Reborn Divine Doctor: The Abandoned Girl's Legend

Chapter 1229: Chapter 289: Transformation Pill, Transformed Demon Beast

Ye Lingyue’s shout in the quiet Hong Meng Heaven was like spring thunder hitting the ground, startling the dewdrops on the leaves, making them tremble and fall to the earth.

Below the nearby river’s surface, fish of various colors hurriedly sank to the bottom.

Batu the Three-legged Birdman, upon hearing the summon from the new Queen, rushed over carrying his Slaughter God Bow, urgently gathering a group of Birdman Warriors to come.

”Your Majesty, are we fighting or killing?”

As it turns out, the Three-legged Birdman is also a brave and belligerent demon beast group.

Although they’ve lived in Hong Meng Heaven free from external threats in recent years, the battle-loving gene in their blood hasn’t faded.

Added to that, Ye Lingyue’s unrelenting training with them, and the recent incident with Huangquan City and Chairman Jin, had awakened the warriors’ passion, including Batu’s.

The moment they heard the Queen’s summons, they all rubbed their fists with excitement, ready to tear the enemy to shreds.

Ye Lingyue saw this and couldn’t help but chuckle.

”Ahem, Batu, put away your weapons; your Queen here quite loves peace. Brandishing swords and guns all day long, what does that look like?”

Ye Lingyue said seriously.

Batu and the Three-legged Birdmen couldn’t help but shiver.

Your Majesty, you must be joking; who was it last time that rushed in first and beat Chairman Jin so badly he was searching the ground for his teeth, and in one breath, killed more than a dozen Demon Hunters?

”Batu, come over here. I’ve refined a new type of elixir pill; it can transform a demon beast’s physique. Come try it.”

Ye Lingyue gestured at the blue elixir pill in her hand.

The warriors, including Batu, heard this and stepped back in fright.

They looked at the elixir pills in Ye Lingyue’s hand, about the size of pearls, as if seeing a divinity.

Again?

Counting the last time, the new Queen had refined so-called transformation elixirs at least fifty to sixty times already.

Each time, she’d round them up like conscripts to test the medicine.

The result was dire: upon consumption, everyone vomited and had diarrhea, losing weight from dehydration, with no changes to their demon bodies.

As the tests increased, each time the new Queen mentioned medicine, they’d shove each other before finally pushing the honest Batu forward.

Poor Batu had tested the medicine not less than fifty to sixty times.

Once, he even ate until he went into shock.

This time was no exception; Batu was pushed forward again.

”Your Majesty, Batu has elders and children; if anything happens...” Batu said, his face a mask of bitterness, accepting the elixir, he ate it.

As soon as he swallowed the elixir, Batu closed his eyes, awaiting his fate.

Unexpectedly, this time Batu’s stomach showed no reaction. Instead, his body, especially his back, emitted a sound like compressed bones.

Behind Batu, his large wings slowly shrank.

After about fifteen minutes, the wings shrank to the size of two fists, and then, after another fifteen minutes, the flesh shrank into a layer of shriveled skin.

Batu’s body, originally bearing the birdman traits like feathers, also began to molt, not only the feathers and wings; Batu’s body structure experienced some changes.

Ultimately, Batu appeared no different from an average human male in his twenties or thirties.

”Changed... changed?”

Batu touched his wingless back incredulously, momentarily unsure how to react.

”It seems the Transformation Pill’s effect is quite successful.”

Ye Lingyue nodded in satisfaction.

This newly refined elixir was called the Transformation Pill.

Recently, she combined a recipe left by Jade Hand Poison Master, made some improvements, and added a portion of White Tripod Breath to the elixir pills.

Unexpectedly, the pills truly enabled the Three-legged Birdmen to transform into human form.

Always, the half-bird, half-human physiological traits of the Three-legged Birdmen were a flaw in Ye Lingyue’s view.

She once promised the Three-legged Birdman Queen that she would let the Three-legged Birdmen live normally like common people someday.

To hide in Hong Meng Heaven was merely a temporary measure.

With the Transformation Pill, this problem could finally be thoroughly solved.

Ye Lingyue decided to let the first batch of birdman warriors, including Batu, enter Huangquan City to live.

She believed the Huangquan City Lord wouldn’t object.

However, refining the Transformation Pill wasn’t easy; even Ye Lingyue could only refine five pills in three days and nights.

For thousands of Three-legged Birdmen to transform successfully would take some time.

”Congratulations, boss, you finally succeeded in refining pills.”

Little Wuya, who had cleared toxins from her body, walked out of the thatched cottage, holding Little Zhiyo.

”Boss, I also want one of those.”

”Master, can I have one too?”

Little Zhiyo, upon seeing Batu transform from birdman to human, became interested.

Little Evil Rabbit was also eager.

Unlike Little Wuya with Divine Beast bloodline, they both lacked the ability to transform.

They dreamed of being able to transform into human form.

Especially Little Zhiyo, who always felt that being just a small beast every day and being held by Little Wuya, his ”little wife,” harmed his masculine image.

Seeing the drooling eagerness of the two little beasts, Ye Lingyue smiled and tossed two elixirs to them.

”Consider yourselves lucky, but let me warn you first, this elixir is just a prototype and may not be effective for everyone.”

The two little beasts nodded enthusiastically and quickly swallowed the pills.

However, after waiting a quarter-hour, two quarters-hour, not even the color of their fur changed, let alone transformation.

”Ah, it seems this type of elixir is temporarily only effective for ordinary demon beasts.”

Ye Lingyue shrugged, showing helplessness.

This wasn’t surprising, as Little Zhiyo and Little Evil Rabbit possessed a mysterious Desert Beast constitution and Great Demon level demon beast bloodline, respectively. Jade Hand Poison Master initially tested the Transformation Pill only on low-level demon beasts; inefficacy was not unexpected.

However, further advancing her knowledge of elixirs or finding more Jiu Provinces Cauldron Fragments might enable her to refine higher-level Transformation Pills. When that time comes, their transformation will be imminent.

”Thank the Queen for the elixir, Batu represents all Three-legged Birdmen in thanking the Queen for her great kindness. Besides the elixir, I have another matter to report. Today, Hong Meng Heaven has changed; its scope has expanded further.”

Batu said aside.

”Oh, it’s expanded again, quickly take me to see.”

Ye Lingyue perked up with interest, urging Batu to lead her to check it out.
