Cultivation Simulator: Starting From The Empress' Palace

The upper-grade spirit medicines Chen Mo needed were the Cyan Spirit Vine and Phoenix Feather Grass. The two herbs were crushed into juice for a medicinal bath.

”How much do you need?” the Elder responsible for the spirit medicine exchange asked.

”What’s the price?” Chen Mo inquired.

”One portion of Cyan Wood Vine costs eight points, and one Phoenix Feather Grass costs seven points,” the Elder replied.

Chen Mo was shocked: ”So expensive, it’s even more than a high-level Yellow Tier divine technique.”

The Elder gave Chen Mo a sidelong glance: ”Divine techniques can be reused, but spirit medicines are consumables; they deplete with use. If you have points, stop wasting time with this old man.”

To refine organs, one portion of each is definitely not enough.

He still had forty-eight points remaining and could exchange for three portions of each.

However, he was worried that even three portions might not be enough.

At this moment, he suddenly remembered that the sect’s issued books mentioned that besides obtaining points by taking on tasks at the Divine Light Hall, spirit stones could also be exchanged for points.

He asked, ”Elder, what’s the exchange rate between spirit stones and points?”

After acquiring Long Jie’s Qiankun Ring, Chen Mo had over two thousand low-grade spirit stones in his possession.

”Ten low-grade spirit stones for one point,” the Elder said.

”Robbery!” Chen Mo’s eyes widened, and he silently cursed in his heart.

No choice, since spirit medicines from the Medicine Hall could only be exchanged for points, he had to endure the daylight robbery to get points.

”Exchange one thousand five hundred low-grade spirit stones,” Chen Mo waved his hand grandly, placing a mound of low-grade spirit stones like a small mountain in front of the Elder.

After exchanging for one hundred fifty points, Chen Mo now had one hundred ninety-eight points.

Chen Mo exchanged for ten portions each of the Cyan Spirit Vine and Phoenix Feather Grass, spending one hundred fifty points.

...

After exchanging for what he wanted, Chen Mo returned to the Suoxian Courtyard.

Back in his room, Chen Mo took out a wooden barrel from the Qiankun Ring and brought water from outside.

After heating it with True Qi, Chen Mo crushed one portion of Cyan Wood Vine and Phoenix Feather Grass, mixing them into the wooden barrel. Once the clear water turned jade green, Chen Mo stripped naked and soaked himself in it.

Finally, according to the True Explanation of the Minor Profound Technique’s method for cultivating refining the organs, Chen Mo needed to absorb all the medicinal effects through soaking.

Chen Mo followed the instructions one by one.

Compared to the torture of refining the skin and bones before, refining the organs was not painful at all. When the medicinal water was absorbed into the body, it felt warm, like steaming in a sauna.

Seeing this, Chen Mo multitasked by taking out the sect-issued books to continue reading the parts he hadn’t finished.

In the Shenxiao Sect, the use of points encompassed various aspects.

Even magical artifacts could be exchanged with points.

However, the prices were extremely high, with an initial grade magical artifact costing two hundred points.

A middle-grade magical artifact was five hundred points.

An upper-grade magical artifact was directly four times that, at two thousand points.

Of course, being able to exchange was one thing.

There were prices, but no stock.

Once these magical artifacts were displayed, they were immediately exchanged.

Among them, direct disciples had priority in exchange.

Then, it was the inner sect disciples’ turn, followed by the outer sect disciples.

So for outer sect disciples, even if you had enough points, you couldn’t exchange for magical artifacts.

There were also herbs.

For spirit medicines and treasure medicines, because of the quantity, outer sect disciples with enough points could exchange for them.

But for holy medicines, due to their rarity, once exchange was open, direct disciples had first priority, then the inner sect, and finally the outer sect.

...

The entire book allowed Chen Mo to understand what benefits could be enjoyed by becoming a direct disciple of the Shenxiao Sect.

Time flew by.

Three days passed.

As expected, three portions of Cyan Spirit Vine and Phoenix Feather Grass were not enough.

Chen Mo spent five portions without completing the refining, but fortunately, he had exchanged for ten portions back then.

The Outer Sect Disciple Conference was less than a week away.

This period should be enough for him to complete the refining.

...

The time for the Outer Sect Disciple Conference was drawing closer.

The rules for this Outer Sect Disciple Conference had also been exposed in advance.

According to the rules, the Outer Sect Disciple Conference was divided into three rounds.

The first round was the elimination round, also called the grand melee.

Because there were many outer sect disciples, numbering over forty thousand.

If it were to be conducted one-on-one, the conference would never end.

So the first-round elimination was just a screening.

Every three hundred people entered the arena, not allowed to use magical artifacts, and not allowed to consume elixirs. Once the match started, whoever exited would lose, and there were designated people to count.

There was a single stick of incense time limit, and only ten people would be allowed to advance in the end.

If at the end of the stick of incense, there were more than ten people remaining, all would be disqualified.

The second round was a ring match.

The disciples advancing from the first round just needed to win three matches in a row on the ring to advance.

The third round was the one-on-one finals.

The advancing disciples from the second round began one-on-one battles, with the winner advancing and the loser entering the elimination pool to determine the most accurate ranking.

Killing was prohibited during the competition; although violators would not be punished with life for life, they would lose thirty years of cultivation resources, with certain restrictions in point exchanges as well.

The reason for such rules was mainly because, in such competitions, mistakes are bound to happen, and losing a life for this was clearly inappropriate, so resource deductions were used as punishment.

Regarding these competition rules, many outer sect disciples groaned in dissatisfaction.

Because it completely eliminated the possibility of muddling through.

Even some strong disciples showed serious faces.

The second round of the ring match required three consecutive wins.

After the first round of filtering, those advancing to the second round were all strong outer sect disciples, with not much difference in strength.

Winning one match was already extremely difficult, let alone winning three in a row, which was exceedingly hard.

After all, upon finishing one match, the True Qi would certainly be depleted. Continuing with a second match already put one at a disadvantage.

If one managed to win by luck, by the third match, they would probably already be at the end of their strength.

...

Somewhere in the outer sect, within a pavilion.

”Haha, with this competition mode, that kid is doomed even if he can defeat Song Jun.”

”Everything is arranged, in the grand melee of the first round, nearly half of the people in Chen Mo’s match are ours. I’ve informed everyone to attack Chen Mo then. I don’t believe he alone can defeat so many of us, and even if we beat him to death, with so many of us, what can the sect do? They can’t punish us all, might not even deduct our cultivation resources.”

”Right, right, that kid is doomed, for daring to kill Senior Brother Long’s younger brother.”

”I heard that kid has a top-grade magical artifact on him, that’ll be ours then.”

”Useless, without the exclusive activation technique, it’s still unusable even if we get it.”

...

The night before the Outer Sect Disciple Conference.

Suoxian Courtyard.

”Who would have thought, after refining the organs, it even enhanced the Qilin Heart.”
