Cultivation Begins with Daily Intelligence Reports

154: Future planningLin Lingshan looked around, making sure no one was eavesdropping, then leaned into Lin Jingyu’s ear and said with an excited voice:

”Excluding those seven precious mid-grade spirit stones, the low-grade spirit stones alone piled up like a small mountain, a total of over six thousand two hundred pieces.

And there were thirteen storage bags left by those bastards from the Liu family, all packed to the brim.

Magical artifacts! High-quality elixirs! Stacks of talismans! Miscellaneous ores and materials!

All in all, I counted on my fingers again and again, and the most conservative estimate is that the total value definitely exceeds thirteen thousand spirit stones!”

He took a deep breath, as if choked by the enormous figure, his eyes gleaming like a hungry wolf spotting a plump sheep.

”Thirteen thousand spirit stones! In the past, our Lin family couldn’t accumulate this much even in a hundred years!

It’s enough for our entire clan to live comfortably for decades! This... this is truly an immense fortune that has fallen upon us!”

He rubbed his hands, excited like a child, pacing around the courtyard.

With so many spirit stones, even if they were used to forcefully cultivate with elixirs, they could produce several cultivators at the seventh level of Qi Refinement.

The rise of the Lin family is just around the corner.

Thirteen thousand spirit stones!

Even though Lin Jingyu was mentally prepared, his heart couldn’t help but pound a few times. This was indeed a huge sum, enough to transform the Lin family!

It was almost equivalent to the entire assets of an ordinary early-stage Foundation Establishment cultivator!

A wave of immense joy surged, but in an instant, he forcefully suppressed it. Wealth was merely a tool; how to use it was the key.

He looked at Lin Lingshan, whose face was flushed with excitement, and asked in a calm voice:

”Uncle Lingshan, this sum of spirit stones is extraordinary. You are the head of the family, how do you think... it should be allocated and used?”

He respectfully handed the decision-making power back to the nominal family head.

No matter what decision Uncle Lingshan made, he would fully support it.

Upon hearing this, the excitement on Lin Lingshan’s face instantly receded. Without any hesitation, he waved his hand decisively, his eyes filled with immense trust and entrustment, and said firmly:

”Jingyu! You’re being too polite! What family head?

Without you, let alone spirit stones, our Lin family’s ancestral hall would have been torn down today, and not even a trace of our bones would be left!

This immense fortune was earned for the Lin family by you, with your life and your mind!

How to use it, you decide!

Uncle will only take care of one thing—being your enforcer, guarding the home! Whoever dares to mess with the rules you set, I’ll be the first to twist off their head!

Just go ahead and do it! Uncle trusts you!”

He knew that he was good at charging into battle, but when it came to strategizing and planning for development, ten of him combined couldn’t compare to this meticulous and resourceful nephew in front of him.

For the Lin family to truly rise, all hope rested on this young man.

For him, being a mindless guardian was more suitable.

Originally, becoming the family head was forced upon him, and later he was preoccupied with cultivation, allowing the Grand Elder to control the Lin family’s lifeline.

It ended up in a complete mess.

If not for the wrong timing, he would have directly passed on the position of family head to Lin Jingyu.

Lin Jingyu felt this heavy, unreserved trust, and his heart warmed, as if a warm current flowed through his limbs and bones.

He no longer declined, nodding heavily, his eyes becoming sharp and resolute:

”Alright! Since Uncle Lingshan trusts me, I won’t be coy.”

He led Lin Lingshan into the inner room, closed the door tightly, and by the dim light of the oil lamp, dipped his finger in the leftover tea in the cup, and began drawing on the rough wooden table:

”The most urgent task is to strengthen our foundation and enhance the family’s core strength.”

”Firstly, if the spiritual eye can be activated, with the spiritual energy feeding back, the quality of the entire family’s blessed land will improve, and the cultivation speed of the clansmen will double. This is the foundation for generations! This expenditure may be huge, but it must be prioritized... He had also told Lin Lingshan everything about the spiritual eye.

After all, the subsequent Spirit Gathering Array also needed to be set up throughout the clan, and the spiritual energy from the spiritual land in the ancestral hall also needed to be gathered here to ensure the activation of the spiritual eye.

And he wanted to take Lin Lingshan to see the underground secret chamber.

But Lin Lingshan decisively refused, trusting Lin Jingyu’s decision.

”...Secondly, the cultivation resources for the clansmen must keep up! The days of being stingy are gone forever! Qi Gathering Pills, healing medicines, spirit foods for strengthening the foundation, will be openly supplied to cultivators who have hope of advancing!

We must let all clansmen see hope and feel the benefits brought by the family’s revitalization!

Thirdly, defense!

If not for the deterrent power of the ’Senior Thunder Cultivator’ today, the consequences would have been unimaginable! We must acquire a powerful family protection array to cover the core area, one that can at least withstand the fierce attacks of late-stage Qi Refinement cultivators!

Just like the Liu family’s three combined arrays, even an early-stage Foundation Establishment cultivator couldn’t do anything, allowing them to develop peacefully.

Fourthly, sort out industries, increase revenue and reduce expenditure, and develop our own industries...”

Lin Jingyu was clear and methodical, listing item by item, like a general strategizing.

Lin Lingshan nodded repeatedly, his face showing complete relief and genuine admiration. What Jingyu thought was far more profound than him! This was truly a long-term plan for the family!

When mentioning family industries, the joy on Lin Lingshan’s face faded, his brows furrowed into a knot, and anger rose in his eyes:

”Jingyu, there’s another vexing matter weighing on my heart!

Our Lin family’s biggest income comes from those two mineral veins in Blackwater Valley! One produces fine iron ore, which is good raw material for refining artifacts, and the other produces 황온옥 (Yellow Warm Jade), which is warm and nourishing to the spirit, and even more valuable!

That hateful old dog Lin Chenghai!

To curry favor with the Liu family, he secretly leased the mining rights to the Liu family for a long term at a price so cheap it was almost free.

And he signed a damn unfair contract! Now that we’ve completely fallen out with the Liu family, given their vindictive nature, those two mineral veins are ninety-nine percent likely to be directly seized by them, cutting off our financial lifeline.

Damn it, just thinking about it makes me furious!”

Lin Jingyu’s eyes turned cold, like tempered ice, but his tone remained as steady as a deep abyss:

”Uncle Lingshan, don’t get agitated.

I know about those two mineral veins; they are deeply buried, the mine tunnels are complex, mining is difficult, and the investment is considerable.

Currently, the Liu family has just suffered a great loss at our hands, their reputation is ruined, and their losses are heavy.

Their young master, Liu Chengcai, is probably full of hatred and fear right now, busy licking his wounds, and may not have the courage to immediately turn hostile, after all, even a core disciple of the Qinglan Sect returned defeated from our Lin family.

Of course, we don’t need to rush. What we need to do now is to first settle our family affairs, let our clansmen catch their breath, recover their vitality, thoroughly clean up internally, and truly raise our strength!

Once our foundation is stable, and we stand tall...”

He paused, his voice not loud, but like the clashing of cold iron, carrying a bone-chilling coldness and an undeniable resolve:

”...Whatever belongs to the Lin family, whoever swallowed it, must spit it out with double the principal and interest! If the Liu family dares to eat it, I’ll knock out all their teeth!”

Lin Lingshan looked at the surging cold glint beneath Lin Jingyu’s calm eyes, as if he saw the future where the Lin family truly stood tall and proud, and the stale air in his chest was swept away. He slapped his thigh heavily, making the oil lamp on the table sway:

”Good! Excellent! Uncle loves to hear that! I trust you! We’ll proceed steadily, step by step!”
