Naruto: Naraku Grows Stronger as a Beautiful, Tragic Side Character

Chapter 204: Chapter 204 No wonder Kakashi was in such a bad state just now

[No way... it absolutely can’t be what I’m thinking...!]

[Someone tell me this isn’t true!]

[Holy crap! Holy crap Danzo Shimura!! Holy crap, you motherf*****!!!!]

[Naraku pushed for cardiac arrest.]

[Kakashi is going to go crazy, isn’t he?!]

[Danzo Shimura, I want you dead!!! Ahhh—!!]

[Kakashi, Kana, Tsunade, Fugaku, Mikoto, Fūyō... Everyone will go crazy!]

[How lively Naraku was when he was alive... But now, only... an eye remains...?]

— —

Naraku:???... What a coincidence?

No wonder Kakashi was in such a bad state just now; he thought I not only died but even had an eye gouged out?

Well, that’s indeed a bit too much.

Naraku grimaced, thinking that once he woke up, he’d have to comfort Kakashi properly again, so the kid wouldn’t develop any issues from the shock.

That dog Danzo really has bad luck; no matter how many tomoe, he just had to put a Three Tomoe on himself. Now he can’t wash himself clean even if he jumps into the Yellow River; he deserves it.

The animation continued.

Almost everyone believed it was Naraku’s eye, and the Uchiha Clan Members roared, telling their Clan Head to kill that despicable scoundrel, Danzo.

Amidst the chaos, Danzo finally spoke under Tsunade’s death threat, denying that he had kidnapped any Uchiha children, and conveniently pushed all the blame onto Orochimaru.

Orochimaru, who had just arrived and was instantly burdened with an enormous accusation, remained very calm. Jiraiya ran over and put his arm around his good friend, not forgetting to egg Tsunade on.

But Kushina said they couldn’t kill him, otherwise, the brain in the corpse would be destroyed by Sealing Jutsu, and the children would never be found.

Everyone was at their wits’ end, and Fugaku was even considering whether or not to use ”Shinkō Kagami Gyō” to obtain the ”truth.”

Just then, a huge explosion sounded from afar. Everyone instinctively looked in the direction of the explosion, but only Danzo, in the shadows, closed his eyes and revealed a strange smile.

This episode ended with suspense.

[What??? Orochimaru???]

[Orochimaru couldn’t have really been involved, could he?!]

[Impossible! Our Orochimaru is a good person!]

[Speaking of which, Jiraiya’s mind becomes exceptionally clear whenever it concerns Orochimaru...]

[Wow! Snakey is finally here! So handsome~!]

[Orochimaru: My first appearance is to take the blame?]

[Can Danzo really not die?? (Frustrated)]

[What’s going on? Are other Villages attacking?]

[What did that old man Danzo do?]

[Holy crap! Could it be the place where the children are being held...?]

— —

Naraku excitedly rubbed his little hands: Here it comes, here it comes! It’s finally my turn to appear!

Skipping directly to the next episode, the perspective indeed left the center of Konoha and arrived at a dark, unknown corner.

— —

The scene was probably late at night. A tree branch lay horizontally in the middle of the forest. After a few seconds, a strange figure hurried past, making the branch suddenly spring up.

The person left only a back view and ran further away. The camera followed him, filming his arm, back, and footsteps, but never showing his face.

This segment only had the sound of footsteps, and occasionally, his cloak could be heard flapping in the wind.

[Who is this? Did I miss an episode?]

[Why did it suddenly jump here? Wasn’t I just watching the Konoha civil war?]

[Old Thief is teasing us again, so annoying.]

The scene continued from this person’s perspective until it reached the entrance of an underground base.

The audience saw ”themselves” draw a long ninja sword, stab sideways, then diagonally slash, cleanly dispatching two guards, and then quickly form hand signs, using a Lightning Release to blast open the gate.

Upon entering the base, the camera broke away from the first-person perspective and switched to a third-person view from mid-air, filming the intruder’s exquisite killing techniques.

The ninja sword in his hand seemed to have a life of its own, elegantly and swiftly brandished. Enemies often lost their lives to the sharp blade upon first contact, paving a red carpet for him with their blood.

He continued to kill all the way to the lowest level, so much blood dripping from his ninja sword that it continuously streamed onto the ground.

However, from beginning to end, the camera’s position was either too low, the angle was wrong, or something was obstructing it, so it never captured the intruder’s face.

Only his precise and deadly movements could be seen, as well as his not-so-tall body beneath the cloak.

Apparently having found the place, he put away his ninja sword and began forming hand signs in front of a heavy iron door.

[What exactly is going on?]

[Such incredibly awesome swordsmanship... Why does it feel so familiar?]

[I remember! Sakumo killed his way into Root just like this back then!]

[Holy crap (‵o′)convex, you’re right!]

— —

Naraku paused it. The figure on screen was indeed him, but the animator had made subtle adjustments to his appearance, concealing a few small details that animated audiences use to identify characters.

Coupled with the fact that his hair wasn’t tied up, and his clothes and accessories weren’t the styles he usually wore, this caused the audience to not recognize him immediately.

Perhaps with a closer look, a sharp-eyed ’Levin-Hooke’ might have noticed a clue, but when Naraku clicked to continue playing, the scene switched to another location.
