(Second Book Complete!) Runeblade: A Delving & Skill Merging LitRPG

The day is fast approaching! I am sweating like a maniac!

The transition from webnovel to a fully fledged published story is always nerve wracking. There is a lot of work that goes into it, from organising covers, to writing blurbs, to editing, to audio. All for you to still be at the utter mercy of bezos and his unholy Algo’Rithm. If you’ve ever wanted to support me as an author, and really help to guarantee that i’ll get to write stories forever more and make Runeblade as good as it can be, this is the best way to do so.

Not just by preordering (though those are great), but if you have a kindle unlimited subscription reading via there on release. Early, consistent readership is insanely important to be picked up by the recommendation algorithm, and that is what makes or breaks entire series on that platform. Rating the book afterwards too. That’s also insanely helpful.

I have put an insane amount of work into these ebooks. I know its a bit of a meme that no one has the time or money for really thorough developmental editing in this genre, but, well, thanks to you guys I had the money, and I damn well put my head in a vice and found the time. Now, was it risky to go all in to the point where I need to make 13k usd to break even on B1? Yes. Do I have terrible risk management skills? Also yes.

I really *really* want to keep investing that heavily into every ebook I make, because even if I write schlocky action litRPG, I want it to be the best damn schlocky action litRPG I can possibly make it.

So, I come to you hat in hand. Pls read.

Could be via preorder, could be simply making use of your existing Kindle Unlimited subscription to skim and reread the rewritten fights and other bits and bobs. Rate, tell me your thoughts, all that jaz. Kindle Unlimited is a good option if you’re broke, because basically every litrpg and progfant book ever gets published there for free, so reading and rating books that way you can support basically every author for the price of 1 patreon sub. But if you’re mega broke, just like pirate my book on zlib then rate on goodreads and yap about it to everyone you meet lmao.

Audio

On to some specifics:

Ebook and Audio launch simultaniously on June 17th. Audio is a massive 32.5 hours!

Next week for the launch announcement post I will do a side by side of one of the earliest glade fight scenes so you can see the level of changes!

I will take a 1 week break from posting immediately after this happens (I have to rewrite trials 2+3 in the crucible wipeee /s)

When I return chapters will be 5/week, m-f, NZT! (all this dev editing is gnarly man, I hope to post more in the future, but for now I need to preserve my sanity. Also no more PTW grind)

New Blurb for Amazon!:

He only wanted a class. Instead he restarted the apocalypse. The world will pay the price.

Kaius has spent years working to awaken his family’s forbidden Legacy Skills, powerful and vanishingly rare skills forged through methods that wars have been fought to obtain. Even with his father pushing him to his limit, Kaius has barely managed to merge the first two.

Now those skills and his training are the only thing keeping him alive. A bandit ambush forces Kaius into the Great Depths, a world-spanning mega dungeon, and he’s trapped in a place where survival demands a class he doesn’t yet have, with exits held shut by ancient horrors.

To escape, Kaius will have to manage a feat no one without a class has survived: slaying one of the Guardians that defend the exits. But the guardian is a distant concern, as the Depths are rich with danger. He realizes that might be exactly the crucible he needs to collect all of his merged skills before class selection. And, just maybe, force the world on the path of progress after stagnating for far too long.

Fate has picked its fulcrum. Lost power and a forgotten apocalypse lie in wait, deep in the Depths
