From Arsenal to the Ball God

Ma’el’s eyes lit up as he quickly stepped onto the podium, thoroughly enjoying the process of going back and forth.

It’s really him!

”Yeahhh.....!” Seeing the captain go up for the third time, fans and players alike raised their arms in excitement. They clearly noticed that since Ma’el won the Best Player of the Final, he might take four out of five.

On the other side, Iniesta and a group of Spain players watched Ma’el go up, their eyes revealing confusion.

What does this mean?

It should be that the other side left them here as a hint that there is surely another prize.

But now there’s no Best Player of the Final; could it be the Best Player of the Tournament?

That obviously doesn’t make sense. Ma’el has scored 11 goals, provided 2 assists, averaged over 2 per game, plus the championship trophy. How can others compete with him for the best?

Even if it were given to them, they wouldn’t dare accept it, fearing the backlash from Ma’el’s fans the next morning.

Could it be that there’s nothing?

Many frowned, feeling tricked... They were already in a bad mood from losing the match, and if there were no more prizes, they could have been allowed to leave early. Why make them stay?

Just to be Ma’el’s backdrop, or to add a non-existent suspense to his sweep of four awards?

Iniesta and others’ faces darkened, already annoyed by seeing the frantic Fabregas in the locker room.

Some turned and walked away directly; after all, even if there were more awards, they’d most likely go to Xiaobai and Javi. They saw no reason to participate in what they deemed a humiliating ceremony.

”The last award is for the Best Player of this Tournament, granted to the player with the most outstanding overall performance.”

The female host noticed the unusual behavior of the Spain team players and felt a bit pressured. She didn’t dare to keep the suspense and directly announced the winner, ”It’s still Leon Ma’erel! We’ll have to trouble our best to run once again!

”With an astonishing record of creating 2.16 goals per game, creating 5.2 clear shooting opportunities, 8 successful breakthroughs, and 1.9 threatening passes!

”He has become the undoubtedly best-performing player in a single European Cup tournament in history! I think this will make people forget he’s still a young player, winning four major awards during his Best Rookie period!”

”Aaahhh.....!!”

”Clap clap.....!!”

The cheers and applause were deafening, and the fans began to sing the song they had sung not long ago, ”With deadly long shots and crazy headers.....! He.....”

Amid the fervor, Ma’el climbed onto the podium under the admiring gaze of tens of thousands, receiving his fourth personal award.

”Phew.....!” He let out a long breath, unable to hide the smile on his face. Taking four out of five had really happened.

He was both surprised and a little regretful. If he could also take the Assist King, it would have been a true sweep, an unprecedented achievement!

However, he genuinely couldn’t. After moving up to the top leagues, he gradually changed his playing style and started playing as a striker, sometimes playing a bit independently.

This was also why he couldn’t win the Assist King in the Premier League last season.

He could only say to keep striving, to continue improving his strength, so that in top-level competitions, he could effortlessly win both the Golden Boot and the Assist King!

Next year, he will strive to reclaim the Premier League Assist King, achieve the Premier League Grand Slam, and in the next European Cup, he aims to take back the Assist King to achieve the European Cup Grand Slam!

Now, let’s not think about those things and just enjoy the achievement of winning four major awards in this tournament!

Including the replica trophies and gold medals, along with an extra commemorative Golden Boot, his honor room will have seven new additions..... this is the result of his achievements over the past month.

He was very satisfied and firmly committed to continuing down this path with confidence.

This time, it was finally his turn to make an acceptance speech. The host handed the microphone to his mouth, but he was a bit tongue-tied and ultimately just raised his arms with a radiant smile, ”Thank you.....!!”

After getting off the stage, looking at Isabella, who was holding four trophies with a face full of surprise, he confidently put his arm around his girlfriend’s neck and led her to take a photo with the trophies.

He also borrowed his teammates’ gold medals, hanging them all around his neck as if he had won dozens of medals at once.

”Fola.....!!”

In front of the De Lorne Golden Cup, Ma’el lay sideways like a mermaid, biting his gold medal. In front of him were the five commemorative personal trophies, and beside him, Isabella lay in the same pose.

”Click click.....!”

Reporters from all over the world took photos to document the moment. Peter and Amelia exchanged a glance, thinking of changing the documentary’s ending.

Amid their celebration, several players from the Spain team walked towards the player tunnel, full of disappointment and resentment.
