A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin

Meanwhile, at the Mo family residence in Lou Gorge, Mo Zhiyuan furiously yelled, “Where the hell is my older brother? None of you know?!”

Boom!

A deafening crash resounded in Mo Zhiyuan’s mind. He shot to his feet, trembling slightly, his eyes wide. His icy glare softened into tears. Then, he collapsed into his chair, his expression hollow, as if his soul had left him.

The sudden shift frightened everyone below. They rushed forward at once, their voices overlapping in panic.

“Patriarch! Are you alright?”

“Patriarch! Take care of yourself!”

No answer.

Boom!

A powerful aura erupted from him, flinging the surrounding elders backward. Pale-faced and trembling, Mo Zhiyuan blazed with power. His vacant eyes stared ahead as he muttered, “Big Brother... is dead...”

Boom!

The words struck like thunder. Several elders hung their heads, horrified.

“Mo Yanshan is dead!”

“Who killed him? What happened?!”

Everyone knew how close the two brothers had been. Mo Yanshan had never married, and he treated Mo Congyun like his own son. When Mo Congyun was killed, Mo Yanshan had left home, and no one had been able to contact him since.

Then Mo Zhiyuan suddenly declared that Mo Yanshan was dead.

A white-haired elder sighed inwardly. This is going to escalate.

As expected, Mo Zhiyuan’s eyes burned with fury. With a sweep of his hand, he roared, “Pass down my order! Gather every family member and elder. We will point our blades at the Daxia Sword Sect! If that bastard doesn’t appear, we’ll raze them to the ground! Spread the word!”

All the elders’ faces tightened. None of them had expected Mo Zhiyuan to act so recklessly. The white-haired elder could not help but step forward. “Patriarch... If we do that, the Northern Heavenly King, Long Qu, will be displeased. If he intervenes—”

Mo Zhiyuan cut him off with a cold snort. “Even if the Northern Heavenly King himself gets involved, I’ll pay whatever price it takes! Li Guanqi must die!”

Mo Zhiyuan’s furious voice echoed across all of Lou Gorge. “All Mo Family members, listen up! Gather up and aim your swords at the Daxia Sword Sect in the Northern Territory!”

“Yes, Patriarch!”

Boom!

The weather in Lou Gorge shifted in an instant, and rain poured down onto the Mo Family residence.

Mo Zhiyuan walked into a secret chamber. His gaze fell on two shattered jade slips, and his face darkened. He turned to the stone door at the far end and raised his hand to knock, but stopped himself. He didn’t dare.

His grandfather wouldn’t help him. In fact, if Mo Zhiyuan disturbed his secluded cultivation, his grandfather might very well kill him.

To outsiders, the Mo Family’s survival under an ancient ancestor’s protection was a sign of strength—an untouchable foundation. But Mo Zhiyuan knew better. His grandfather had cultivated for millennia, so familial attachments meant little to him. He was near the end of his lifespan, and it was his last attempt to prolong his life. Interrupting him at such a moment would mean death, blood ties or not.

Mo Zhiyuan drew the golden sword hanging from the wall. His eyes lingered on the shattered jade slips one last time, his killing intent surging. Then, he turned and strode out.

Above the Mo Family residence, figures streaked through the sky as clan members returned from afar, spatial rifts opening one after another.

Rumble!

Thunder shook the heavens. A heavy tension loomed over the entire family.

The Mo Family made no attempt to hide their movements. The whole Daxia Territory had been watching them and Li Guanqi closely, so word of their mobilization spread fast.

In the Northern Territory, inside the main pavilion of the Daxia Sword Sect, Lu Kangnian set down his jade slip, expressionless. He had long foreseen the Mo Family’s actions.

If Li Guanqi had died, they would never have reacted in such a way.

But Li Guanqi hadn’t just survived—he’d grown stronger. Even while hunted by countless people, he kept killing without pause. With his vengeful temperament, he had already wiped out two major factions.

This made the Daxia Sword Sect the focus of the Northern Territory.

Lu Kangnian rose slowly, looking down at the anxious elders gathered below. He chuckled. “What’s with the long faces? Guanqi made a name for himself through his sword! He’s brought honor to our sect. Li Guanqi has done much for us these past two years. Besides, it’s just the Mo Family. Didn’t we all see this coming?”

The elders exchanged smiles. Tu Kui of Heavenly Metal Peak said, “If it’s only Mo Zhiyuan, we’re not worried. We’re just worried that their ancestor might show up.”

Lu Kangnian’s smile deepened. “Don’t fret. He won’t be coming. Everyone, make your preparations. It’s time to lift the sect’s barrier anyway. We’ll let the world witness the current strength of the Daxia Sword Sect.”

Boom!

A terrifying aura erupted from Lu Kangnian as many spirit swords spun around him.

The seven peak masters and the elders all stood up, their power surging outward.

Had Li Guanqi been there, he would have realized that the peak masters and elders were far stronger than before.

As Lu Kangnian’s orders spread, the disciples across the sect learned that the Daxia Sword Sect was planning to reopen its gates ahead of schedule.

The disciples were thrilled; it had been over two years since they last left the mountain. A lot had transpired within the sect during that time. Fueled by Li Guanqi’s accomplishments, particularly after witnessing the recording of his Hell Mountains battle, they had all dedicated themselves to cultivation.

They’d long wanted to show the world that the Daxia Sword Sect had changed.

Lu Kangnian said gently, “Tell Guanqi not to worry about the Mo Family. The sect has us. ”

Everyone smiled and left to prepare. The Mo Family would be arriving soon.

Meanwhile, Li Guanqi arrived at a small town called Liwozi Town. It was quiet and sparsely populated, the kind of place where life was simple and peaceful.

He decided to stay in the first inn he saw. After entering his room, he told the busboy not to disturb him and began tending to his wounds.

Before that, he swept the entire town with his divine consciousness and detected nothing unusual. Only then did he finally let himself relax.

Nine Heavens and Li Guanqi had a mental connection, allowing him to give the dragon discrete orders to keep watch.

He had heard Lu Kangnian’s message and couldn’t help but feel worried. However, his priority was to treat his injuries.
