A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin

Ye Feng shrugged. “I’m too lazy to think. I’ll just do whatever you say, Boss.”

Li Guanqi smiled, not expecting him to understand. He looked up at the slowly thickening mass of heavenly tribulation clouds and murmured, “Fang Yishan should’ve seen the projection stone by now.”

He hadn’t done all this because he thought Fang Yishan was foolish. Quite the opposite. Though his aura wasn’t particularly deep, Li Guanqi suspected he’d be much harder to handle than Fang Zhongnan.

His ultimate goal was to turn the brothers against each other and take advantage of the chaos. Li Guanqi believed that Fang Yishan was a vicious and vengeful person.

Meanwhile at the Great Wind Mountain Residence, Fang Yishan sat alone in his room, holding the projection stone. His face darkened to a terrifying shade.

Guan Lin had only ever been a plaything to him, but that didn’t mean Fang Zhongnan had any right to touch her. From what Fang Zhongnan had said, Fang Yishan sensed that Fang Zhongnan was trying to draw comparisons between them to make himself look better.

He played with the projection stone in his hand and leaned back in his chair. As he mulled over the matter, his eyes shone brightly. It wasn’t clear what he was thinking.

He tapped the table lightly with his knuckles and muttered, “All these years... and you’re still unwilling to behave.”

Then he took out a jade slip. “Keep an eye on Fang Zhongnan. Keep me updated on what he’s doing.”

An old man’s voice came from the jade slip.

—Yes, Lord Fang!

Just as Fang Yishan was about to set the slip down, the voice returned.

—Lord Fang, Second Elder hurriedly left the mountain residence early this morning. Second Lord is heading out now as well.

Fang Yishan frowned, wondering why the father and son would need to meet so early in the morning. He stood up, then took a step forward and vanished from the room.

Not far from Fang Zhongnan’s courtyard, Fang Yishan hovered in the sky, watching calmly as his cousin made his way toward an empty mountain at the rear of the residence.

Fang Zhongnan slipped into a cave, where his father was already waiting. Hidden in the darkness, Fang Yishan listened to everything.

“How could you be so careless?!”

“How was I supposed to know someone would sneak into the estate like that?!”

“Hmmph. That person has recorded what you did in the projection stone. I just don’t know if they intend to blackmail us with it, or... maybe the recording has already been passed to Fang Yishan!”

Fang Zhongnan snickered and looked at the projection stone. “It’s just some petty criminal. If I find him, I’ll kill him.”

His father’s voice rose in frustration at his nonchalance. “And what good would that do? What matters is whether Fang Yishan already has the damn recording!”

Fang Zhongnan scoffed. “So what if he has? He wouldn’t cut ties with me over this. And even if it came to a fight... I’m not afraid of him.”

Fang Yishan’s expression darkened. He hesitated between taking action or staying put. In the end, he decided to wait. With a strange light in his eyes, he took one last long look at the cave, then turned and prepared to leave.

Just then, Fang Zhongnan clenched the projection stone in his hand so tightly in his fury that it shattered.

Boom!

“That’s enough! We’ll act like this never happened. Nothing will come of it!”

But then, Li Guanqi’s voice rang out from the stone. He had deliberately lowered his pitch and faked a slight hoarseness.

“Fang Zhongnan, the Daxia Sword Sect has accepted your terms. If you hand him over, we’ll help you take the Great Wind Mountain Residence.”

Outside the cave, Fang Yishan’s pupils dilated in shock.

But he wasn’t the type to act on impulse. Something about this was too strange. If the Daxia Sword Sect had sent the jade slip behind, why leave a projection stone at his door as well?

With that thought, Fang Yishan left in silence.

Back at the residence, the first thing he did was seal off Fang Zhongnan’s courtyard. After a thorough search, he discovered a jade slip hidden under a roof tile. The moment he saw it, his face went pale.

Naturally, Li Guanqi was the one who had left the jade slip behind. As for what was inside...

It was enough to suggest that Fang Zhongnan had been secretly conspiring with the Daxia Sword Sect to become the new lord of the residence.

After all, only a handful of people knew about the abduction of the Daxia Sword Sect disciple.

Fang Yishan could no longer suppress his anger. He even started to believe that Fang Zhongnan had something to do with his son’s death.

After he left in a rage, the voice in the broken stone rang out again. “Hehe. Yes, I am framing you. And If I guessed right, Fang Yishan must’ve been eavesdropping on you. He should’ve started searching your room by now.

“I even left you a huge present. The kind where you couldn’t even explain yourself if you tried.”

Fang Zhongnan and his father turned ashen, realizing they had fallen into a trap.

“Fang Yishan will probably even blame you two for the death of his son. You should probably think about what to do next.”

Then, the voice disappeared, leaving them both pale. Fang Zhongnan’s father huffed, “Hmmph! You just couldn’t control yourself, could you? Now what are we supposed to do? Even if Fang Yishan wasn’t going to turn on you over some woman, with this person stirring up trouble, there’s no telling what he might do.”

Fang Zhongnan’s eyes narrowed. He made a slicing motion across his throat.

His father stiffened. “Will that even work? Fang Yishan’s not someone you can deal with so easily.”

Fang Zhongnan answered coldly, “Father, we’ve been in hiding long enough. What are we waiting for? We might as well use this chance to—”

Rumble!

The sky rumbled with thunder. Countless auras were fast approaching the mountain. Fang Yishan had decided to kill them, and he had brought his people over.

Fang Yishan hovered in the air, sword in hand. His expression was cold as ice, his eyes blazing with killing intent. Behind him stood another ceremonial elder from the Great Wind Mountain Residence, Lin Hua, an early Golden Core Realm cultivator.

Surrounding them were tens of Foundation Building Realm cultivators, all flying on their swords.

Inside the cave, Fang Zhongnan sensed something was wrong. His eyes flashed coldly, and he unsheathed his sword with a smile. “It looks like he has already made up his mind... He’s my older cousin for a reason. I’m ashamed to admit that I’m not as vicious and decisive as him.”

His father’s fake timidness and caution were now replaced with great confidence and arrogance.

“Hehe. If he wants to die so badly, let’s help him grant that wish!”

Whoosh whoosh!

The two shot into the sky, stopping just ten zhang from Fang Yishan and his forces.

Fang Yishan glared at Fang Zhongnan like a vulture. “My beloved cousin, it’s been so many years, but you still refuse to let your schemes rest.”

Fang Zhongnan smirked and pointed his sword at Fang Yishan. “Fang Yishan, enough with the acting. Was there ever any brotherly love between us? Hahahahaha. Since you want to kill me anyway, I’ll say this now—either you cripple your cultivation now, or you die.”

Boom!

Fang Jing and Fang Zhongnan’s auras erupted suddenly and exerted a terrifying pressure on the space around them. Their auras climbed until they reached the late Golden Core Realm!

Fang Zhongnan and his father unleashed their auras, shaking the very air around them. Their auras climbed rapidly until they reached the late Golden Core Realm.

Fang Yishan’s gaze remained steady. “Is that what you two have been hiding from me?”
