Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1554: Chapter 1569: Being a Bridesmaid

Nowadays, An Ran is already very grateful that she can consider herself a friend, and even come over to explain things to her.

Since Wang Xiaoyi proactively shifted the topic, An Ran didn’t continue, and picked up a piece of clothing to compare on herself, ”Xiaoyi, honestly, the clothes here are all so beautiful. I think each piece looks great. Are they really designed by you?”

She knew Wang Xiaoyi had talent in this area, but didn’t expect her to be so sensitive to fashion. The clothes here are fashionable without being excessive. They follow popular trends, have decent craftsmanship and materials, yet are very affordable.

It’s no wonder there are so many customers as soon as she opened.

”Most of them are designed by me, along with contributions from colleagues in the studio. How about this one? If you like it, I’ll gift it to you,” Wang Xiaoyi compared a cream-white knitted dress on An Ran, her eyes brightening immediately.

An Ran also thought it was nice and chuckled, ”Then I won’t be polite, thanks Xiaoyi.”

”There’s no need for you to thank me, silly. You’re the Young Madam of the Mu Family. Wearing my brand is like giving me free advertising, I should be thanking you instead.”

Wang Xiaoyi shook her head and gave her a knowing look.

An Ran naturally understood the influence socialites and wealthy ladies bring to a clothing brand. However, she hasn’t used her identity as Mu Family’s Young Madam to attend any events till now. Even if she gets married, she’d rarely use her title on such occasions since she still has to go to school. Wang Xiaoyi’s words were merely to put her at ease.

Seeing it was almost mealtime, Wang Xiaoyi greeted the shop attendant and took An Ran to the hot pot place across the street.

Back in the day, a few of them together understood each other’s hobbies, just like this small hot pot place, a shared favorite of An Ran, Xiao Xiao, and Wang Xiaoyi.

Knowing An Ran can’t eat spicy food, Wang Xiaoyi ordered a yuan-yang pot right away.

Looking at the soup filled with red oil and chili peppers, An Ran swallowed her saliva.

”Xiaoyi, it’s the first time knowing you’re such a spicy eater.”

In her impression, An Ran had hot pot with Mu Xingfeng once, and only he could handle such spicy flavors. Previously with Wang Xiaoyi, she knew she could tolerate spiciness but didn’t expect her to be so fierce.

Wang Xiaoyi added meat slices to the spicy soup while speaking, ”I used to tolerate spiciness, but later..., later after moving to the Imperial City, I started liking spicy food. When you’re upset, eating spicy makes you forget troubles. Why don’t you give it a try?”

Saying this, Wang Xiaoyi lifted the meat she had just retrieved from the chili oil.

An Ran shook her head, ”No need, it would cost me my life.”

Wang Xiaoyi didn’t mind, dipped the meat back in the spicy sauce, and put it in her mouth. Her lips, stained ruby by lipstick, were now shining with the chili sauce, making her small mouth appear even more seductive.

Even though Wang Xiaoyi accidentally paused her words, An Ran still caught on. The ”later” she mentioned must be referring to that incident.

That incident brought her unforgettable pain, which An Ran knew. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have parted ways with Tian Zhiyuan, wouldn’t have developed a spicy addiction, nor would such an expression cross her eyebrows inadvertently.

Similarly, this matter became an insurmountable hurdle in An Ran’s heart.

She didn’t continue the topic and took out the invitation she had prepared before, handing it over.

”Xiaoyi, make sure to come over for New Year’s Day. You promised to be my bridesmaid, you can’t go back on your word.”
