Evolution Begins with Elemental Domination

The Three-Star Water Element Tide Envoy had been pinned by a gravity anchor, fixing him firmly to a single spatial coordinate.

No matter how he activated his Torrential Flow Skill, or how waves surged around him, he could only spin uselessly in place.

”No!”

To make matters worse, an invisible Strong Will had just flung his tactical backpack away from behind him. A blaze erupted, incinerating the supplies inside along with a scapegoat doll.

The Tide Envoy’s pupils contracted. He knew he was one step away from the gates of hell.

”Goodbye.”

A four-directional vector gravity tore his body to shreds.

The reason Su Chen had targeted this Water Mage was undoubtedly because the man had used Water Mirror Refraction Lv7, which happened to be exactly what he needed.

VMMM!

After collecting the Runes and Spirit Marrow Crystals that dropped, Su Chen pulled back. Light and Dark Particles diffused around him like a mist as he prepared to warp away.

However, his action was swiftly suppressed.

A wave of Dark Gravity instantly nullified his ability to warp.

”So it’s you.”

Far from being annoyed, a flicker of interest appeared in Su Chen’s eyes.

The Mysterious Warlock he had fought before had struck again.

The gravitational distortion didn’t just lock him down. It also affected the streams of Light Bullets strafing from a distance, deflecting their trajectories and causing them to miss completely.

But when this gravity tried to penetrate the surface of Su Chen’s body, his Telekinesis Barrier perfectly insulated him from it.

VMMM!

The next moment, he abruptly activated his Telekinesis to accelerate himself in the opposite direction.

Like a cannonball, he forcefully broke free from the gravitational restraints and hurtled toward the Mysterious Warlock’s position.

It was a case of using brute force to overcome finesse, a repeat of an old trick.

’Damn it...’

He didn’t even have to think. He had just witnessed the tragedy of the Water Mage’s failed escape.

His form immediately underwent Vaporization and vanished. The Mysterious Warlock had no intention of prolonging the struggle or strengthening his gravity; he simply banished himself, leaving the physical plane.

The instant he disappeared, a Fire Mage rushing in from a flanking ridge cursed aloud.

”Fuck!”

’This isn’t the coordinated attack we agreed on at all!’

Seeing the gravitational restraint fading, he had no choice but to unleash the attack he’d been brewing.

BOOM!

A torrent of searing flame cascaded down like a waterfall, pouring entirely into the Gravity Field’s area.

The flames writhed violently within the residual gravitational waves. Billowing heat rolled out, and even the rocks on the ground quickly melted and disintegrated.

However, a brand-new, spherical Water Mirror Screen instantly formed around Su Chen. When the flames crashed against it, they weren’t evaporated. Instead, they were instantly captured, compressed, and re-energized.

’Reflect!’

The accumulated fire, instantly fused with Flame Burst and Thunder Runes, merged into a stream of superheated plasma. It then sprayed out in a Frenzy, like a blooming flower of death.

BOOM!

The Fire Mage bore the brunt of the attack. His shield didn’t last half a second before he was blasted to dust by his own flames, now infused with the power of the thunderous blast.

’Number ten.’

Su Chen silently tallied the souls he had claimed that night.

...

「Meanwhile.」

Oran City.

The Rune Core.

Mission Hall.

Compared to the sea of people in Dongfu City, there were only about twenty people here.

One of them, a man in a sharp suit, stood silently outside. His silvery-gray tie pin and cufflinks all gave off a faint elemental gleam. As he finished interfacing his consciousness with the Mission Hall, he learned his rank had dropped to fourth.

’So restless tonight.’

He thought for a moment. ’Fine. Since they refuse to accept peace... then I shall grant them true Destruction.’
