The Golem Mage

Capítulo 1111: Ways Of The Sword 3.

Though the Kage of Silent Night seemed troubled by that issue, however; there was also another person who could not bring himself to stop staring at the War God representatives, it was the Dean of the Bloodline Academy.

The day before, when his team had been defeated by the War God mage team, he had noticed that Alec seemed to have used a type of vampire bloodline, though he had not been entirely sure back then, and in as much as he had wanted to meet Alec and speak with him personally about it, just the thought that he would have to go through the representatives of War God first in order to speak to Alec gave him headache that he decided to let go of the thought.

So he had chosen to let it go, because even if his suspicions were true, and Alec really did possess a vampire-type bloodline, it was not as though the War God Mage Academy would simply open their hands and let him take away their most prized disciple, the very same disciple who had managed to place his name on the lips of almost every young mage in the Northern Kingdom, whether the talk surrounding him was good or bad.

But now he was witnessing Alec Gordons use werewolf power, and it made him begin to suspect that Alec might actually be a hybrid bloodline mage, at this point, he could not care less what the heads of the War God Mage Academy thought of him.

As he made the decision that the moment the match ended, regardless of the result, he would go and speak with Alec personally without fail.

As for why he kept staring at the two War God representatives with such a dark gaze, it was because he felt genuine frustration that they had kept a hybrid bloodline mage hidden within their academy that had nothing to do with Bloodline.

Instead of sending him to Bloodline Academy, which he believed had the proper resources and knowledge to help Alec grow, they had kept him for themselves.

To him, it felt as though they had done so purely because they did not want to lose such a talented student.

He built all of these thoughts in his head, completely unaware that even Old Man Alderic and the Dean seated there had only been able to maintain their poker faces because they have practiced it ahead of now,

And that was because of the fact that Alec revealed way too many surprises for them regardless of if it was a move or ability, so with this practice they have been able to keep their image so they would not embarrass themselves in public.

And literally wasn’t their default because after giving them far too many surprises, they had no choice but to start coming up with countermeasures.

The moment Takeda got dangerously close to Alec, he blasted out his mana to create a small quake, hoping to throw Alec off balance and deviate his attack range a bit.

But Alec remained calm as the earth around him stayed firm and unmoving, while he thrust his hand forward.

In the final moment before the strike could pierce through, Takeda finally raised his left leg high, causing the claw to dig into it instead.

He groaned in pain, but he believed the sacrifice was worth it, as around that time he too finally managed to break free from the shadow-ash grip.

His fingers moved rapidly, forming a series of shinobi hand seals before he thrust both hands toward Alec.

The instant Alec saw that, he dashed backward a few steps, as he had no intention of getting caught in a trap.

While retreating, he also conjured a blood scythe at remarkable speed.

He swung the blood scythe, which was now coated in fiery energy, toward the seal and broke it apart in midair.

But before he could raise the weapon again and settle into a stance, a cold chain wrapped around it.

At the same time, a highly compressed water bullet shot toward him. Alec tried to block it with an earth shield, but when the water bullet drew closer, he noticed a faint blackish hue mixed into it.

The moment it slammed into his hastily conjured earth shield, the shield was blasted apart, and his blood scythe was also yanked from his grasp, as it Alec made sure to retract his mana that was keeping the weapon stable, which caused the blood energy to dissipate into the air, as he was unwilling to allow his own weapon be used against him.

Alec’s now slightly bulkier body was flung backward by the water pressure even though he was able to raise both his arms before him, yet he remained calm.

To those watching, it was obvious that he hadn’t suffered any serious injury, due to the water bullet already being weakened by the Earth shield.

There were a few scratches across his hands, but the important thing was that he was already regenerating.

By the time he lowered his hands again, Takeda was already standing right in front of him.

Takeda immediately threw out a jab with his left hand, the one fitted with the claw mechanism.

The moment Alec saw the attack coming, the first thought that crossed his mind was that Takeda was finally getting restless.

He didn’t know why Takeda was like that, but he was fully prepared to drag the fight out for as long as possible.

So instead of retreating, Alec stepped in closer, he used his right palm to knock Takeda’s attack off course while sending an upward palm strike toward Takeda’s face using his left palm.

Takeda reacted instantly, moving his right hand to block his own counter. However, the moment he did, a compressed gravity cutter twisted around his hand like an invisible grinder.

Takeda shouted in pain and immediately tried to headbutt Alec.

However; Alec only leaned back slightly before swinging his own claws horizontally.

This time, the attack connected, digging deep into Takeda’s neck.

Takeda then started to choke, but he still refused to stop retreat instantly, he sent out a palm strike, which Alec blocked by raising his free hand into a high guard.

Even though Takeda had failed to truly injure Alec, he still managed to force him back slightly, creating a bit of distance between them again.

He quickly placed his free hand glazing with flames over his neck to stop the bleeding while using his left hand to call back his katana.

The weapon, which wasn’t far away, levitated through the air before returning to his grasp.

Seeing Takeda trying to deal with his wounds only motivated Alec further. He dashed forward, intending to finish the battle as quickly as possible.

They exchanged several moves in rapid succession, with Takeda swinging his sword while Alec narrowly avoided the attacks.

Alec would then counter with claw slashes, which Takeda blocked, but as the exchange continued, Alec finally realized something important, Takeda was slowing down.

They separated again after another clash between Alec’s claws and Takeda’s sword.

This time, Alec drew his bone katana resting to his waist region.

During all their earlier exchanges, he had been observing carefully, and now he had figured it out. Despite Takeda’s overwhelming strength, Alec was still confident he could take him down with superior swordsmanship.

He could literally see countless flaws in Takeda’s strikes, especially with his energy eyes open, it was almost as if the eyes were predicting where Takeda’s attacks would go the moment he raised his sword, reading the flow of his mana before the strike even came.

“Ahhh!”

Takeda shouted as he swung his sword out, but Alec held his bone katana in an inverse grip with his right hand, allowing Takeda’s blade to slide off his own.

While this was happening, Alec was already sliding low across the ground, just before he fully bypassed Takeda, he made a sharp U-turn, and i

his left hand was a small dagger, which he plunged deep into Takeda’s right thigh.
