“Alright, I’ll consider it.” Cao Rui nodded in agreement, maybe it was time for her to change her lifestyle. From childhood to adulthood, she hadn’t done much; she was pampered at home, and didn’t have to do much when married. Seeing others living happily now, she didn’t want to continue like this.

The main issue was that her husband was rarely home and didn’t spend much time with her when he was. This was the most distressing part, even her basic physiological needs weren’t being met, which made her even more depressed.

She often wondered whether her husband treated her this way because she was idle all day and thus, seemed unimpressive to him.

But if she were to start working, she didn’t know what she could do, she seemingly didn’t have any particular skills.

Now that her sister-in-law suggested she find something to do, she should give it a try. Whatever the case, with her daughter grown up and her husband not loving her anymore, she would have to try and make a change.

“You agreed?” Liu Fen didn’t expect Cao Rui to take her words so readily this time.

“Yes, you mean well for me. I cannot always stay within my own world, doing nothing, right.” As Cao Rui thought about what she could do, it seemed she only knew how to cook, a skill she learnt after marriage to please her husband. She knew some embroidery, but it wasn’t trendy anymore. To her surprise, she realized she was rather useless, with no real skills. If she were a man, she wouldn’t admire, let alone love, someone like herself.

“You should have thought of this earlier, think about what you want to do.” Liu Fen glanced at Cao Rui, it was good that she was receptive. Once a person has a goal, they broaden their horizons and won’t be stuck in minor matters.

“I will, thank you, sister-in-law.” Cao Rui thanked Liu Fen. Regardless of their personal relationship, Liu Fen had been kind to her over the years, considering her feelings in many things. For that, she thanked Liu Fen.

“We’re family, don’t mention it. Sometimes I’m too busy for shopping, since we have time now, let’s go shopping and buy some little gifts for the family.” Liu Fen smiled.

“Okay.” Cao Rui agreed. Sure, let’s go shopping. Money wasn’t an issue, her husband gave her allowance every month and her family gave her money too. But since she rarely bought things, she had been saving the money.

The two sisters-in-law went shopping together. Around the same time, Qin Xue arrived at Wu Tianci’s house, having put her recent encounter behind her.

“Aunt Wu, are you home?” Qin Xue looked at the closed gate, knocked on it, calling out.

“Who is it?” Aunt Wu was resting at home. She initially wanted to do some farm work, but considering what her son said, she decided against it. She couldn’t bear to leave her son alone. So, thinking about her son’s words, and realizing he made sense, she decided to take better care of herself so she could always be there for him and went back to her room to rest.

“It’s me, Qin Xue, I came to check on your health and see how your recovery is going.” Qin Xue explained her visit.

“Oh, it’s you, dear, come on in and have a seat.” Aunt Wu had a good impression of Qin Xue and always remembered the girl who had saved her life.

“Aunt Wu, you’re very kind, how have you been feeling recently?” Observing the significant improvement in her health, Qin Xue asked.
