From Arsenal to the Ball God

”Ai...Ai!!” Van Persie’s eyes showed desire, and he reached out to loudly respond to Ma’el, hoping the latter would notice his run.

Ma’el naturally wouldn’t keep his head down. He had no intention of stopping the ball; his left foot was firmly planted as the support foot, and his right foot swung out to meet the incoming ball, attempting to pass it with the heel to deliver it to Van Persie’s running line.

This was a classic third-man run. If successfully completed, it would undoubtedly be a very spectacular goal!

Even their offensive push would be regarded as a representative goal of beautiful football, a regular feature in any classic team goal compilation!

Every player involved in the process would have a new masterpiece on this field.

”Swish...!”

Ma’el’s right heel made contact with the ball. His ball sense was excellent, allowing him to slide his foot along the ball to the back side to better ensure the passing line.

During the process, he glanced at Van Persie’s running speed through the corner of his eye, but unexpectedly saw David Luiz already predicting and moving around behind him into the passing line.

There’s an ambush!

Can’t pass it!

The other advantage of keeping his right foot on the ball became evident... At the critical moment, Ma’el pressed down with the arch of his foot, trying to decelerate the ball and bring it back under control.

But performing this maneuver from behind was really difficult, and although the ball’s energy was reduced, it couldn’t be stopped.

Suddenly, he remembered a move from freestyle football where the ball is pressed and popped up, which is done by first pressing the ball down with the arch of the foot, and then quickly lifting the foot with burst force to make the ball bounce up with compressed power.

”Pop!”

In a split second, Ma’el half-squatted for better force, then pressed down hard with the arch of his right foot, then swiftly pulled it upward, his ankle flicking quickly during the process to increase friction.

The numerous attempts at popping up the ball amid jokes with Jose, and the repeated practice in earnest after laughing, helped him at this moment!

”Swish!”

Ma’el popped the ball up about 10 centimeters from behind him, successfully stopping it!

Pursuing power, his leg rose up and swung to the side, causing his body to become a 25-degree tilted capital ’I’.

Should he now stabilize the center of gravity?

Turn around?

Stop the ball?

No!

Looking at the popping ball, Ma’el suddenly had an idea for a more graceful and complex way to deal with it, with intense impulse showing in his eyes.

Though it was a handling technique with a very low success rate, the temptation of succeeding in such a splendid appeal was too great for him to resist trying!

Before re-centering his weight, he twisted his right leg outward, then swung the instep to strike the ball about to hit the ground.

”Pop!”

The ball hit the ground and immediately bounced up to a height of about two meters.

After Ma’el’s right foot landed, he stepped down dominantly with his left foot, making a half-turn to the left with flair.

David Luiz, who was marking him, initially judged Ma’el’s possible passing route, but now, after seeing Ma’el’s such difficult move to pop the ball up, felt things were wrong, turned around trying to intercept.

But it was too late!

Ma’el’s left foot had just touched the ground as he jumped up, without pausing, clearly having planned a series of moves ahead.

Ascending, his body swung with the inertia from the turn, completing a flamboyant aerial turn, his right foot hooking towards the ball in mid-air!

At such a moment, he was more like a circus performer, or an acrobat, or someone executing a flying kick during a taekwondo demonstration.

This was not at all a conventional football move!

What’s more, when it occurred after a high-difficulty heel pop-up, a right-foot strike that lifted the ball, followed by a rotational aerial leap!

”Bang!!”

After his foot hit the ball hard, David Luiz, rushing to intercept, jumped frantically trying to block the ball.

But the ball still brushed past his face, heading to the goal, and Ma’el’s landing foot nearly slammed into his face.

The entire stadium fell silent for a moment; people just stood up watching the goal guarded by Cech.

”Swish!” The ball flew past Cech’s hands attempting to save it, hitting the side net; at this moment, many people’s anxious hearts were relieved... Yes, how could such a ball not go in?

Bad luck can erupt at any time, but when a player performs such dazzling work, even merciless misfortune would be reluctant to spoil it.

The ball was in!

Three-one!!

”Wowww...Yeahhh...!!”

Nearly ten thousand people simultaneously covered their heads, including both Arsenal and Chelsea fans, while neutral fans and remaining Arsenal fans waved their arms together.

”Oh...Fuck...!!! Are you kidding me...?! ”

”My god...!!”

”How did he do it? What kind of goal was that? Is he an action star? Was it a traditional pass with David?”

”This is definitely the most spectacular goal I have seen in my life so far, without exception! I swear!”

”Ma’el, god!!”

Countless arms waved continuously in the stands as the fans roared excitedly, knowing that Ma’el couldn’t hear but unable to stop venting their emotions.

”Aha...”

Wenger by the sideline initially wanted to celebrate, but seemed to be frozen by emotion, just covering his mouth with one hand, his face showing shock, ”Aha...Ahhaa...!!”

Until the emotions eventually erupted, he clenched his fists, turned around passionately embracing the coaches on the bench, ”He’s different again, isn’t he? He is absolutely a new football sprite!”

”It really came!!”
