A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin

Chapter 572 - I’m Warning You!

As they sat on Jade Teapot Peak drinking wine, Ye Feng’s eyes lit up. He jumped into the air. “Hahaha! Big Brother, I’m going to meet my parents!”

Li Guanqi smiled and stood up. “Since it’s Ye Feng’s parents, let’s all go meet them together.”

They flew toward the Daxia Sword Sect’s boundary. Shen Lan had dragged Meng Wanshu to Heavenly Water Peak to teach her a few lessons from experience. Li Guanqi didn’t think much of it.

Outside the boundary, Ye Feng’s family waited anxiously. Since the Daxia Sword Sect had grown larger, their demand for pills had increased, so they no longer relied solely on the Qiongtai Mountain Residence.

However, Ye Tianying was content. They had accumulated considerable wealth over the past few years. He had broken through to the Nascent Soul Realm, and Ye Qing’er was at the late Golden Core Realm.

Two Daxia Sword Sect disciples eyed them suspiciously. In recent years, many people had falsely claimed to be disciples’ family members, causing significant trouble.

“Hey, kid, I really am Ye Feng’s father, Ye Tianying. Our Qiongtai Mountain Residence supplies part of the Daxia Sword Sect’s spirit herbs. Could you just pass the message, please?”

One of the youths frowned. “Senior, please wait here. I’ve already informed someone inside. We will receive a reply soon. Please understand.”

“Father, let’s wait for a while,” Ye Qing’er said. “It takes time for them to report to their superiors. We haven’t been to the Daxia Sword Sect before, so it’s normal that they don’t recognize us.”

Ye Qing’er had grown into a beautiful young woman. Her long dress couldn’t hide her graceful figure. She had an elegant face, with mischievous almond eyes, willowy brows, and a slightly upturned nose.

She could barely contain her excitement at the thought of seeing Ye Feng again. His current cultivation was incomparable to what it had been. The elders in the mountain residence had drunk themselves silly celebrating, going on about how Ye Feng had made a name for himself.

“Qing’er is right,” her mother said, smiling. “Let’s wait here. There’s nothing to worry about.”

Ye Qing’er smiled back, though a flash of heartache crossed her eyes. She knew her older brother was talented. However, Wu Bing had initially overshadowed him, and then Li Guanqi became famous across the land, outshining Ye Feng entirely.

“Hahaha! Father! Mother! Qing’er?!” Ye Feng shouted excitedly as he arrived in a flash.

He smiled and nodded at the other disciples before tearing open the boundary and leaping into his mother’s embrace. He pulled his father and sister close, hands trembling, tears welling in his eyes.

Su Xi and Ye Tianying’s eyes welled up with tears too. They had not seen him in many years, and all their longing welled up to the surface upon finally seeing him again.

Ye Tianying had once been thin, but over the last two years, he had grown a little plump. He punched Ye Feng’s back and huffed, “You brat! You didn’t even send us a letter while you were out there! Do you have any idea how worried your mother and I were? She cried so hard she nearly went blind! If Guanqi hadn’t assured us that you were fine, I would’ve thought you died out there!”

But even as he scolded Ye Feng, tears streamed down his face. His voice softened into a murmur. “But it’s good that you’re back... It’s good that you’re back.”

Su Xi, usually elegant, was sobbing too hard to speak. There was so much to say, but nothing came out. She just held Ye Feng tightly and wiped her tears, terrified he might disappear the moment she let go.

Ye Qing’er’s eyes reddened as she looked at her brother. The past two years hadn’t been easy for their parents. They had missed Ye Feng terribly, and she would occasionally hear quiet sobs and sighs coming from their room. Now, not only had Ye Feng returned, but his cultivation and strength had skyrocketed.

She felt no arrogance or pride in his achievements, nor did she ever think that her brother’s status might protect her. All she felt was heartache. From the moment she began cultivating, she had worked day and night without rest. She had reached her current level only through sheer hard work and the support of her family’s newfound wealth. On top of that, she had a double spirit root, with one element being subtle, making it a False Heavenly Spirit Root.

It was hard to believe that Ye Feng, who had left the Daxia Sword Sect at only the Golden Core Realm, had grown to the Illusory Refinement Realm in just a few short years.

She buried her head in Ye Feng’s chest, vision blurry from tears, shoulders trembling. “Big Brother... aren’t you tired?”

Ye Feng’s eyes were already red. He snapped his head up, and tears fell from the corners of his eyes. His nose twitched, and he pursed his lips, patting their backs gently. “I’m not tired. When I am, I just think of you guys. Then... I’m not tired anymore.”

The warmth of their reunion moved everyone present. Even Cao Yan and Xiao Chen’s eyes reddened. Cao Yan had lacked parental love since childhood, and the first time he’d felt real concern and care was from Li Guanqi. And though Xiao Chen had a good relationship with his parents, the atmosphere at home left him feeling suffocated.

Li Guanqi composed himself. He felt that same longing stirring in his own chest, and it was painful. He wiped his eyes and smiled. “Uncle Ye, Aunt Su, let’s talk inside. We can’t welcome you properly out here.”

Ye Qing’er stepped out from behind Ye Feng. Her eyes were a little red, with streaks of tears across her face and beads of moisture on her long eyelashes. She looked pitiful.

Cao Yan turned and noticed Xiao Chen standing still. Xiao Chen suddenly looked down, then tossed his long hair flirtatiously. He strode up to Ye Feng and stuck out his hand. In a low, magnetic voice, he asked, “Second Brother-in-Law, aren’t you going to introduce your younger sister?”

Li Guanqi, Cao Yan, and Ye Feng’s mouths twitched.

Ye Feng slapped Xiao Chen’s hand away. “Stay away from my sister!”
