn it!

Old Madam Qiao turned flustered. She was so scared that her face turned pale. Just now, she was filled with a kind of sadistic glee when she was bullying Han Xuehan. But now that she was facing Han Yichen, she could no longer say anything. Xiao Ai, who stood beside her, was now hiding behind Old Madam Qiao. She wanted to be as inconspicuous as possible, as she did not want to be dragged into this mess.

She witnessed how Han Ruochen kicked Qiao Tingyan, a tall and sturdy man, without breaking a sweat. If that woman turned her attention to her, then there was a good chance that she would beat her up, too.

She came here to have fun, not to be beaten up. Her son was also smart. He noticed that the situation was not good and hid behind his mother.

”In—In law?” Old Madam Qiao knew that she could not stay silent. Now that Han Yichen was here, she knew that she had to deal with him.

”So you still remember that you have an in-law?” Han Yichen was so angry that he could not help but laugh. ”I thought that you brought an orphan girl home.” His expression twisted as he roared, ”How dare you treat my daughter in such a manner? Who do you think you are!?”

His voice was so loud that the entire yard as well as the surrounding houses, trembled under his mighty voice.

Old Madam Qiao sucked in a breath. Her beady eyes flickered as she said in a low voice, ”In law, first calm down and listen to what I have to say. I know that you are angry, but it is not what you think—”

”It is not what I think?” Han Yichen sneered. ”Old Madam Qiao, don’t try to make a fool out of me. I might be many things, but I am not deaf! I heard what you said just now. Do you think that my daughter has no one in her family? Her father is still alive!”

He then turned to look at his crying daughter and said to her, ”Stop crying. What are you crying for? Your father is still alive. Pack your bags; I could raise you before you got married, and I can surely raise you now that you have gotten married.” These people wanted to beat his daughter to death? Did they even ask his permission for it?
