Cultivation Simulator: Starting From The Empress' Palace

Chen Mo is a subordinate of Xiao Yunqi.

It’s completely normal for a subordinate to visit their superior.

Xiao Yunxi didn’t think much about it and said, ”Father... is he alright?”

With so many people around, Chen Mo couldn’t say much and replied, ”Your Highness should go and see for yourself.”

Chen Mo bowed and made a gesture of invitation.

Xiao Yunxi contained her excitement at seeing Chen Mo again, nodded, and headed towards the mansion accompanied by the Palace Maid, Xiao Mansion’s steward, and others.

Just one step away, Xiao Yunxi turned back and said, ”Since General Chen Hong left Bianliang, we haven’t seen each other for a long time. General Chen Hong should come too, I have some things to say to General Chen Hong later.”

Zhao Fujin glanced at Chen Mo secretly, her eyes filled with joy.

”Yes.” Chen Mo cupped his hands and followed by the side.

Upon arriving at Xiao Yunqi’s room, Xiao Teng only allowed Xiao Yunxi to go in alone.

No one knew what was said, but Xiao Yunxi came out after two quarters of an hour, covering her face with a handkerchief, softly sobbing.

Zhao Fujin quickly came forward to comfort her.

Afterwards, Xiao Teng asked Zhao Fujin to enter.

Zhao Fujin came out in less than a quarter of an hour, looking downcast.

Xiao Yunqi was her maternal grandfather and treated her well. Seeing him in such poor health, Zhao Fujin felt extremely sorrowful.

After Zhao Fujin came out, the mother and daughter embraced each other, comforting one another.

Xiao Yunxi then said, ”Fujin, you haven’t been to the Xiao Mansion for a long time, have you? I hear the lotus flowers in the backyard are blooming. Accompany your mother to have a look and relax a bit.”

In closing, she glanced at Chen Mo: ”You come along too.”

”Yes.” Chen Mo nodded, maintaining his decorum.

...

The Xiao Mansion is three times the size of the Chen Mansion, and there is an artificial lake in the backyard.

The lotus flowers usually bloom between June and September, gradually opening in June and July, thriving most in August. Now in September, the lotuses are wilting, but many are still in full bloom.

The white, pink, purple, and yellow flowers are quite beautiful.

A pavilion has been built in the middle of the lake, with a path leading to it.

Upon arrival, Xiao Yunxi first used the excuse of needing ice to cool down and tea refreshments to send Xiao Qing’er and the palace maids away. Later, using the pretext of Zhao Fujin wanting to visit her grandmother, she sent Zhao Fujin away as well.

After confirming that there was no one else around, Xiao Yunxi lightly tapped Chen Mo’s shoulder and then, with mock anger, said, ”You fool, since our farewell at Qingxin Lake, you haven’t come to Weiyang Palace to see me.”

Her tap ignited Chen Mo’s Heart Fire, leaving him somewhat breathless.

Without another word, Chen Mo lifted her up and placed her on the pavilion’s railing.

Xiao Yunxi squealed, quickly protecting her phoenix coronet, and scolded, ”Put... put me down. If the coronet falls, it could...”

Before she finished speaking, Chen Mo sealed her red lips, greedily claiming everything from her.

His hands skillfully ventured over her body.

The clothes interference seemed inaccurate to Chen Mo, so his hands moved... into her phoenix dress...

”Mmm...”

Xiao Yunxi held onto her coronet with one hand and wrapped her other arm around Chen Mo’s neck, preventing herself from falling into the lake, leaving no chance to resist Chen Mo’s advances, her defenses breached completely.

Several times she nearly ran out of breath. Chen Mo allowed her to catch a few breaths before kissing her again.

The coronet on her head was already removed, placed on the table behind her by Chen Mo.

After another deep kiss, Chen Mo released her lips, kissed her forehead, and held her in his embrace.

Xiao Yunxi leaned against Chen Mo’s chest, gasping for air. The intense kisses made her feel as if dying, yet she didn’t resist them; rather, she felt it was a deep expression of Chen Mo’s love for her, knowing she could still captivate him.

Publicly, of course, she couldn’t show any of that, or else he would surely tease her relentlessly in the future.

After regaining her composure, she slapped his shoulder a few times, venting her inner frustration, mumbling ”bastard, rascal, scoundrel...” repeatedly.

Unbeknownst to her, her blouse had already been undone, and her undergarment was missing, causing her chest to rise and fall, inadvertently revealing everything.

Chen Mo felt as if his nose might bleed.

Just as he was about to continue kissing her, he sensed someone approaching.

Given they’re at the Xiao Mansion and their relationship is sensitive, Chen Mo maintained heightened awareness from the moment they began kissing, constantly vigilant of the surroundings.

He swiftly grabbed the phoenix coronet from the table behind and placed it on Xiao Yunxi’s head, then released her, saying, ”Your Highness, quick, someone is coming.”

Hearing this, Xiao Yunxi was filled with fear, embarrassment, disgrace, and awkwardness as she hastily attempted to gather herself while facing away from where the person was coming from.

However, midway through tidying up, she realized something was wrong.

The undergarment, where’s the undergarment?

She glanced down and found the undergarment on the ground.

Just as she was about to pick it up, Chen Mo stepped in: ”No time.”

Saying this, he crumpled up the undergarment and stuffed it into his bosom.

Xiao Yunxi’s embarrassment was undeniable, but given the circumstances, she didn’t have time to dwell on it. She finally tidied up before the palace maids appeared on the path leading to the pavilion.

”Your Highness, the refreshments are here,” the palace maid respectfully announced.

”Just leave them,” Xiao Yunxi said, back to the maids, trying to calm herself while her face was still noticeably red, needing time to cool down.

The palace maid dared not ask more, said ”Yes,” and stepped aside, awaiting further orders.

Chen Mo then similarly pretended to respond, ”I understand, Your Highness.”

And then cupped his hands, preparing to take his leave.

But he was stopped by Xiao Yunxi, asking him to wait a moment.

Soon, Xiao Qing’er also came, holding a wooden box in her hands.

Xiao Yunxi handed the box to Chen Mo.

”Your Highness, what is this?” Chen Mo said as he was about to open it.

But Xiao Yunxi suddenly turned, placing a hand on the box, stopping Chen Mo from opening it. After calming down, the flush on her face mostly faded away; though some redness remained, it wouldn’t arouse any suspicion.

”General Chen Hong has worked hard quelling the rebellion for the Imperial Court. This is a token of my esteem; I hope General Chen Hong likes it.”

”Your Highness is generous; it is my honor to receive your gift, which I of course like,” Chen Mo replied with a bow and smile, not intending to open the box further.

Xiao Yunxi nodded, then muttered to herself, ”Why hasn’t Fujin come over yet? I’ll go check.”

Chen Mo also took the opportunity to leave.

Upon leaving the Xiao Mansion, Chen Mo felt his heart racing, almost as if it were about to leap out of his chest.

He looked at the box in his hands, eagerly wanting to open it, but decided against it for now.

No need to rush, I’ll check it when I return to the mansion.
