Reborn Divine Doctor: The Abandoned Girl's Legend

Chapter 1073: Chapter 133: The True Culprits Behind the Coup

The third group’s competition is still ongoing.

After Ye Lingyue secured the first match against Qin Xiaochuan, her momentum continued unabated in the remaining matches.

Having witnessed the power of Ye Lingyue’s black snake, many contestants chose to concede immediately upon facing her.

Despite losing the initial match, Qin Xiaochuan quickly readjusted his mindset and maintained a steady performance in the subsequent matches.

The two advanced together, ultimately bringing the entire third group’s competition to a close within two hours.

Ye Lingyue achieved five consecutive victories, topping the group, while Qin Xiaochuan secured four wins and one loss, coming in second.

Ye Lingyue became the third contestant to directly enter the top ten.

However, compared to the previous two, Ye Lingyue’s victory is undoubtedly more significant.

Simply because she is a miscellaneous servant.

A female servant who hadn’t studied the system of martial arts in the past two years.

When the results were announced, the entire scene erupted, yet one person’s face turned pale like white paper.

That was Elder Xue.

Won?

That female servant named Ye Lingyue actually won?

First, Ma Zhao was defeated by his own daughter in a Snow Peak squabble, and then Ye Lingyue clinched a victory, two blows within a single day left Elder Xue unable to stand firm.

The other contestants had already left the stage crestfallen.

Yet Ye Lingyue did not immediately return to the Wuya Peak’s seat; her eyes, like torches, were fixed upon Elder Xue.

”Elder Xue, the competition results have come out, and a few days ago, we set a bet. If I win and enter the top ten, you must resign as Elder of Snow Peak, is it not time to fulfill our wager?”

Elder Xue resign from the position at Snow Peak?

The hall instantly became chaotic; except for Master Wuya, the elders of the other peaks were all shocked.

”Ye Lingyue, don’t force me too much. What do you count for? Even if you entered the top ten, it doesn’t change the fact that you are a miscellaneous servant. You dare to demand this elder’s resignation, clearly it’s an act of insubordination.”

Elder Xue was furious with embarrassment.

”Elder Xue, do you mean you are unwilling to resign from your position as elder? Sect Leader, when we placed the bet, you were present as well, so I ask that you advocate for me.” Ye Lingyue said, bowing to Master Wuya.

She had long expected that someone like Elder Xue was bound to go back on his word.

Master Wuya also had a troubled expression.

He personally heard about the wager, it couldn’t be fake, but to really force Elder Xue to resign seemed excessive, and he couldn’t immediately find someone to replace Elder Xue.

Thinking it over for a moment, Master Wuya gently advised.

”Elder Xue, a gentleman’s word is his bond, once given, it cannot be taken back. But considering your years of labor as an elder of Snow Peak, even if there is no merit, there has been hard work. Ling Yue, Elder Xue is ultimately a senior of the sect, you as a junior should not be too aggressive. How about this, let me plea on Elder Xue’s behalf, as long as you don’t force Elder Xue to resign, you can make any request you desire.”

”Alright, I’ll give face to the Sect Leader.”

Ye Lingyue pondered and agreed.

Master Wuya’s expression eased, Elder Xue also transitioned from anger to joy, thinking to himself, just knew that little wench was only boasting for the moment, couldn’t possibly harm him.

”I can spare Elder Xue, but I demand Ma Zhao a life for a life, personally die and apologize at Mu Shuang’s grave.”

Ye Lingyue shouted fiercely.

”What! You want me to repay that female servant’s life, you’re dreaming!”

Ma Zhao exploded in anger upon hearing this.

”Ye Lingyue, don’t go too far. Senior Brother Ma’s status, and then what status that Mu Shuang has.” Hong Mingyue interrupted.

”Feiyue, thanks for the reminder, I’d almost forgotten, you and Ma Zhao are the culprits behind Mu Shuang’s death. You framed and forced Mu Shuang to death, all of you are guilty. Ma Zhao does not need to die, but you must both be expelled from the Lonely Moon Sea.”

Ye Lingyue sneered coldly.

She said in front of Mu Shuang’s tomb, she would make those who framed her pay in blood.

”Absurd, you, a female servant, where do you get the power to reprimand the core disciples of my Moon Peak? Besides, Mu Shuang’s theft was proven with clear evidence, she already admitted it herself. Lonely Moon Sea collected her corpse afterward, likewise showing all due leniency.” Elder Yue scolded angrily.

”Lies, Feiyue and Ma Zhao are lying, Mu Shuang never stole her earring at the time. I heard from several senior brothers at Snow Peak that the earring was an unwanted object by Feiyue, which Ma Zhao gifted to Mu Shuang while at the Refining Hall.” Suddenly spoke Xue Xuan, who had been watching coldly from the side.

Her words, like a small stone falling into a calm lake, instantly stirred up overwhelming waves.

Master Wuya and Elder Hua, along with others, had a grave expression.

Elder Yue was left speechless, unable to utter a single word.

”Xue Xuan, are you telling the truth?”

Master Wuya who personally witnessed Mu Shuang’s tragic death had always been disturbed by this matter.

”Xue Xuan, shut your mouth.”

Elder Xue’s mind went blank upon hearing this.

He never imagined his own daughter would state facts at such a time.

”I must speak, whether it’s true or not, you can ask the senior brothers. Back then, they were bribed by Ma Zhao to alter their testimony. Their conscience is unsettled, they’ve even dreamt of Mu Shuang returning to demand revenge.” The more Xue Xuan spoke, the more agitated she became.

”Outrageous. You are still speaking.” In a moment of urgency, Elder Xue slapped Xue Xuan.

With a slap, Xue Xuan held her face, she laughed bitterly.

”Father, you even hit me, and for your precious disciple, you’re willing to strike your own daughter.”

Elder Xue’s lips trembled, unable to say an extra word.

Looking again at the several disciples of Snow Peak, each appeared pale, kneeling with a thud.

”Sect Leader spare our lives, elders spare our lives, we... we were also forced.”

These people had earlier feared Ma Zhao’s retaliation, so they spoke falsely against their conscience.

But today, Ma Zhao’s defeat by Xue Xuan’s hand undoubtedly dethroned him from his pedestal. Additionally, Xue Xuan’s public exposure left them no room to hide. Honestly, they recounted the situation from the Refining Hall.

The more they spoke, the uglier Ma Zhao and Hong Mingyue’s faces became.

The disciples watching from Lonely Moon Sea looked at them with increasingly cold gazes.

”Ma Zhao, Feiyue, do you confess to your crimes?”

Master Wuya, inflamed with anger, shouted causing Feiyue and Ma Zhao to promptly kneel.

Feiyue glared fiercely at Xue Xuan.

This woman must be mad, she hated Ma Zhao, venting her love as hate, and now she dared to testify against them?

She is indeed mad.

Framing fellow disciples and causing someone’s death, such actions are more detestable than murder.

”Sect Leader, Ma Zhao and Feiyue are still young, it was in a moment of impulse that they committed such foolish acts. Please, Sect Leader, forgive them, don’t expel them from the Lonely Moon Sea.”

Elder Yue and Elder Xue pleaded.
