Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

”Ah, I am sorry. I completely forgot about it.” It wasn’t that Han Ruochen didn’t want to take the money after selling her job, but she was busy dealing with one thing after another, and forgot that she needed to go to the Yun family house to collect the money. She at once apologised for the trouble that she might have caused Yun Xiaoxiao.

Yun Xiaoxiao was now more or less used to seeing this polite and understanding Han Ruochen. She smiled and waved her hand at her before saying, ”There is no need for you to thank me. Instead, it should be me who should be thanking you, because you sold your job to me; I was finally able to become a permanent teacher in the school.”

When Han Ruochen heard her words, she simply smiled and didn’t say another word. She had sold her job to Yun Xiaoxiao because she knew that the woman had a good background and she didn’t want Han Ziyan to take advantage of Yun Xiaoxiao. In her past life, that woman had taken many benefits from Yun Xiaoxiao and her family after selling Han Ruochen’s job. Now it was her turn to change the direction of the course.

And even if she could not take any advantage of the Yun family, as long as she could block Han Ziyan’s path, Han Ruochen would be happy.

”Xiaoxiao!”

Someone called Yun Xiaoxiao from behind, and both women turned to look at the man who was walking over. When Han Ruochen saw who it was, her eyes flashed with a hint of admiration, but the glint was fleeting, and it disappeared before the man could even catch it.

”Brother Muchen!” Yun Xiaoxiao waved her hand at the man, and as he came to a stop beside her, she turned to look at Han Ruochen and introduced her to the man. ”This is my cousin, Zhai Muchen. The eldest son of the main branch of the Zhai family.” she then turned to look at Zhai Muchen and said, ”This is Han Ruochen. She is the one who was attacked a few days ago. The woman you rescued from the sea.”

Upon hearing this, Han Ruochen whipped her head and turned to look at Yun Xiaoxiao in shock and surprise. She knew that she was rescued by someone, but she never knew that that someone was none other than Yun Xiaoxiao’s cousin and Zhai Heng’s big brother. She turned to look at the young man and bowed her head. ”I apologise for not recognising you. Thank you for saving me that night, Master Zhai.”

”No need to thank me,” said Zhai Muchen with an air of indifference. He had done what any soldier would have done, and there was no need to be thanked for it. He simply glanced at the woman in front of him with a little surprise in his eyes. When he rescued Han Ruochen, he didn’t see her face clearly. After all, the woman was bleeding, and her breathing was uneven. But now that he had taken a look at her, he was filled with a hint of admiration, as Han Ruochen was even prettier than the women in the quad as well as the city.

Yun Xiaoxiao, of course, noticed the interest that her cousin had for Han Ruochen and chuckled. It seemed like her cousin was neither asexual nor gay, as her aunt worried; he just didn’t find the kind of woman he was looking for. Yun Xiaoxiao looked at Han Ruochen, who was no longer looking at her cousin and was lost in her own thoughts. This was surprising, as many women would have already taken the opportunity to invite her cousin to a meal by now.

Of course, Han Ruochen also wanted to do the same, as the man had saved her life, but he also made it clear that he had no intention of getting close to her. Han Ruochen was not like Han Ziyan, who could continue pressing her hot face against a cold bottom. Since the man found her a bother, she would rather not act as a nuisance.

”Brother Muchen, can you drive us to my home?” Yun Xiaoxiao was planning on taking a taxi and didn’t want to bother Zhai Muchen but after realising that her cousin was interested in Han Ruochen, how could she let this chance go? She smiled and made an impulsive request.

Han Ruochen frowned when she heard Yun Xiaoxiao’s request. She knew that Zhai Muchen was a prominent figure in the army; if she was not wrong, Zhai Muchen’s position was just a few posts lower than his father, who was the chief of the army. How could she ask such an influential figure to drive her? She was just about to refuse, but then Zhai Muchen beat her to it.

”Okay.”

Okay?

Han Ruochen frowned even harder when she saw that the man had agreed. She wanted to say something, but before she could say anything more, Yun Xiaoxiao grabbed her by her arm and then took her to the car that was parked on the side of the street.

”Don’t worry too much, Ruochen.” Now that Yun Xiaoxiao knew that Han Ruochen had truly changed, she had disclosed her personality in front of her. She said to Han Ruochen, ”My cousin hardly ever comes back home, and even if he does come back, he often sneaks off to the military. My aunt will be happy if I were to take him back home.”

With Yun Xiaoxiao telling her not to think too much, Han Ruochen didn’t say anything and let go of her worries and started chatting with Yun Xiaoxiao.

While the two women were talking, Zhai Muchen kept glancing at Han Ruochen. The more he listened to her, the more he realised that the woman was one with vision and seemed to know what was going on. She knew the dangers that she might ultimately face, so she decided to cut her trouble short and even taught the villains a good lesson. As for fishing, he didn’t think that there was anything such as a big or small job.
